The ideal anime

My ideal anime would have to be directed by Kunihiko Ikuhara. :) I'm interested in seeing what he's capable of doing with a male main character (preferably one played by the ever-lovely Mitsuki Saiga). While shounen-ai would certainly be nice, quality romance or romantic undertones--same-sex or het--is definitely a must, as is lavishly animated action. I'd want there to be an emphasis on music; if that necessitates sticking one of the leads in a band, so be it.

I guess I would like this hypothetical show to incorporate the usual themes and plot of a shounen action series like Yu Yu Hakusho or Hunter x Hunter, while portraying its characters and their relationships in a more... shoujo-istic fashion, so to speak. One of the things that implies is making the shounen-ai/shoujo-ai vibes frequently found in such series a little more important and concrete. Of course, the whole thing would end up resembling The Melody of Oblivion and Revolutionary Girl Utena, with bucketloads of symbolism and so forth. Heavily stylized character designs are optional; strong artwork is not.

Alternatively, both Legal Drug and Death Note (two manga currently running in Japan) would make great anime. If ever animated, they could probably surpass my current favorites.

My ideal anime would involve traditional images of things like ninjas and samurai in a contemporary setting, the internet, and would take place in a city named after an obscure food.

The animation would be fluid, not particularly stylized, and would be accompanied by the most exquisite combination of classical, techno, and anything else, when it came to the sound-track.
During the saddest of scenes, the least predictable of tracks would play, setting moods that would confound to a complete lack of end, and there would be at least one table-flip scene per episode.

It would follow the exploits of high-school students who go on zany mystery-solving adventures by night, during which they have to put their m4d n1nj4 sk1llz to work. There would be lots of brilliantly-coreographed fight-scenes that were entirely berreft of silly moral inhibitions. That is: blood. Everywhere. For little or no reason. >: 3

It would, of course, involve unbelievably heart-wrenching and brain-hurting emotional and pyschological dilemmas, which would provide no end of tears, laughter, and eagerness to watch the next 20 minutes of sheer godliness.

The opening theme would be The Pillows' "Crazy Sunshine" and the ending would be "Unmei" by AKFG.

Well, my ideal anime would need many things. It would have to be wierd, usually, with a makes-no-sense type of world. The plot most be strong, dispite this, and give it a strange sense of reality, even if it dose not take place in the same world. It needs to have a romantic part, but it cant be jsut a kissfest, it needs to moderate. But it also needs to have action, otherwise things get tired and boreing. Here are some I feal are appropriat for me!

Ragnarok: Actualy a Manga, it still kicks royal ***, becouse it has beautifula art, kool action, stronge love triangles, and it;s based on Norse Mythology, of which I am a fanatic about.

xxxHolic: Also a manga, it is simply incredible. Though I have only read volume one, it is simply the most amazing manga I have ever read. It has a strong potential for a romantic intrest, the artwork is incredible, and most improtently, it makes no sense!!!

Naruto: Awsom action, possibilty for romance, makes no literal sense, and, most importent of all, it is seriously funny! Best Anime since Cowboy Bebop.

Cowboy Bebop: And, finally, the legendary Cowboy Bebop. Probably the best anime EVER, CB combines all these elemnts into one!! Action, beautiful animation, wasn't repetitive, it was funnny (somtimes) and it simply was awsom! Probably the best part was the ending, the last 7 eps kicked ***! Some animes ave endings that trail off, to no real point or purpose! CB avoided this compeltly, and made the Downloads completly worhwhile!! 10/10!

The Ideal anime should have a dark and obscure plot. Something hard to grasp, a world that seems to be about deception and lies, a world where nothing is what it seems. An ideal anime should have plot twists, start out simply but grow darker as the story progresses. It needs a logical world with a dark truth that remains hidden and unbelieved as well as rarely seen. The protaganist should be locked in this world of logic as this world of darkness slowly draws him into it. It should have tragedy that slowly drags the protaganist into Hopelessness and sadness. Slowly the protaganist is forced to confront the approaching darkness as his world of logic, Physics and understanding as it turns to a world of insanity, magic, and mystery. That my friends is truly great anime.

undefinedI think that the ideal anime should have all sorts of different things. Like you I think it should be a little primitive with all the swords and bows, but magic should be the main idea. I also like when there are people with animal like features like cat-ears or tails and rabbit ears. So kawaii!!!:catgirl: NEway I think that there should also be elementals that can control the elements like wind and earth but fire is my fav.! Well this is really fun but I've got to go :animesigh Cya!!!
