What freaky moments have you had in life? I've had alot... When I was about 8 we had a black widow in our kitchen, twice acually. When I was 9 my family and I went camping in Arizona and we were hiking up this mountain and I almost stepped on a rattlesnake. I screamed and stepped back. It could have bit me but it was raining so it was a bit cold which made the rattlesnake slower. We saw 5 rattle snakes that day. A few years back I was sitting in my bedroom and a huge spider came crawling up to my brother and I... Needless to say I didn't sleep in my room for a few days. When I was about 12 my brother and I were sitting in the living room and a bug with what it seemed like a million legs crawled on my brothers leg. My mom told us it was an Earwig, it was disgusting...

The little incident with Fluffy that I talked about in the memories thread was pretty freaky. Also, there was a time when I was reading in my room and a huge Daddy Longlegs dropped on me. I have aracniphobia (the fear of spiders) so I ran out of my house screaming like a crazy woman, and preceeded to jump around on my so called lawn much to the amusement of my friend who was coming up the walkway, who later told me it resembled a Native American Rain Dance. -__-;;;

LoL, spiders=freakist moment?
Actually I think Arachnaphobia (fear of spiders) is one of the top 5 phobias out there, so dont worry, you're not alone.

The freakiest moment of my life was when I was about 10 and my younger sister, and 2 of my friends were in a park and walking about 100feet ahead of our parents. A guy pulled up in some car and told us that a "wild wildebeast" had gotten loose and we all had to get in his car to get to safety. My sister bolted off running, and when one of my friends and I realized what he was trying to do, we bolted too. My 2nd friend didn't run, but when our parents came around the bend, the guy kicked his car in reverse, and flipped it 180degrees (like in the movies) and sped away. I didn't realize until much later how close I had come to being another one of those missing children on the news.

Oh boy, I have ALOT of these moments...

Well, one time, I was outside, late... walking my dog,... (this was when I was 8) We were walking to a lil hangout, me and my friends made, but all of a sudden, I felt this cold breath on my neck... I was too scared to turn around, but a sudden growl from behind,..well.... made me look back.

I looked back, to see this Huge black, rotweiler(sp?) behind me. I pretended not to notice, and slowly began to walk faster. The dog did the same. He chased us all the way to that secret hiding place.. We kept on running, and ran up a flight of stairs, ducking under a chain meanwhile. (the chain was to tell people not to cross, duh.) I crossed anyway, and my dog was small enough to run right under it. The dog behind us choked on the chain, and fell flat on its side.

That was the freakest moment of my life that I can remeber.... *shudders*

Just so you know a daddy longlegs is not a spider. It?s an insect that looks like a spider.

I?ve had a couple freaky moments...
Once I jumped into a hotel pool, but it wasn?t as deep as I thought it was, so my legs were out straight and hit the bottom of the pool hard. It was probably shock, but I couldn?t move or breath well so I started screaming and crying like a baby. What really pissed me off was that other people were swimming around nearby and just ignored me! When I climbed out of the pool they asked if I was alright!!

Also I often suffer waking dreams, which is a dream during the transition between being asleep and being awake. They?re very realistic because your senses are active, and typically for most people involve the feeling of paralysis and some scary creature, usually an alien or an old hag, for me it?s a giant spider...
Don?t get me wrong or anything, I?m not afraid of spiders, I just highly dislike them.

once my goat who thought he was a big bad dog decided to steal my rottweilers food. Seeing my dog with my goat in his mouth was enough to make me shake, and i had to pull them apart and....man that goat was stupid. as soon as i got him free he ran into the dogs dog house. another time one of my cats got out and made its way over to a vicious dog. i pulled him away to hear one last dying meow.....i still get sad when i think about that last sound, a long pitiful meow....

Actually, technically, not.

Meh.

Last fall, I went for a walk around dusk. Down to Lake Michigan, I walked about a mile down the shore, went down to the river, started walking back through the residential area. Not the most expensive neighborhood in the world, if you catch my meaning.

Anyhoo, it was my street, just about ten long blocks south of where I live. I was walking, it was after dark by then. Going on 8 o' clock. It was a full moon--that's why I'd gone for a walk in the first place, to look at the moon over the lake. Lots of weird shadows, with moonlight coming through bare trees.

I'm a bit jumpy--people at school make a game out of sneaking up on me in the hallways. So I was out alone after dark, spooky shadows, the perfect whistling wind--the whole scene was straight out of a movie. You know, the kind where you yell at the stupid moron on the tv screen Don't check out that noise, you idiot!!!! [Or something to that effect.]

Somewhere, a few blocks away, there some sort of catfight started. Those things sound creepy. I'm a little nervous [okay, more that just a little]. My heart's beating way too fast, I quicken my pace, and suddenly--

BONG!!!!

It was like had put a big metal pot over my head and pounded on it with a hammer. I nearly had a heart attack. And then it happened again. I bit back a shriek. And agai-- By this time I realized just, exactly where I was.

Walking right past the bell tower of St. Joe's Church, at exactly eight at night. -.-;

Heh, that's ridiculous. I'd be more afraid of rare diseases in a portapotty than a harmless daddy longlegs :whoops:

I haven't had too many 'freaky' moments in my life (aside from being chased by dingoes in the Australian bush), but the one that traumatized me the most was watching a man get electrocuted by lightning.

...yet people still question why I'm afraid of storms :confuse2:
