Guest CAZ
We are not microscopic organisms living in some massive alien. At the center of our galaxy is a super massive black hole, anything with that in it?s belly would implode. Plus if we were inside something space would be pressurized. Now as for pseudo-Earths on the other side of the sun... That?s crazy. We have satellites heading out into space in a semi-straight line, anything in orbit around the sun would have been seen. Plus just because there?s Oxygen doesn?t mean there?s life. At one time the introduction of Oxygen, by plants, caused 90% of Earth life to go extinct. Plus Oxygen is corrosive. It?s what causes us to age and die. Mitochondria randomly evolved to be able to cope, and benefit from Oxygen, and thus saved all animal life, or at least the 10% that remained. If Mitochondria hadn?t evolved, only plants would exist. We look for water on planets for a reason. Carbon, the building block of our Galaxy, when mixed with water , nitrogen, and some other special conditions creates very, simple life which can evolve to be more complex. Carbon, and Nitrogen is everywhere, water is the rarity. Thus if you find water there?s a good chance there may be life. Anyways, I believe there is definitely life somewhere out there. I?m pretty sure everyone agrees with that. I also believe there is some sort of intelligent life. When I say that I mean anything with a brain is intelligent, as they think. As for human level intelligence, not likely. Possibly cave-man level intelligence, but not current day. We would have noticed them by now, with all the stuff we have pointed at space. Eventually we will have contact with another intelligent species. Not in person, but via some form of long distance communication. We?d use computers to translate their data, and have a sort of really long distance pen pal relationship. You guys either watch to much, or not enough sci-fi. Genkai
hey, th orbits of planets vary from eachother, so planets, (which would be the planets with life etc.) on the other side of the sun would've been noticed, cause earths rotation would either be slower or faster by some amount of time/space. of, course, the difference could be very small....... but really, the chances of ther being a proto/pseudo earth on the other side of the sun is small. of course, i definetely believe in aliens, it's impossible that they don't exist. Well If im not mistaken, though I very much could be, all the satellites e have sent out, we lost contact once theyve passed Pluto(correct me if Im wrong) Just because we have Hubble, etc...out their, doesnt mean we would have seen them by now. Now yet, have I seen a close up of a planet in another soloar system. Now if there isnt/arent any pictures like that, how would we have noticed them by now? And the intelligence thing bothers me. Why would they have "cave-man" intelligence? And not ppresent day intelligence such as us? I believe that they might have the same intelligence as us, or a bit mroe advanced than us. I mean, other lifeforms, could have been around MUCH MUCH longer than we have. And yes, if theres water theres a very good chance of life. But it doesnt mean that everythign outside of Earth, needs water to live. They may have some other substance to live. Yes oyu said it yourself, "Our galaxy", carbon was the building substance of our galaxy, how do we know exactly what others are made of? Blah Blah Blah, yes satellites, telescopes, but how accurate can those really be? Well Im done now, later.

vegeta rocker
i personally have seen too much not to believe, and sightings have been around since the 1900's you can't dismiss all of them. It would also be a huge waste of space if we were only ones in the universe. Most scientists dismiss aliens because they say the Cambrian explosion might never have happened on earth so its highly improbable it would happen anywhere else. Cambrian schmambrian! If aliens have cave-man level intelligence, as you are saying, how would we be able to communicate with them? To communicate with someone through space, don't you at least need computers and a whole lot of hi-tech stuff? And if they have cave-man inteligence, what data would they have that we can translate? Mitch
Yes there are aliens I am certain. The universe has to have an end, there has to be other life on other planets. I think that there has been life before us on different planets, take mars for example, it's a red ball of dust, due to someone draining it of all it's resources. That is what we are doing to this planet.
ifm2181
I do believe in them, but I doubt a lot of the alien sightings that the scourge of the earth talk about. Out of all the space in...space, there HAS to be at least one other planet close enough to a sun to sustain some basic form of life. The most probable form would be some microbe, or possibly vegetation.
Ryan
Yes, there has to be aliens. Now people say space goes on and on forever but that may not be true because we can't even go past Pluto. And remember people. Aliens don't have to be in the same galaxy as us. There are billions and billions of other galaxies and there has to be extra-terrestrial life somewhere. We can't be the only ones. And as the intelligence goes, they could be like cave-men just evolving or they could be more advanced then us by a trillion years. Yes, there are aliens. I can't prove it, but the odds of there not being aliens is like a trillion to one with all of the galaxies. We may not even ever find other life EVER. But there has to be other life. There just has to be.

Trumen
I agree with some peoples theories and disagree with others, but you all have opened my eyes to other possibilities. Also, I think that aliens are probably out there somewhere, but most of us will never come in contact with them, because a lot of humans are stuborn. ifm2181
Why would an intelligent race want to visit our crummy planet anyway? All that's good out here is anime :)
Trumen
I agree, if the aliens out there have a lower or the same intelligents span as ours they couldn't get here. Also if them had a higher intelligents span then why would they come? unless they wanted to watch some shows.
amibasuki
I believe there are aliens in space. although I wouldn't call them aliens. and I highly doubt we're ever going to ever actually see one, considering how far the universe spans out. someone living on the other end of the universe wouldn't be able to come 'visit' if they tried, lol.
