Grand Theft Auto: Vice

What I really hope for is an improvement in Police AI.

I know it was improved for GTA:III but it just didn't feel like they were out to get you at all, just consistently ramming your car until it either fell off into a river or caught on fire, consequently getting out of the car and shooting you dead (if you were on a wanted rating of 2 stars or higher).

Plus, the helicopter might bring about new problems, police might do a GTA:III and ram you with another helicopter, which would make little sense at all...

Other than that I've seen some screens and the fact that you can now enter a lot of buildings seems excellent, coupled with the extra weapons and new cars it seems Vice may be a worthwhile purchase..

Vice City will not only obviously make my "Best. Game. Ever." list. Unfortionatly, it'll obviously make, also, parents' "Must. Burn. All. Copies." list.

I hate censoring.

As far as inovation goes for this game, I'm going to complete the game first. THEN go on a rampage. Or maybe I'll actually get a Memory card, and take breaks every now and then.

But I really wanna see Piro's idea about buildings implimented. YOU HEAR ME, ROCKSTAR?! I WANNA BLOW UP BUIDLINGS!!!

Seriously, one of my best times is getting the Molotov Cocktails and torching The Don's 'Gentlemen's' Club after he betrays you.

And as far as interactibility insues, I really want to have inter-changeible characters. But for now, I'll leave it at that.

Sharks: The Ability To Swim Comes At A Cost
In the August preview video (high/low) from ViceCity.com, there's something rather special swimming around in the first boat scene. At first I thought it was the outline of the bridge pillars making it look like a shark, but after a closer look it became clear; there was a shark in the water!

It's not as clear in a still screenshot, but if you take a look at the movie, you'll see it moving forward slowly at the pillar of the first boat scene - it almost looks like the sharks dorsal fin is above the water. It's quite challenging with the camera moving from right to left, but now you know it's there it should be easier.

Will these sharks attack? Can we feed them? Will blood fill the water as someone is eaten alive? I wonder...

Internet Movie Database
The popular movie web site, IMDB.com (owned by Amazon.com) has information on 5 confirmed voice actors that will be appearing in ViceCity. What's odd is the resemblance to the actors who do their voices.

Gary Busey (FBI detective from Point Break, and Private investigator from The Firm) is the voice of Phil Cassidy

Luis Guzman (Short, Stocky, United States FBI agent in the movie Traffic) is the voice of Ricardo Diaz

Lawrence Taylor (former Linebacker for the NY Giants) is the voice of B.J. Smith

David Paymer (Funny looking, Jewish, character actor in City Slickers, City Hall, American President, State and Main, and many other films) is the voice of Ken Roseburg

Danny Trejo (Desperado, Con Air, Heat, The Replacement Killers) is the voice of Umberto Robina

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It would be cool if you could skate, roller skate, blow up buildings, swim, shoot dogs and of course the rampages were more easier...
Oh, and about that blowing up buildings thing...
I saw an interview with one of the game's Scottish designers...and he specifically alluded do the fact that "some can even be blown up!" -- referring to structures.
So that's interesting. I wonder exactly what he meant...(since obviously, it would be stupid to blow up every building...that'd kind of ruin the game lol).
Wheeeee, so you can blow up some buildings? I see. I think it may be for some specific missions, like blow up a wall or something so you can get something, a car or something.
Yep, would ruin the game if you just could blow up every single building.
It would be great if you could blow up any building that you wanted.
It would most certainly add dimensions of terrorism into the game, when you take damage buildings and add Dodo planes. O_o
I think it would be really fun. desomate an entire block? why the heck not? :p
I too bought the game just yesterday, and I love it to bits.
I turned the trails effect off though, I couldn't play with it on.. Tht thing I love the most are the bikes, storming away from the police doing a wheelie is a ton of fun.
Well, I don't believe there is a cheat, but there are some GameShark codes on it, but then you get into the specific weopons, and it gets pretty confusing. If you want them, go to a search engine and type "Vice City infinite ammo."
The weapon cheat is brilliant. I can get on 5 stars in barely a minute with a minigun and a row of police cars ;)
The auto infra-red sniper rifle is excellent too, it destroys cars in barely two or three shots. It's useful for everything except sniping, lol.
Who need's police cars, lol. I tend to just get as much ammo as I can for the Pistol or Uzi and aim at one person, start firing and keep running, switching between targets (people) with R2/L2.. so fun, but it's even better if you do it in gang territory. :whoops:
After playing this game for the first time, It completely blew me away. The fighting styles seem enhance somewhat. Finding out that eveything i heard/read on OB was 100% true was definately a highlight :p
Money is also alot harder to get in the game, but that's okay. I also like the fact that the cops don't just chase you anymore, and you can help them out.
I love weapons like the meat cleaver and chainsaw, It is cool how you can damage vehicles with your fists (I got one to explode)
All said, I love GTA VC, got to buy it now...
Heh, we would all like to believe that, but there was indeed some fake info on Vice city. Like using the sniper rife in helicopters, or even Tommy being able to swim.
But still, the major two factors are in it.
The Motorcycle. :tasty:
The Helicopter. :tasty:
 Yep, can't wait to advance further so i can use them helicopters,
Another cool thing about Vice City is the way you can bail out of vehicles, that is a cool twist, I like pulling a heroic dismount off a motorcycle ging 100 kph, losing half my energy, but, what the hell :p
Does anyone know if you can hijack that blimp hovering around the city? or can you blow it up?
