Knockin' on Heavens Door

I think the runaway star of the movie was definetly the music :D!

To me the movie was like a really long above-par bebop session, but honestly the music was fantastic... Yoko Kanno needs a medal or some statue in her honor. Knock a Little Harder was such a beautiful way to end the movie... good god I'd watch it all the way through once more just to get that weak feeling the song produces...

Uh, oh yeah watch the movie if you already haven't ;)!

I'm really looking forward to this. As I live in England, I'll probably never get to see it.

Yes, that is correct. I hope they didn't give too much away, so that you can actually be surprised when/if you see it in theatres. ;)

dagummit, the closest places it's showing at from where I live are Illinois and New York. basically only have to travel halfway across the country is all *smacks head into brick wall*. meh, I dunno if I can wait any longer. I dunno if I'd be insane enough to spend hundreds of dollars on seeing a movie either though, so I guess I'll have to. ....*grabs handy sheet of titanium*

Washington DC? I'm pretty sure that I've heard that it will be coming to the district, which hopefully means it will be coming to theatres in a 27 mile radius, lol, because that's where I'm planning to watch it. I won't be able to find out until tomamrrow morning, however.

KOHD is alright. I wanted to see the dub, but I can wait for it to end up on KaZaA. It makes no since it comes to no name place in North Carolina, but not Philly. Anyway I can wait till 6/14 to see it.

Well, I just saw the movie in theatres, and I must say, my friend and I were impressed. They kept the story and most lines entact, and they even had the same voice actors from the series. It was a totally different experience watching it on the big screen.

When I first got there, we were staying in line and it was 10 mins until the start of the film. Suddenly, some guy yells out that the Cowboy Bebop movie was sold out. We were so mad that we didn't get there on time, and were about to leave when we found this guy selling two tickets on the street. With five of us (me, my brother, my mom, my friend, his brother) it was agreed that me and my friend would see it because we wanted to see it the most, even though we had already seen the Japanese version of mine many times. Haha, so yeah, it was a challenge to get into the movie in the first place. Not to mention we are 15, but they never stopped us.

I thought the transition to english was done very well, and I believe that it even had some extra pictures. The only voice over I really had a problem with was Vincent, which in my opinion was too similar to Spike's, and should have been deeper.

So, overall, it was a great experience. It's 1:00 am right now, and I just got back, so I'm really tired and some of what I say may sound a bit off. Sorry about that. ^_^

::in state of shock:: You kidding me? I thought Ed's voice fitted fine... In my opinion they Japanese and English voices are pretty close in tone.....

p.s- do i make any sense? is 'fitted' a word?

First of all, it's "fit." Second, please stay on topic. Not anywhere in your post did you mention the Cowboy Bebop movie, and that is what we are discussing. Your statement is much too broad enough to cover the movie, but rather the entire series.

I got to see the movie on Friday at around one o' clock (lucky it was a half day for my school). My mom and I got there twenty minutes late, lol. We called for information on finding the theater, but it turned out the lady we talked to gave us the wrong street! I hope that lady got fired.

Anyhoo, although we got there late, my mom and I really enjoyed to movie. It reall lived up to my expectations and above. I was surprised my mom liked it, since she doesn't have a clue that Cowboy Bebop is a series, but I guess you don't have to see the series to enjoy the movie.

Hey, did anyone catch the daily show on comedy central today...?

Well in the "ad nausseum" part of the show, one of the correspondents was talking about ads.

He walked by billboards in nyc and I noticed that in the background there was a poster for cowboy bebop.

I was amazed... it was cool to see another one of our little known special interest on national television.

I wasnt sure where to put this post, but figured it was probably for the movie... so here it is.

anyone catch it?

I saw the movie last Friday in Irvine. I haven't seen that many episodes of Bebop, it never really interested me for some reason. Then I saw the movie was kind of intrigued, but my stupid friend won't let me borrow the DVD's...

i thought the movie was great, aside fromthe fact that: way too many people there, weirdos yelling at the screen every few seconds, and someone yelling "Sunrise, gods of anime!" all the time. oh and it was REALLY hot.
So besides that fact that it wasnt too comfortable in the theartre the movie was really good. ^_~
