During the Otaku down time?

Just curious. When it closed up for a while, I found myself with alot of extra free time on the net. Im just curious how you all spent it.

I'll let you know what I did after a while. I want to see if anyone is interested first.

Woah, that many people have boards? I only knew of Sirven's and I just now found out. But I was at Kevin's boards and Altron's too! :smirk: But yea, that is about it.

It was horrible, litterally horrible. I had nothing to do at all. I found time to waste by making many, many, many layouts for my website, which I got running until my host restarted their hosting, deleting all of the accounts, and then they put banner ads up causing EVERYONE's pages to screw up, so I'm still searching for a good, non-ftp host.

Also, later, I rediscovered AEBoards, and spent alot of time there, and really enjoyed it, especially the new layout.

But yeah, very glad OB is back.

During the down time, I didn't do a whole lot on the internet. I just went on about my personal business, and began attending class for the fall semester.

On the internet, I re-started a little niche rpg club of mine and wasted my time elsewere. Plus, I honed my writing skills a bit more.

I also finally re-established contact with my mommy via e-mail, lol.

hung around on chat-avenue.com and met a fellow Digimon fan called Smokey the Bear, very glad the boards are back, i'll introduce Smokey sometime.

um, yeah that new logo is interesting, to say the least. :p

Learnt how to make icons.

Well, i joined a Finnish digimon-boards 8probably the only one there is), and introduced myself to finnish digifans. But now i'm back HOME, so I don't think i'll hang around there that often anymore.

On the other hand, my time spend on the net decreased quite a bit, leaving me with a smaller bill, but that doesn't concern me anymore because I can be online on school -for free!

Well, I'm off to see how my digifellas are doing in the digisection! :D

[color=indigo]I spent a lot of time (and still am spending a lot of time) on writing the walkthrough for ShineGet.com. Also, I worked on my Zelda website some more, and nearly got the A Link to the Past section done! I also joined a few other boards, such as D_A's and Sirven's, though I wasn't on them much... Oh, wait, I'm only telling about what I did in the evenings and nights... In the daytime, I was (and still am) playing Super Mario Sunshine (up to 113 Shines!) and Perfect Dark. :) I usually play about two, three hours of games a day, and spend maybe a half hour, 45 minutes writing for the walkthrough a day, on average... Okay, so maybe not quite that long on the walkthrough, but I'm a quick writer for that sort of thing. :toothy:

Oh, yeah, and I started my first year of highschool, too. That might've meant something to me if I hadn't been doing highschool level work for the past year. :p[/color]

i didn't know it was down for a while, i was crashing with a few cousins and when i finally went online i was like ok, whatever, a week isn't bad. well, a week passed. and another. then when the FAQ came on i read it twice. everyday. i worked, got money, and spent it at best buy, my new fave placefor anime. i LOVE excel saga, it's me fave, saw VHD again,etc. i drew more, and i loathed going to school. i saw my friends again. came back from vacation, finally. read my manga library again, though im not done. halfway through "juline". I LOVE JULINE, IT'S SUCH A GOOD MANGA! oh, and the girl that's not bakuya and isn't juline is hot. can't remember her name now... anyway, school started last week, but i was sick yesterday and the day before... that happened last year... anyway, what's up with images? oh, and i can't change myu profile, y not? oh well, it'll work out......

Well I joined D_A's board and created my own. Also talked to James, Siven, and HyperShadow via IMs a bit. I Started writing a book about..... well I'll post it in Stories/poetry some time. That is the wrap for me.

[color=teal]When Otaku was down, I found that I had so much free time on my hands.

Whenever I'd get online, it would just be a checkup. Check my emails, see if OtakuBoards were back, see if WoolongCentral.com was activated yet, skim through AE Boards, do my theOtaku.com work (that's a secret ;)), then get offline and do some homework.

That's basically how I spent my days online. Then I'd get off and play some video games or something. And wow, I got a lot of homework done!

It's really been a nightmare without OtakuBoards. Thank you for the early opening.[/color]

[color=indigo]I did a LOT during the down time. Yeah, I waited a week, and realized it wasn't coming back so I did other things.

I was at Nerdsy's board for a while, then started talking to Kevin and Charles, joined AE, got a mod job there, and towards the end, I joined um..... that Digimon board that Devidramon's on. The one where I started screaming at him, saying I knew him. -_-'

But, most of the time, was spent talking to Kev, Charles, or on AE. I did a LOT of things there.

Got a mod job, and one time, while talking to Kev over AIM, he whacked me with his Administrator's Saber (don't ask) and in retaliation, I smashed a bottle of purple nail polish on his head, thus my location. I also created a weapon from that, WoPP which I used to smash several people on the head with and turn off kuja's unwanted attention of me. *kills kuja*

Shortly before OB went down, while trying to create a private AIM sn, I wanted something with Mistress on it, Lumi helped me some up with some words. I ended up not using them, but some of them were cool, so I kept them on a sheet of paper(which I still have). One night, over AIM, I created the title "Mistress of the Darkness" for myself(darkness was one of those words), but didn't really think much of it, until I used it as my username on the MYiB support forums(which is where I found out about AE). Then, I remembered one of those words, "heart" and had "Mistress of Hearts" as my user name(those boards turned up being totally stupid, but I still had a title I liked). And then, of course, Yu-Gi-Oh cards came into play over the summer, and I liked "Doma the Angel of Silence", so I took the "Angel of Silence" as another title. I haven't been using the titles "Mistress of Hearts" and the "Angel of Silence" until rcently, and I changed "mistress(I couldn't be the mistress of TWO things)" to "tsarina". Thus my introduction to myself in my sig.

I also thought of a wicked awesome story/ fanfic, but I can't tell what it's about. *clamps mouth over Lumi, Charles and an un-named other, and if this un-named other tells who s/he is, I might have to kill him/her*

So, I really did a LOT of things during the down time. Although I was upset that OB was down, I sort of have that to thank for these cool new things, especially the FANFIC! *grins insanely* ^^;[/color]

So instead I wrote up a bunch of new Character profiles, and RPGs!
