If anything Street Fighter came before becuase the dubbed version of Street Fighter came over here 1994. While Mobile Fighter G-Gundam came out in 1994 in Japan. (When I say Street Fighter, I mean the movie) But that is besides the point, Mobile Fighter G-Gundam (while not my favorite anime) is a very good show. Just because you take something in a general perspective and find similarities, doesnt mean that one is copying the other. also, just to back up and support everyone who is a real gundam fan. Personally I agree with you that the plot was pretty weak. I think they should've worked alittle bit more on the plot, however there are [i]SOME[/i] interesting points. Other than the few points....weak plot...very weak.... Character Development...This was ify I mean they could've done a better job on it but I don't think its bad enough to draw to much attention to it. I enjoy the Gundams, and the whole idea of the tournement. This was a great idea, and could've made for a killer plot. Overall though I enjoy it. I actually pick up on more of the emotional side of the show the more I see it. I really do think this is one of the best gundam shows. Maybe not to all the gundam heads that have seen all the different series. But its awesome to a guy like me who has only seen 0080, 0083, wing, the original and maybe some other stuff I'm leaving out. I'm just saying the story is an original one, which gets big points from me since it could avoid the same old story. Plus its got a great emotional story between domon and rain, master, and kioji. Overall, I cant stop giving G praise. Its just a great show. Although I would be foolish if I didnt acknowledge the fact that it is still not perfect. But honestly, I dont ask for perfection. If you go into something looking for perfection, you will always be let down in the end. So instead, Im taking it all in, waiting to see how I feel and then evaluating it. I would say G is in the evaluation stage at this point and its not doing badly at all. Or atleast not nearly as bad as some in the thread have made it out to be. Kent Posted December 4, 2002 Share Posted December 4, 2002 I also wanna say that I think the story line was good. Yea sure its not the god father. But its not totally predictable or a complete waste. I think they made a perfect blend of all the elements of a good anime. story, art, charactor development, and action. I also have to say that they do a good job with the filler eps of the series. Although not as good as the fillers in oh say, cowboy bebop, they were still good enough and far enough apart that you never really wanna miss too many eps. That is only if you've never seen it before. If its another trip through the series for you, you may wanna skip the start of the series, but otherwise, its a great series. I watched teh episode with Chibodee Crocket last night on Midnight Run. The fight was great, too bad it had to end with them working together instead of slaughtering eachother. Personally, if I was Rain I would have beat the hell out of every last one of those girls. :p I wish I could see it from the beggining though, I [b]hate[/b] starting a series in the middle. If someone could PM me a run down of the plot before last nights episode, I would be eternally greatfull. I agree with Spikey on the U.C. point though. First of all i dont think it should matter wheter you watch it subd or dubd. Maybye some people cant get it. r, maybye some people would rather listen to the language they speak than read little words. Anyway....back to the point of this post. I personally think the show is great and is one of the best gundams ive evr seen. then again, ive only seen a few. But i think its got a great story and its fun to watch. plus i like the whole concept of the tournamnt to rule the universe. All in all, the show rules. Though the first five fights after the one against Neo-Italy get very annoying, always befriending the guy who's *** you're supposed to be kicking. 2. Great emotional twists and turns. The whole thing is full of emotional problems between characters, and it's just f*cking great. 3. Rain. Need I say more? :D ;) 4. The God Gundam and the Master Gundam. Again, need I say more? I like it better than other Gundam series, because they don't have to rely on these giant mechs for everything. Don't get me wrong, Gundam fighting is cool, but it's good to see that all the pilots can actually fight outside their mechs. Most mech pilots are probably whimps in actual combat. Has anyone else noticed that in the final episode Wing Gundam makes an appearance durning the space battle with the Colony Dark (Devil) Gundam?
