Hear Hear!I watched that show one morning when MyBest friend was sleeping over.

That show...Sucks more then any other show has sucked before...we both agreed that we should've destroyed the T.V right then and there.

Beyblade is the most disgusting thing i've ever seen.
The charecter seemed to have been made overweight by
a large margin - on purpose. Their battles required no
real skill, it was slapping a blade on the cement and
screaming you lungs out. They had the worst possible names
in association to Japanese in anyway and poorly represented
China in every possible way. The so called "Bit-Beasts"
looked like creatures of the Chinese Calender (wont be supri-
sed if they used a Rooster). Their voices were poor and "Coach"
had a hint of gayness to him due to his over touchiness to Tyson.
All they were trying to do was get Spinning Tops back into fashion.

OH COME ON! Beyblade is fun to watch! It`s my favorite anime cartoon series! I`ve only seen one season but I`m waiting for the second! I know it`s maybe a bit silly, but I even bought a Beyblade after watching it for a period.... Now, before anyone starts attacking me, OK it SUCK on english. I mean the voice for example Kenny.....yuck! But since I live in Norway, I listen to it in Norwegian and I feel that the voices suits the characters.

Those of you that believe that there`s no plot in it or no storyline...GUESS AGAIN! In the start we see Tyson struggling to become a Worldchampion and he has to beat Kai, the former Worldchampion. He does it and he, Kai, Ray and Max forms a team called The Bladebreakers with Tysons pal Kenny, as their "repairman/beyblading genious". As the story progresses, they face many hard battles in the search of becoming better bladers. A bond is made between the guys except maybe for Kai who claim himself as a loner. But after that Kai finds out that his grandfather used him as a tool to find the most powerfull Bit-Beasts in the world, he finally "understand" that he has friends.

There is also a romantic twist in Beyblade. Ray and Mariah, childhood friends and former teammates, struggles to keep their friendship eventhough they are on different teams. Ray is on The Bladebreakers, while Mariah are on The White Tigers. Lee, The White Tigers leader are angry at Ray for leaving their village and his team so he doesn`t approve of him and in the Asian Tournament, they face head to head, not only to win the tournament, but to gain back their friendship.

Beyblading seem to require ALOT of skill (in my opinion). They have to concentrate on their blade, be aware ot the enemy`s attack, defend themselves, learn and use tactics and so on. The Bit_Beasts do look alot like chinese or japanese mythological creatures, but they had to get their inspiratins from somewhere, right?

I don't get it, what's so appealing about watching two spin top htting each other? special effect aside, the idea behind a spintop fight is that you lose control as soon as you spin the top and it's out of your hand. From their the design of the spin top comes into effect and with a heavy does of luck one win over another. the so call 'battle' last for a few second and to base a anime THAT long on this very simple concept and without a decent plotline isnothing more than a marketing gimmilk.

I have nothing against kiddy, or even gimmik show, pokemon was at least tolerable for it's concept of monster dueling as is series like Yugi-oh (erk) which at least REQUIRE a definite amount of time planning for an outcome to build suspence.

The series has so many fault I'll not bother to point out them all, only the most obvious to show you how bad it is.

1 - Key concept is base on a 30 second game
2 - Plot has absolutely no depth
3 - Possible loss of IQ after watching the show for an extended period of time

to be fair, I belive the third point is the case with most serialise anime of this nature, (Yes even your mighty dragonball Z). But I simply can't get into the concept of an Anime base on SPINTOP. Plus the show's plot made it the pit...

now for a well execute absurdity that I find actually enjoyable:

Hikaru no Go, a show based on go, it has just about every single flaw that Beyblade has, but it has one thing that Beyblade lacks to make the catch enjoyable: A decent plot.

Finally, not having a decent plot isn't the end of a series, but it is very detrimental to a show's quality, take pokemon, plot is so cliche you could guess every episode by the title alone, but I still enjoyed it because it was fun...

Beyblade lacks even that, which is why it's utter crap...

Wow. I fail to see why I couldn't have joined any sooner to clarify your title as an utter ***, as well as the rest of you anti-beybladers. Get over it. Nobody cares about your little ordeals over Beyblade. We stick true to an anime we like, or do you have a problem with that?

When you're insulting Beyblade, you're insulting Kai, which is insulting Dranzer, which insults the fact that Kai saved Driger, which insults the ReiKai pairing, which supports the Zeo vs. Kai episode, which really insults me. Damn you, you have really gotten personal. Then again, it would have gotten even more personal if it weren't for my laughing over your grammatical issues. What, did you watch Beyblade for an extended period of time?

All Beyblade fans think DBZ is high and mighty? Get your head out of your ***, and watch a show for at least three DVDs before you judge it.

Hey, you know, the fact that people think this show is retarded is kinda funny XD They have nothing else to do but diss a show? Wow, that's requires less than a life than Beyblade fans ourselves! Good job, I shall reward you all.

With Love,
Ropponmatsu III

Alright, the flaming stops here. If you want to refute Okita's points (and while his tone is not something that should be imitated, it's not nearly as vitriolic as yours), describe your counter-examples calmly and with respect for his opinion. Insulting another member is simply not acceptable; rather than taking Okita's comments about Beyblade so personally, I'd advise you to focus solely on telling us about the show's positive elements. Being snippity won't solve anything.

Thank you for your time. ^_^

Please refrain from using abbreviations and huge numbers of full stops as punctuation, please. One will do, unless it's for some kind of dramatic effect. I was pretty close to deleting this when I first saw it. -Solo

Yeppers, I agree, Beyblade is awesome! It does actually have a good story-line and the guys are so kawaii, especially Kai and Ray! Anyways, who doesn't love Beyblade fanfiction? Ray and Kai make the cutest couple, Tyson and Max are also great together, you gotta love Beyblade yaoi!

Ah beyblade....meh. I started wtaching this in a marathon one day cuz there was nothing else on basically and i found it great load of (insert not nice word here) The story lines are extremely ridiculous. It's beyond me how winning a tournament for spinning tops can help you with world domination....

I do watch it sometimes, but that's only because kai is such a hottie! lol. I think it's funny but only because it's so stupid. And I suppose the cheesy lines and crappy storylines are what make it good, if you're watching it but not taking it seriously.

In conclusion I think Beyblade can be good for a laugh but definitely not to be taken seriously. I like reading Beyblade fanfiction though....especially ones centering on Ray and Kai. Very jimmy indeedily. :wigout:
