If you could change GTA3

Heh, as do I, Piro. But I completely own you all when it comes to destruction. Over a million kills in under ten minutes using the Tank. Do you know how hard that is with those crap-*** controls? The turrent helped though. Turned that ***** around and kept on shootin'.

Oi oi, watch the language Neil - Break

As far as inovation for VC's airborne assults, it'd be sweet to set a helicopter on hover and open up the side panel and fire out the thing, all military style.

And I wanna jack a 747 and crash it into the water. Why? To make a huge tidal wave to wash out part of the city! ^-^;;; Another thing they need the add in VC is a wider variety of character voices/diolauge. I get tired while walking up Saint Mark's and hearing every old woman say "I hate his freaking mother!".

As far as what I would change GTA3, I have several ideas. Interactive FMVs (via FFVIII). Another is the ability to, as before mentioned, go into buildings.

And Piro, that idea about buildings breaking and all? Gold...pure gold. :p

But a million kills in less than ten minutes??! DO the people even regenerate that fast?!?! I'd have to see it to believe it. o.O I always liked driving around in the tank and blowing things up cause the cops can't really stop you, lol. I'd just turn the turret backwards, and drive forward while firing to boost my speed. If I got into a densely populated area, then I would move aruond while blowing things up.. or merely run them over.. Sooo much fun...

Ahh yes...going on a mindless rampage in GTAIII is so much fun.

Sometimes I'd just play the game and explore. I'd try to find new places...or I'd try to find packages...or I'd just try to last as long as I can with a six star rating.

It's the kind of game where you can really set your own challenges. And that makes it a lot of fun...you can really set your own limits.

If I could add something else to GTAIII, I'd add three dimensional grass.

I know it sounds simple...but I've seen it in some other games recently and I think it has potential.

I mean, think about it. Mostly, if you start shooting and you shoot for long enough (even with just a sniper rifle), your wanted level immediately rises and the cops seem to know where you are.

It's not very realistic.

It would be great if you could lay in the grass somewhere...or hell, even in the branch of a tree. And from there, pick off targets without being seen.

Of course, if you kept shooting you'd be seen...so it's not perfect of course. But still, I like the idea of having at least some areas where you have a bit more freedom from the cops. That stealth aspect would be a great addition I think.

Yeah, I agree there. Usually snipers are hidden and when you shoot someone who is really far away from you, you'd think that the police wouldn't notice.

It seems as your criminal record goes up (from pickpocket, to bully, etc.) the police are on your tail for the slightest thing. It could be something as small as punching someone, or even firing a gun, not at anyone. It gets real hard when your criminal record is up high.

I think they should add more sniper points in Vice City I mean, yeah rooftops are always good, but (as James has said) in trees or laying in long grass, just to add more realism.

Flying the car was pretty fun. Its how I got the Shoreside vale for the first time. I flew right over the gap. It was cool because nothing was loaded up so I drove around for a while with no car or anything on the street.
I also flew over the gap in the bridge with my car, only everything loaded up, and when i got to Shoreside Vale, it came up with the welcome screen.

Every car was there O.o

NeoCactuar, yeah I can put in 'more effort'. Why do you care?

We care, because if you have really poor post quality, you'll get banned. And also, stop double posting! Use the "Edit" button, it's just as easy as making a new post. - Desbreko

I like the idea of Building collapsing, but you would completely destroy you city and have nothing left except rubble! o.O ;;; maybe, building get damaged and builders set up scaffolding and start to fix it! That could cause plenty of fun, like placing bombs on parts of the scaffolding! ^_^ ;;;

O_o... um... 4 people in one post? That's almost confusing..

Perhaps it'd be good to use a similar feature to red faction-- have walls that actually crumble realistically (I think-- I've never actually seen a wall crumble from a rocket so I can't vouch for it's authenticity :p)...

Yeah. Don't you think blowing up a walkway over water or over a busy road would be great?! Watching people hang to the sides, or drop into the paths of a racing van, or watch them helplessy drown! That would be amazing funny.
I also think in certain areas, cars shouldn't stop for you if you stand in the middle of the road! On a busy motorway for example, should the cars just stop and wait to be jacked? Or should they plough you down, or swerve around you, causing another major crash!
Y'know, I should work for Rockstar Games...we all should...so many ideas!

It was funny, because in GTA 1 i heard that you just had to stand in the middle of the road and the cars would stop, I thought it was like that scene in the Truman show, but the first time Iever played it, one guy ran me down!

I think it's a good idea, if you're going on a motorway you can hardly stop for a lunatic in the middle of the road!

I don't have any sources inside Rockstar North or anything, but I can almost guarantee everyone that the next Grand Theft Auto game will hype improved artificial intelligence.

In both Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City, there are some obvious issues. Today, for instance, I invaded a drug lord's mansion and began picking his men down. At that point, it became obvious how poor the AI really is. For example, two men were talking, and I literally blew his companion's head off with a sniper rifle, and he didn't seem to care. He just stood there, clueless.

Worse yet, I applied even sloppier tactics by firing an automatic. Despite the loud crackle of gunfire, nearby guards did absolutely nothing. They just don't seem to notice you unless you're directly in front of them.

The cops, as mentioned earlier, are a little strange as well. Apparently, there are no traffic laws in Vice City or Liberty City, because I'm able to run traffic lights directly in front of cops, without being chased or anything. In Vice City, you can actually crash into an officer's vehicle without getting so much as a single star up.

Hopefully, we'll see these problems addressed in the future.

Hmm that seems to be quite a problem, I read a magazine recently, but I can remember the name but I only gave Vice City a rating of 70% so what your saying could be right CWB

Well the thing that I find left out, is the ability to blow parts or all of buildings up. I mean, you can practically blow up or damage everything on the street, but can't do one thing to the buildings in it.

If this was included in the game, I'd be playing it right now.
