He-Man

I was really surprised when I saw the new version of He-Man on CN a couple weeks ago. I didn't even know it existed.

It still retains some of it's corny qualities... There are still just plain stupid character names such as Man at Arms and some just seem to have the most useless powers. It also doesn't help that the voice of Leonardo (Cam Clark I think is the name) is doing young He-Man's voice.

I liked some of the enemy designs though... They seem to be going in a darker direction. One girl in particular was pretty cool, but I can't really remember her. She seemed to be in charge though.

Girl in charge? You must be talking about Evil-Lyn (or Evelyn).

Anyway, I like how Adam looks nothing like He-Man. The only thing that frustrated me more than Superman's entire Clark Kent disguise consisting of nothing but glasses, was how the only difference between Adam and He-Man was a tan. A tan. Thankfully, this new show made Adam half He-Man's size, so they look nothing like eachother.

Now all these young'ins can see some of the ol' skool cartoons I used to watch back in my day... the 80s.

Dude its a freaking cartoon! :D

Heroes like Superman work as ideas, not as reality. They are symbols, not real people. Glasses will do fine. :)

The whole Superman/Clark Kent thing is stupid. The way its supposed to work is he acts like a total geek and no one would ever suspect that a weakling could be Superman. Yeah Right.

I like the new He-Man. It still a bit "80's" corny but its interesting. The only thing I don't like is Skeletor's voice. It is annoying for such a cool villain. The animation is cool, although I 've never been a fan of bulky, male heroes.

They gave Skeletor this standard mad scientist, crazy high-pitched voice... It just doesn't fit. It's like they wanted to make him cool, but stopped. The fact that they kept his face in the shadows so much made me expect something better... Like he would be a menacing character. He somewhat looks one now, but his voice destroys all of it.

I can't remember what he sounded like in the old ones though lol.

She-Woman?! I think you're talking about He-Man's long lost twin sister She-Ra, Princess of Power.

I thought Skeletor sounded like that in the original. I think his voice was always kinda high-pitched.

And the show just wouldn't be He-Man if it wasn't still just a little corny.

There, I'm done defending this show based off of a handful of episodes.

I sort of agree. TF: Armada isn't all that great. He-Man isn't either but its not unbearable. It may be corny but I like it so far. I just wonder how they are going to do the episodes. I'm so used to seeing different villains every storyline that I can't concieve of ideas as to how the show will work (darn anime and its show length stories).

The only good Transformers is the original series and the movie. . that is where I draw the line. Beast Wars was bearable, but any of this new stuff. . ughh, how I hated it. When Beast Wars(don't remember what that was called) went back to cybertron, it lost it big time with me.

As for He-Man, I am still unclear on if I like this series or not. It is a lame series for the fact that each episode is so predictable. The animation humors me though, since everyone fights like they are martial arts masters, with all the blade twirling/tossing, the jumping, the battle stances, and some of the fight scenes are like. . this isn't He-Man! The voice of Adam/He-Man is . . ughh. . annoying!

I will probably keep watching the show as long as it keeps coming on ^_^ Cause, that's what I do. . hahaha.
