Ben Holiday
Is there any plans for a game on the Game Cube?
Fall
I'm not too sure. If there is, I won't be getting it anyway. Pokemon has died out, any attempt to release a game on it on the GCN will just be trying to avoid the inevitable.
Juu
*shudders* Well now.. I'd have pokemon rather than yu-gi-oh. I don't think there are any plans for pokemon on gamecube... Yet.. if there was.. it'd be pretty kewl.. ^^' even if it has died off... the pokemon are still kawaii!! ..that is... except most of the new ones... >.<
Dragon Fou Lu
when i first saw an AD about the gamecube i saw pictures of some of the games that were coming out for it , and one of them was a picture of a Meowth playing a Guitar. Kei
It would be nice to see what Nintendo would do if they did put out a Pokémon game for the GameCube, namely Pokémon Stadium 3, but like SS said, they'd only be delaying the inevitable, even though Pikachu was just placed into the Top 50 Characters of All Time. (No. 12, if I remember correctly)
Desbreko
I'm pretty sure Nintendo is making a GCN Pokémon game, but we don't know what yet. Pichu Bros. Party Panic got canceled, so that's out, but I think I heard that they're going to release something Pokémon on the GCN sometime next year. If it is just another Pokémon Stadium game, I'm definitely not going to get it. I don't even know if I'm going to get Ruby or Sapphire when they come out on the GBA, actually. Like I've said before, they've gotta come up with a good new story for me to get it, because going through and battling for badges has gotten kind of old. They've gotta add something else into the mix, or else I don't see Ruby and Sapphire being much more than G/S/C with more Pokémon.
Sylph
Personally, I feel the best way to capture the series in a video game would be to push it in the direction of online gaming. While it wouldn't increase popularity of the series, it certainly would make for an incredible game.
Desbreko
Yeah, I've thought that an online Pokémon game would be really fun, if they did it right. Do the world in full 3D, and have it so you can go just anywhere, not just specific towns and routes. Make a full world, so that you can go anywhere in Kanto/Johto, or wherever it's set in. Do the battles like in the Stadium games, and keep a win/loss record for everyone one in the game, that can be viewed at Pokémon Centers, so you can actually know who the best trainer is.
Ben Holiday
Mmm... online would be sweet it would definitely keep people playing and bring interest back to the series. Especially knowing who's out there you'd have so many other people to battle against that it wouldn't get boring.

Frankie
they need to make a pokemon game where you can chose if your bad or good.......... and if its online ... then make it so we can really really use it good graphics and stuff. I mean if i had a choise between good and bad i would chose bad... *evil is good.....good is bad* and come on those trainers they need a design your oun char... i mean..boy girl choises shorts skirts pants and such.....JUST FOR FUN THROW IN A KILT... and different styles of clotheing..... what i am trying to say is....... why dont they make it like some of the better rp games like... a few... i cant really name it i cant remember it.......BUT there are good games with the ability for you to schose what your charecter is.........and for a game.....pokemon: they should make it instead of just hitting a button to make it attack why not go into a manual mode.....you play the pokemon in an area and battle dodgeing blocking hitting special attacks and suck i will shut up now
Desbreko
Cool idea that I've had since seeing Pokémon Stadium: Why not make a game (in 3D, of course) where, instead of having the battles turn based, you actually have an arena (like, an area so big, for battling), and then you give your Pokémon commands and it responds. It would be like it the cartoon, where you're the trainer, and you could tell it when and what attack to use, to dodge, and other stuff, and the two Pokémon would actually move around in the arena and fight. Maybe they could even have a microphone accessory so you could actually say the commands, if they could get the voice recognition good enough. I wouldn't want it for an online game, though. Either that, or have it so both trainers have to agree on which fight style to battle with. That would be really cool, I think.

Of course, we'll probably never see it happen, but it's nice to think about. What I want to see is if Nintendo makes a game over in Japan for that new VR accessory they made for the GCN.
Raichu Tamer
They could make a game of pokemon 3d so it would look like Final Fantasy
Kevin
I think pokemon on game cube would be cool. Have stadium 3 where they actually attack each other, if you like tackle a pikachu with your onix it could accidently move you to a different location where different pokemon can get the advantage and neato stuff like that. Desbreko
No, it wasn't a preview for Animal Crossing (AC hadn't even been show yet, other than the version that was being worked on for the N64, which was only released in Japan), he was talking about the little demo video that Nintendo showed at E3 one year, when the GCN was first being shown off. It had a little video Meowth playing a guitar up on a stage, which was based off of a little thing that played after the Pokémon cartoons in Japan called Meowth's Party. The game got scrapped pretty quicky, though.
