The skyline glittered underneath the moon's watchful gaze in such a way, that it became indistinguishable from the starlight Heavens. Stray cats and dogs scattered like thieves in the night, tipping over garbage containers with reckless abandon. All was quiet save for the clattering of aluminum lids and orphan trash cans in chorus with a lone Jumpship, whooshing through the skies.

"God damnit Daniel," Joanna Dark hissed in between chattering teeth. Bitter cold air filled her lungs. Pain swept through her exhausted body.

Carrington gazed sympathetically at his most talented agent. Her chest heaved up and down violently as she leaned against a nearby wall. Her face was indistinguishable, hidden behind a veil of darkness, but he imagined that it was contorted with agony. Even perfection came with fatigue.

"I know Joanna," he replied attempting to interject warmth and sincerity in his voice, "today hasn't been the easiest day. You have but one more task to complete and it's finished."

Would it be finished? Carrington cussed underneath his breath as the words escaped his mouth. He knew that his attempt at comforting her was preposterous--a flat out lie. Joanna was no fool. She could sense his false sincerity.

[B][I]Tick tock, tick tock[/I][/B]

Carrington sat in a black leather chair that seemed to blend into the background that shadowed him, the darkness surrounding him seeming to cling like the silken caress of a lover to his ever mysterious presence. It defined him. His fingers steepled as if in deep contemplation over some matter; he knew that Joanna's mind was now far off. It bothered him so, where it might be. For, he knew as well as she did that in order to further contain imminent danger, she would have to get inside the mind of an individual just as evil, if not more so, than the dreaded fugitives.

[B]Approximately thirty minutes later[/B]
[size=1][color=green]Location: Undisclosed stronghold deep within the bowls of the Mushroom Kingdom.[/color][/size]

The bare walls were plastered with greed. Evil deeds hung in the air like a foul odor, curling about like a jungle beast, rubbing against Joanna, and finally settling at her feet. Wrinkling her nose, Joanna "Perfect" Dark, pressed on diligently. There goes gravity. There goes fatigue--human limitations. Joanna's legs told her to stop, but she dragged them along stubbornly--selfishly perhaps. It was the desire to be the best--[I]at any cost.[/I]

Joanna reluctantly deposited all of her metal belongings in a small tray. Silently, she studied the handler of the tray. His face was drawn. [I]It spoke.[/I] Restless nights, fear, struggling to raise a family--the components were all there.

[I]Are you okay?[/I]

Yes, his face spoke more words than he ever could. He lived nervous, but he did his service. She sent them there and he watched them.

[I]Hello? Ma'am?[/I]

Joanna wondered who people in his field hated more: The prisoners or the people who sent them there. She jumped. He quickly withdrew his hand from her shoulder.

"Long day," she muttered, pressing forward once again.

[B][I]Tick tock, tick tock[/I][/B]

Palms sweaty, arms heavy, Joanna caressed a small window before her, forcing a ball in her throat downwards. It crashed in the pit of her stomach, sending a rippling affect throughout her body. She wasn't scared--Perfect Dark didn't know fear. Joanna was sick.

Behind a brown, leather mask, Bowser's lips curled back into a definitive demonic smile as his reptilian eyes stared their hypnotic gaze at the young woman. Bound to a standing platform, by chains and belts, slowly, and quite deliberately though it did not look as such, his right claw gently touched upon an engraving on his platform. It stood out amongst the dimly lit room--a gold sun; the emblem of the Mushroom Kingdom.

"The poor excuse for a mineral," Bowser began, "was discovered by human kind. People the world over have lusted for this metal, for two reasons? one, is that it?s shiny? another is that it is rare. These two aspects make the entire concept of gold having any worth whatsoever kind of silly to think of it? but that does not stop men and women alike from doing some very horrible things to acquire gold? and some even more horrific things to keep it. Pull up your chairs Joanna? it is time for Uncle Bowser to tell a story??

"I came here to make you an offer," Joana began, but Bowser continued, seemingly ignoring her.

[B][I]Tick tock, tick tock[/I][/B]

Bower's form is plunged into darkness as the scene of gold behind him changes, now moving like a slide projection to an old medieval wood carving that depicts what appears to be a duke standing over a large amount of gold coins and overlooking his land.

Perfect Dark rubbed her eyes. [I]Was she seeing things?[/I]

On that land agony faced serfs toil under their harsh master, their backs exaggeratingly bent to the point that they seem to break from their labor. To the right of the duke were some of his courtesans, some almost looking as if they are praying to the duke upon the mountain of gold? others seeming to simply mull about as if having nothing better to do.

Bower's voice seemed to carry Joanna away in his words and bring life to the picture displayed behind his shadowed figure.

"This is Duke Ivano Belsa of the Italian province that is now modern day Cume mi? Yur," he spoke slowly, with warmth. "Duke Ivano? oh he loved gold very much? one could say he was born to possess as much of the metal as he possibly could.

As a child the young Duke insisted that all his toys be made of the shiny metal? and his rather peaceful, loving, and good-natured parents were only too happy to oblige. As the Duke grew, so did his love for gold? so much so that he realized should his parents die that he would inherit the Dukedom and the gold in the tiny kingdom?s coffers. So the Duke slew his parents, murdering them as they pleaded for their lives? except he could not do the deed himself? oh no?

You see the young Ivano made a deal with the French at the time, ceding them a few measly acres of land and promises of stronger ties in trade, in exchange for taking care of his loving mother and father. He would have been kinder to stab them himself, for the French took great delight in torturing them for a year on end before finally burning them at the stake and dumping their bodies in unmarked? and unconsecrated, they were god fearing folk after all? ground. Now? one would think the story ends there? but wait? it only gets better.

[B][I]Tick tock, tick tock[/I][/B]

You see? instead of being the righteous, enlightened ruler his father was? Duke Ivano treated the people of his land like beasts of burden. He raised taxes to levels that even had the most cruel ruler cringing? making it so that his peoples did not even have enough to feed themselves? even the richer merchant class. He worked them day and night in the mountain mines? neglecting the fields to feed his people? to have them mine the precious metals he used to trade for gold? and more gold? and even more gold.

Some of his gold he gave away, yes? to mercenaries hired to work his populace even harder. He effectively made his small country both the richest? and poorest? nation in all of Europe. Now, Duke Ivano ran his small kingdom like this for quite some time? acquiring gold of the deaths of his people. When the population dipped? as many people died quickly in his kingdom? he sent his armies out and captured slaves to maintain his desire for the glimmering metal. But soon our Duke became quite paranoid? as one with a large amount of gold do tend to become if they are not careful? and started to kill many of the people who desperately tried to keep his kingdom in working order.

And when I say kill I mean eventually? the Duke took insane delight in torture? and was quite creative at the art. An example was to take a supposed thief who had tried to steal some of his gold and dip them in molten gold, turning them into golden statues that lined his hallway. Except he did this while they were still alive? their screams and spasm?s of pain locked forever in a golden pose. Not a good way to die? or so I have been told.

Eventually the Duke pushed too far? stopped sending his paltry payments to the Church in Rome. The legend goes the papal knights sent to dispatch the Duke found him sitting in a room of pure gold, eating from a table of pure gold with golden bowls and cups and what not? dead? why you ask? Because the meal he was having? was gold dust."

Intoxicated in the story, almost forgetting the true purpose for the meeting, Joanna found herself awaiting the conclusion.

"The duke was quite crazy," Bowser continued, failing to disappoint, "probably from poisoning by the very mineral he loved so much. But like the duke I have always protected what is mine--by [I]taking[/I] it. And...it has been my poison. I have no reason to help you. Goodbye Miss. Dark."

"Tell me Bowser," Joanna insisted, rubbing her chin, "how do you know so much about Earthen culture? Why should you care about old myths and legend?"

Grinning evilishly, bearing his fangs, like great ivory tusks, Bowser replied simply, "It's a hobby. Nothing more. After all, I once tried to conquer Earth--'looked like a nice summer home."

Joanna saw her opportunity. "If you'll help me find out exactly which villains have escaped and assist me in capturing them, I'll provide you with writing and reading materials."

"And pictures of Princess Peach," the king of the koopa's demanded resoundlingly.

Joanna's answer was simply :"No way."

Turning on her heels, she briskly began to exit the room. Bowser's voice stopped her abruptly.

"Good work Perfect Dark," his raspy voice called out, "Bravo, on single handedly eliminating the DOOM infestation earlier. You really are a work-aholic aren't you my dear? I feel flattered that you have enough time to fit me into your schedule. Leave me with the files and give me an hour to look them over."

[Domon]

[i] As the party continued onwards Tidus had an eerie feeling about this place, he wondered if Seperioth would attack him like he did to Cloud or if he would be a human this time. He could see the hospital now looming in the distance. The party had encountered more Zombies, zombie dogs,and lickers.[/i]

Tidus: This is getting pretty creepy. I do not like this at all.

Yuna: I can feel the dead's agony and sorrow.

Lulu: I know, this is just really getting to me, i feel like we are being watched.

[i] As the party continued a shadowy figure was following them quickly and quietly but it was continually getting closer.[/i]

[Zidargh]

*Walking through the corridor with Chris limping behind as Earl supports him, the froup of now seven make a halt and notice Chris murmuring something*

*Rick and Megaman bent down and stared into Chris's eyes, the pupils were distilling and metamorphing into a murky-white color*

[COLOR=sienna]Pac Man: Ah god, we've gotta get some help. Well at least find an antidote to slow the virus.[/COLOR]

*Returning to sanity, Chris's grip on his wound got tighter*

[COLOR=seagreen]Chris: Please, I'm endangering you here, leave me.[/COLOR]
[COLOR=orange]TJ and Earl: No way man! We've gotta get through this together.[/COLOR]


*Megaman and Rick kneeled down and placed a cloth full of objects that appeared to be weapons of some sort. Tossing them to every member except them selves, they contained shot guns, 9mm Pistols, one Assault Rifle, and 4 emergency knives. Followed by ammo of all sorts for the guns, clicking and reloading began*

* Several squelches began, followed by a rapid pace, the flickering hall way lights did not provide any visibility, but they knew what they were. *

[COLOR=orange]TJ: OK here's the plan. We all have agility, but the main objective is to keep Chris from any harm. Megaman can take the wing of Chris, Earl and me will take both sides, Rick will keep Dot and Pac Man on his shoulders while as close combat begins they can launch themselves with the knives onto the zombies. You got me!?[/COLOR]

* With that they assembled for the onslaught of the terror. Their first real battle begins*

Tifa brushed her self off, and walked after Cloud.

"what are you doing around here? I thought you-"

"Nah, just came to get another materia." Cloud interrupted, still walking. "Which reminds me. What are you still doing here? I thought you were heading over to midgar..."

"That's exactly where I was going... until a certain person decided to bump into me..." Tifa mumbled, a tight smirk on her lips.

The two laughed, Tifa smiling softly afterwards.

Cloud hung his head. A few seconds later, he smiled, swinging his arm on his shoulder.

"welp, gotta go... See ya around.." He said, grinning.

"ey cloud, why don't you come with me to midgar? Just like old times." She suggested, a familiar, optimistic smile brightening her face.

Just then, he turned around with an enthusiastic grin on his face.

"Sounds great! C'mon!!!" He said grabbing Tifa.

Just then, Cloud hesistated.

Tifa stopped too, she looked at him, panting.

"What's wrong?"

Cloud kept staring at a small banner, as if he was mesmorised by it...

Tifa turned to the picture too, and saw a picture of a church... the church Aeries attended...[/color] [/size] [/B][/QUOTE]

[i]Tifa shifted her weight un-comfortably.[/i]

[i]Cloud sighed as he looked at the poster. Memories flooded his mind as though a dam holding them had just shattered. He grimaced slightly thinkin about it. He then shook his head. "Who cares," he muttered softly too himself.[/i]

"So we going to Midgar or not?!"

[i]Cloud forced a smile and began walking towards Midgar.[/i]

[i]Tifa stood looking at the post a second longer then looked up at Cloud and sighed.[/i]

Tifa: "Hey wait for me!"

[i]Tifa ran and caught up to him. As she caught stride with him she grabbed Clouds hand. Smilling she continued walking.[/i]

[i]CLoud looked down at his hand slowly only moving his eyes then looked back up, continue to walk.[/i]

Sonic and Knuckles sprinted fot the wooden entrance. As always Sonic arrived first , but only by a few second, the distance was not great.

[b][color=blue]Sonic:[/b] Damnit! We?re too late![/color]

Sonic kicked the ground causing a clump of dust to rise into the air, ultimately making Knuckles cough.

[b]Knuckles:[/b] Well, we could find another way in but I?m sure that wouldn?t make us too popular with the locals.

[b][color=blue]Sonic:[/b] Hehe. You?re probably right, lets find somewhere to rest until dawn.[/color]

[b]Knuckles:[/b] I seem to remember there being a ranch just opposite the castle (he turns), yeah, there it is.

[b][color=blue]Sonic:[/b] Ok, we?ll make friends with the animals and sleep in their pens, hehehe.[/color]

They laughed as they walked towards the ranch, easily visible in the moonlight. As they arrived at their destination, Knuckles realized that the only way in was through a window, into the cow pens.

[b]Knuckles:[/b] Looks as though you weren?t so wrong after all, about sleeping with the animals I mean.

[b][color=blue]Sonic:[/b]Ah Crap! I hate it when I?m right.[/color]

They chuckled quietly to themselves as they helped each other squeeze through the window. Once inside the two looked slowly from side to side analyzing the pens. There were two levels, the one on which they stood, and a second floor above. On the far right of the stable like enclosure there were stairs leading upwards to the second level. Hay was strewn around the entire stable, and a few stacks lay under the stairs. A few cows were sleeping on the opposite side to where the staircase was, huddled around what seemed like a new born calf. Wood pillars supported the roof in which was a huge skylight. There was a hole in the second floor which was directly below this skylight, allowing everything to be lit up by the light of the moon.

[b]Knuckles (whispered):[/b] Lets head up stairs.

Sonic nodded silently and they both crept their way to the staircase. Sonic pressed his toes on the first step to be greeted with a loud creak. He bit his lip and squinted thinking his blunder may have given them away. Knuckles rolled his eyes but knew it was an accident. Sonic then skipped the first step and extended his leg to the second, then began to climb the stairs at a snails pace. Quite uncharacteristic of Sonic, but a necessary counter measure all the same. Every stair made a creak, but none so loud as that of the first. Reaching the second level Sonic turned to Knuckles .

[b][color=blue]Sonic:[/b] Do you think we woke anyone up?[/color]

[b]Knuckles:[/b] Nah, they?re all probably still sound asleep.

Sonic nodded again and looked around. The second floor was mostly packed solid with hay bails. The whole in the floor below the skylight was bordered by wooden guard rails. Knuckles moved slowly around the room looking around as if searching for something.

Sonic spun around to see what Knuckles had found. Knuckles was crouched in a corner picking something up.

[b][color=blue]Sonic:[/b] What is it?[/color]

Knuckles stood up and backed towards Sonic?s position looking attentively upon two bottles he held in each hand.

[b]Knuckles:[/b] Lon-Lon milk, I haven?t had anything to drink since Mrs. Ketchum?s house.

[b][color=blue]Sonic:[/b] I can?t remember the last time I drank anything.[/color]

Knuckles handed Sonic a bottle and pulled the stopper out of his own. Sonic did the same after a few seconds, pondering whether he was really desperate enough to drink a random liquid he had never seen, let alone drunk before.

[b]Knuckles:[/b] Bottoms up.

Knuckles smiled and then downed the whole bottle in 3 or 4 gulps. Sonic waited until Knuckles was around half way through his before starting on his own. Just as the two finished, they began too look very closely at each other as their wounds healed.

[b]Knuckles:[/b] Oh yeah! I have heard rumors of the healing powers of Lon-Lon milk, but I had never believed them.

[b][color=blue]Sonic:[/b] Wow! We should take some with us when we leave.[/color]

[b]Knuckles:[/b] Yeah, but not too much, stealing is still an imprisonable offence in Hyrule?C?mon, lets sleep here for tonight, and tomorrow we will rest within the walls of Hyrule Castle. They are bound to have some taverns or something in the market place.

The blue hedgehog and red echidna huddles up among the hay bails and lay silent, due to the fact that they were exhausted from all the walking they had done. Their eyes closed slowly and they began to dream?

[I]Dante wanders the streets of the Zombie and ?thing? infested Racoon City, he is still confused in how this all happened. Went he heard a large uproar of voices, he sharply pirked his ears to sense were the voices were coming from. He climbed up roof tops and leaped from wall to wall, till finally he saw a big group of people, but they weren?t suspects as he thought, they looked to be and could be allies of Dante, or mabey even victims of the ?things.? He slyly crept ontop of a roof, it may have been the Police Office, as there was a burnt out Police car at the bottom to his left. He saw the large group around in a circle arguing, one of whom was holding there body, clearly in pain.[/I]

Pain Filled Person: Common! I don?t have time to argue, I?ve been bit, remember!?!?! Ah! The T Virus will kick in soon, we must hurry to find the antidote, if one. *mumbles* Damn Umbrella B*stards.

[I]Dante thinks, hmmm Umbrella, weren?t they the ones responsible for the huge Zombie unleashed thing years ago, and the S.T.A.R.S team had to sort them out? Hmmm. Interesting. As the man tried to walk away Dante, quietly sneaks down close to them to hear more discussion. Dante decides not to but in,and just follow them, to find out more about them. When he is about to retreat to the darkness, he turns to find a ?tongue? as Dante likes to call them, behind him. As the ?tongue? lunges for him he ducks rolling on his back, flicking the ?tongue? with his feet into the dim light of a street lamp, very close to the group. They all turn round in horror and shout:[/I]

Group: Licker!!!!

[I]As it stands up and walks towards Dante, who is in the darkness and cannot be seen from the groups point of view. They soon see a notorious blade plunging through the back of the Licker and the sword then sparks with electricity. It is withdrew and blood squirts all around the pavement and road, the group see a dark, tall figure disappear into the darkness and scuttle up onto a roof top.[/I]

Peach: Ok thats it! No more being wussy! Its time for action... Question is, what shoud i do?.

[i]Peach reached down and straightened out her knee-high skirt (No not a dress, a skirt.) As she got up from the bench she saw a camera flash, from a nearby bush, then mere seconds later she saw about 5 toad reporters leap out and start to run up to her on their stubby legs.[/i]

Peach: Oh no, not this again!

[i]She turned and ran down the path, the toads strangely gaining with their stubby legs. As they neared the docks she saw a huge ship about to leave, without hesitation she ran up to a crewmember and asked for admittance.[/i]

kid: Sure! Get in. Were heading to Onett in case your interested. Though by the looks of those lil guys that are tearing up here to catch you I dont think youre that worried.

[i]The port door slammed shut as the toads reached the end of the dock.[/i]

Dear Diary,
Today I woke up late and toke a nap, then I missed my two favorite shows (Sports Talk, and Cat Chat). Can you believe that diary, both of them, I mean one would bad enough, but nooooooooooooo I had to miss two. While I slept I had this wacked out dream about these guys who imprisoned some psychos in a soft walled room. The pyro named Bill had a large flame-thrower, how he would get a flame-thrower into a locked, and monitored cell is beyond me.
Anyways, after I woke up I found lester attached to my leg, as I've told you, I don't think this is really because he's hungry (yes I know Rockee told me that). In other words I think that Rockee (my pet rock) is lying to me, though I can't imagine why. All it would benefit him is that I then leave the house, wait, I thought Rockee liked me[b].[\b]

*sob.......................sob.....................sob................... .............. .......... ............... ...................... ................................... ................................and a bit more sobing*

In a complete burst of uncontrolable rage:

From the other room:

*Rockee rolls into the room and hops up onto the table*

*He gets up and heads to the door, but just before he exits he says aloud: Oh yea, I almost forgot, Cat Chat re-runs are on in an hour, better hurry. He then leaves.*

He starts searching for rats which are wet and mangy, that he hates.........................a lot. Just then he notices a familiar shadow upon a large boulder off in the distance. Seth decides to check it out; there hasn't been another human in these parts for a long ol' time. The rock is still a 5 minute walk off, so he decides to sing a song.

OOOOOHHHHHHH everybody's got a water buffalo. Yours is fast but mine is slow. Oh where do we get them I don't know. But everybody's got a water buffaloooooooooooooouooooooooooooooooooouooooooooooooooooooouo!

[The Vampire: Ed]

As the Lickers leapt through the air at the shrieking Megan, Sephiroth dash in front of them immediately swinging the Masamune. A couple lickers were sliced in half, and died instantly however the remaining six now knew of Sephiroth's position. As the two lickers closest to Sephiroth attack, the two in the back suddenly turned hearing the click of Jim's gun as he began to fire bullets into their flesh. Sephiroth impales a licker's flicking tongue against the wall as it swats at him, just as he tries to pull the Masamune free the other licker pounces him. Sephiroth using his weight to throw the licker over his head, and quickly returns to his feet swiftly kicking the licker in the face.

Jim on the other side of the room fires a bullet hitting one of his licker's exposed brain, it dies writhing in agony as the other leaps at Jim. Rolling to the side, Jim dodges the attack causing the licker to hit the wall. Turning as he fires his gun, three bullets hit the licker in the chest, small spurts of blood fly through the air as it falls on it's back flailing about. Jim turns watching Sephiroth's battling with the other licker, as the other remains with it's tongue pinned against the wall via the Masamune.

The licker jumps, avoiding it Sephiroth jumps up as the licker hits the floor under him, as he comes down Sephiroth stomps the lickers head with both feet. It's head pops like a grape under pressure. As Sephiroth finishes his final licker, he turns back looking to Jim then toward Megan as does Jim. Both look surprised however, as they witness Megan beating the trapped licker with one of the waiting room chairs.

The licker cries out in pain as she slams the chair against it's head repeatedly, while yelling angrily at it. 'You stupid...' she screams hitting it, then as she raises the chair again she yells again 'Icky thing!' Megan this time just throws the chair at the dazed licker, and it's screeches. Breathing heavily, she falls down into a siting position as the licker stumbles trying to get up.

Suddenly, the licker bites through it's own tongue and turns towards the sound of Megan's heavy breathing. Megan screams again as she watches the licker crawling at her with it's own blood flowing from it's mouth. Just as it's about to strike the Masamune impales it through the back out of no where, it's severed tongue still on the blade. Megan kicks the licker in the head as she leans back on her hands, finally the crimson creature lays dead. Sephiroth pulls the Masamune free, and sheaths it once more looking down at the deceased licker. Jim, and Sephiroth both then look at Megan as she's smiling. 'We really kicked their asses didn't we?' Megan said with a confident grin on her face.

'Yeah, we sure did.' Jim replied laughing, then spoke again 'Hey, what happened to the cowering girl who kept saying we were going die?' Megan punches Jim in the arm, and speaks while holder her fist up to his face 'Hey, don't make me beat you like that thing.'

'Heh, I guess beating that licker half to death really pumped you up. If I didn't know any better, I would think you had several cups of sugar.' Jim replies as he rubs his arm. 'This helicopter, it should be on the roof. Should it not?' Sephiroth asks as he brushes the fragments of the one licker's skull off his coat. 'Yeah, should be.' Jim replies. Sephiroth turns towards the door, and opens it. Looking back he waved for Megan, and Jim to follow.

Out the door, they made their way down the hall. Corpses are lining the halls, all apparently remaining dead. Most of their heads were missing, and the ones still with head had large gashes in their necks and chests. It looked as if a tiger had gotten loose in the hospital. 'Lickers?' Jim said questionably toward Sephiroth.

Sephiroth just looked at Jim, and shook his head. 'I do not think so. The creatures that did this leave claw marks that differ from those licker creatures. I fear it is something much more dangerous.' Sephiroth said with his usual cold tone. 'That's just great.' Megan said as she followed them.

Suddenly, they come to a stop seeing a bloody man limping around the corner ahead. It was obvious that he was no zombie, but something was not right. The man tried to move quicker as if being chased by something, but as he turned the corner a large green scaly monster leaps through the air. It screeches as it holds it's claw out, as the man turns to scream in fear it's claw slices his head off. The man's now headless body falls to the floor, as the reptilian looking ape let out a victory cry.

'What is that?' Megan screamed. Jim immediately responded 'A hunter. I remember seeing one back at the lab. Very dangerous.'

'Well, get ready, because it seen us.' Sephiroth said as he gripped the handle of the Masamune. Jim, and Megan look back again watching the hunter approaching them slowly. It's feet's nails make a loud clicking, and it's claw occasionally scraping the wall. Suddenly the hunter leaps at them screeching, Sephiroth quickly pulls the Masamune from it's sheath and swings it up wards at the hunter.

The hunter lands behind Sephiroth, in front of Megan and Jim. It raises it's claw ready to attack when it suddenly splits in half, down the middle. Megan whips the sweat from her head, then hugged onto Sephiroth's arm. 'We'd be dead if it weren't for you Sephy.' Megan said smiling. Jim just patted Sephiroth on the back 'So much from very dangerous.'

'Well, I suggest we get moving. Once we get out of this damn city I'm going to take a vacation or something.' Jim said. Together Megan, and Sephiroth nod as they begin to go move through the hospital looking for a way to the roof.

[color=indigo][i]Finally, after many tries, Link, Mario, and Samus manage to lift Madam Aroma up into Epona's saddle, Epona not very pleased with having Madam Aroma riding her, but putting up with it because it would probably mean less complaining about her feet.[/i]

Aroma: Thank you. I don't know how anyone manages to actually climb up onto one of these things...

[i]Link looks up at Madam Aroma sitting side saddle on Epona, and sighs. Again, Samus leans over to Mario and whispers.[/i]

Samus: Oh, not at all, why?

Link: Well, whatever, lets just get going before any more Piranha Plants catch up to us.

Link: Right, yeah, um...

Link: Maybe we should head towards Mushroom Village and the castle, to see what's happened there?

Mario: Yeah, sounds-a good to me. Maybe we'll-a be able to find out more about the Piranha Plants.

[i]The four of them set off towards Mushroom Village, Madam Aroma being silent for once, while Epona wonders if Link would be mad if she made Madam Aroma fall off.[/i][/color]

[color=darkblue][i]With Rick in front of us Dot and I covered his back against the possible incoming assault. The hallway in front of us began to creak, and a crushing noise slowly crept closer and closer. All of this was going on while Chris was being effected by the T virus. How did we ever get to this point?[/i]

[b]The Recap: Pac-Man and Dot[/b]

[i]I was sitting in my offices one day when Dot entered the room. She had a problem: the ghosts were after her, and she needed my help. After a brief battle with Inky we spent the night in my house (Mrs. Pac-Man and Junior were away for the weekend) so that I could watch after her.

There she explained that her father, Professor Packington, was working for the Umbrella corporation on a top secret energy pellet "The Ultra Pellet 9000" that has the power of 10,000 normal ones. In order to do further research on how the pellet has affected other monsters besides ghosts he took the underwater train to Raccoon City. He was never heard from again.

However, Dot was carrying the Ultra Pellet 9000 for her father, and decided that she should go to Raccoon City and use it to help her father. Her and I also took a train to Raccoon City, but shortly after exiting the train it was destroyed during a fight between Fighter Pilot Rick Hunter andzombies.

We became allies against the zombies, and against the ghosts who tried to attack them again. Why did they follow me to Raccoon City? I still have no idea...

Kevin disappeared shortly, so I left Dot while I went to search for him. In that time I met S.T.A.R.S. Agent Chris Redfield and Megaman. In a fight with zombies and monster spiders Chris was bitten and affected with the T virus. Soon Toejam and Earl joined our ranks, and I became reunited with Dot and Rick. Now we are in the abandoned police station with some sort of monster across the hallway, uh-oh.[/i]

[i] I moved in front of Dot in order to shield her from the incoming assault. From behind me I could hear a muffled cry, and then footsteps in the opposite direction. Before I was able to turn around the loud sounds of barking and growling entered the room. A huge dog came out of the darkness and leaped onto Toejam, while another one rushed into Rick, knocking him to the ground. These were not regular dogs, I could tell from the rotting flesh and green bruises on them. These dogs must have been infected with the T virus![/i][/color]

A shadowed figure slowly appears through the misty surface of the murky swamp water. A cloaked being slowly drudging along inside of a wide, flat bottomed boat. Charon, the ferryman who at any normal time would carry souls from purgatory across the river styx into the land of the dead. However, every century when castlevania appears in this world, Charon follows with it to ferry brave souls who wish to face the master vampire Dracula and send him into the abyss for another century.

Alucard looked at the man and smirked slightly stepping once apon the seemingly rotted wood of the boat, knowing that it is as solid and steady as the day the boat was made many eons ago. His eyes met the spirits sockets as he spoke.

"It has been a long time ferryman."

"Yes, yes it has young master. Have you come to join our cause once again?"

"No, Charon. I am not. I am here to end my fathers existance once and for all..... hopefully."

His words had a tinge of uncertainty and he knew Charon sensed that because he heard the wicked hiss of a laugh that escaped the ghouls ghastly pale lips. As they dissappeared into the mist he felt his skin prick for as soon as the shore came out of view he saw the gate to the courtyard of the floating castle.

They slowly came to a stop at the front gate and entranceway and he got off. his voice filled with venom as he speaks to Charon.

"I will return when finished, then i will deal with you."

turning around, however, he found noone. with narrowed eyes he turned and walked into the courtyard of castlevania.

[COLOR=green]Samus walks beside Epona, concealing a sugar cube in her armored hand. Epona tries to get at it by suddenly changing direction, causing Madame Aroma to wobble in her precarious position in the saddle.

Samus begins to swing her pump her arm as she walks, causing Epona to rapidly jerk back and forth. Link watches in confusion as the Epona jerks back and forth, causing Madame Aroma to hold on for dear life.

Finally Samus gives up on trying to dislodge Madame Aroma from her seat and tosses the sugar cube into a ditch on the side of the road. Epona comes to a sudden halt and bends down to eat the sugar cube, sending Madame Aroma tumbling to the dusty ground.

Madame Aroma: "This stupid animal! What is wrong with it Link? Why must it jerk around like this?"

Link: "Uh, I don?t know. Epona only would act like this if there was sugar around."

Samus: "That is highly unlikely, as sugar is not native to this area."

Together the three heroes heave Madame Aroma back onto Epona's back and continue to walk. Barely five minutes later Samus and Mario lag behind, and begin to talk in low voices?

Samus: "Five coins please."

Mario: "No way! I saw the way you-a cheated!"

Samus: "Me, cheat!?! Never?"

Mario: "Ha ha, very funny. But I'm not paying you-a anything."

Samus: "Alright?"

Link: "So that's what it was."

Both Samus and Mario jump to find Link behind them, looking at them with a mixture of amusement and distaste.

Their discussion is cut short by Madame Aroma's whining.

Madame Aroma: "We've arrived at last. Come on lets find somewhere to eat!"

The three heroes jog back to Madame Aroma and enter Mushroom Village?[/COLOR]

He looked up into the night sky, the streetlights of midgar appearing in front of them. He glanced at the stars, entraced by their glow. How he missed Aeries, he hoped what he felt was true...

Tifa glanced up as well, smiling gently. Cloud sat on a nearby boulder, and clasped his hands in front of him, thinking of the one he loved.

Tifa walked over, and put her hand on top of his.

"I feel it too." She said, looking into the sky as well. "I'm sure she's out there."

Cloud bit his lip, and looked back down at Tifa.

"It's like she's trying to reach out to me... somehow..." Cloud added.

"I'm sure she is, she's probably just-"

Cloud shot up, and looked down the hill, to see the shadow of a tall, slender woman, reading a book underneath a dim streetlamp. She was faced the opposite direction, and seemed to feel quite peaceful reading her book.

"Cloud, what is it?" Tifa asked, not noticing the young woman.

Cloud began running down the hill, waving his hands excitedly.

"Aeries!!!! You're-"

Just then, the woman jumped, panic-struck, and pulled out a familiar iron rod from behind.

At that moment, she swung her rod at the overwhelmingly excited Cloud, and jumped back down next to Tifa.

Tifa ran to Cloud, and put her hands on her hips.

"Yep, she's reachin out to ya, Cloud." Tifa stated sarcasticly, smirking at Cloud.

Tifa turned around, and looked at the woman. Just then, she jumped at the familiar face...

"Aeries!? Is that you!?"

The woman smiled, despite all that showed were her jade eyes. She winked at Tifa, and smiled.

"Nice to see ya again, Tifer! ^_^" The woman exclaimed, smiling.

She looked behind Tifa's back, to see a rather familiar haircut rise from the end of the bench she had been sitting in...

"Cloud!?!" Aeries called, surprised at what she had done.

She awkwardly put a hand behind her back, and smiled. She quickly put the rod in Tifa's hands, and helped him up.

"Didn't know that was you, cloud," She said, blushing into a rosy red.

Cloud rubbed his head, and stumbled up, off the ground.

"Nice to see you too Aeries..." He mumbled, smirking at her.

Tifa laughed, and whispered, "He really seemed to enjoy your [i]warm welcome.[/i]"

The two girls laughed, as the two helped Cloud up, and walked into the streets of midgar...[/color] [/size]

[i] Tidus was really freaked now, he wished they would have stayed in the airship but after they had entered the hospital they had heard scream and gunshots on the same floor, as they ran towards the sound they came upon a locked door, Lulu quickly disposed of it with a Thundaga spell and as they walked through Vincent, Yuffie and Cid all tensed up, Tidus could only grin.[/i]

Tidus: Sephiroth i presume.

[i] The man turns slowly and glares at Tidus which only makes Tidus feel even more giddy.[/i]

Tidus: So you are the infamous Sephiroth. I'm Tidus and this is my wife Yuna. Hey do you need to get out of here? Cause i've got an Airship waiting for us so.

Sephiroth: Fine but i hope you have an Ether, i really need to be able to heal myself some more.

Tidus: Yuna, will you do him the honor?

Yuna: Gladly.

[i]Yuna daintly steps over to the man and begins to use her healing powers on him and she noticed that he had a cold rugged personality but it only covered his caring part of his soul.[/i]

Yuna: So where do you come from?

Sephiroth: Don't know. You look familiar. Very familar...

[i] After Yuna healed him they began their trek to the airship. Once onboard Tidus showed Sephiroth and his party to their quarters and he told Sephiroth that they would be heading to Midgar. Tidus was surprised by the look that Sephiroth got on his face when Tidus told him this news.[/i]

[The Vampire: Ed]

As Sephiroth, Jim, and Megan made their way through the hospital, they heard a loud crash and the sound of steel doors falling to the floor. Spinning around the three of them looked down the hall waiting for a sign of danger, and suddenly it came in the form of a voice. 'S.T.A.R.S....!!!!!' That familiar monstrous voice called out, Sephiroth reached for the Masamune but Megan grabbed his arm. 'You can't. We know how strong you are, but right now you're just too weak to battle with that thing. You lost a lot of blood, and it's obvious that you were unable to heal yourself fully. Let's just go for the roof.' Megan begged as she tugged at him, and Jim just looked at him with a nod of agreement.

As they turned and run up the steps nearby, proceeding to the second of four floors in the hospital, a shadow came from the wall at the end of the hallway. The shapeless shadow spoke in the Nemesis' voice again 'S.T.A.R.S...!!!!', then it slowly began to take shape. Suddenly, from around the corner came several people. As they came into the hallway's light, they could be seen as Tidus, Yuna, Lulu, Vincent, Yuffie, and Cid.

They all stopped as they stared ahead, Vincent, Yuffie, and Cid seemed frozen in fear. As if they've seen a ghost. 'Sephiroth I presume.' Tidus suddenly called out, and the formally shapeless shadow turned around it's appearance now that of Sephiroth's. It's eyes burned a hole through Tidus, when suddenly a false looking smile crosses it's face.

Meanwhile on the second floor.....

Sephiroth's body tingled a bit as he felt that same old familiar feeling, the one of something calling out to him. Megan again tugged on his arm, and they continued on. Jim, looked out the window seen a group of people making their way down the street. Among them he noticed a man whom look exactly like Sephiroth. 'What the hell is going on here?' Jim said out loud. Megan responded with a concerned tone in her voice 'What's up? What did you see?'

Looking out the window Megan seen it too, and Sephiroth himself look. He's expression turned to one of anger, and he uttered the word 'Jenova...' as he gritted his teeth. Looking at the group he had seen the familiar enemies of his. Yuffie, Cid, and of course Vincent. Sephiroth just walked down the hall towards another set of steps, but Megan called out to him.

'Wait!' she yelled, and Sephiroth came to halt looking back. 'Shouldn't we warn them that he's a fake?' she continued. Sephiroth just shook his head, and spoke 'No need, they'll be fine.'

'How do you know?' Jim asked suspiciously as if Sephiroth was hiding something. 'Three of those people helped to put me in the ground, and I know they can handle a simple clone stirred up by mot.h..er..Jenova.' the response he got was cold, and undetailed just leaving them to wonder more. 'Let's move on.' Sephiroth spoke again, and Jim and Megan quickly followed behind. Making their way up to the third floor they came to a hallway full of zombie patients, nurses, and doctors. Preparing to battle, the stood as the horde of undead flesh eating mindless drones stumbled towards them.

Back on the airship......

Now, high above the ground in the air the airship began to make it's way back toward Midgar. Everyone was resting in their rooms, and Tidus talking with Yuna by the windows just below the deck. Vincent stood with his arms folded leaning against the wall listening to Cid, and Yuffie talking.

'What are there people crazy? They're just letting Sephiroth aboard after all we've told them about him?' Cid yelled out clenching his fist, and Yuffie nodded in agreement then spoke herself 'What will Cloud do when he see Sephiroth? He'll go nuts! There'll be a huge fight in Migar! What is Sephiroth decides to go on a killing spree again?'

Vincent suddenly chimed in 'I felt Sephiroth presence back there. But now I don't feel it anymore.' Cid, and Yuffie looked at Vincent puzzled. 'What the hell are you talking about?' Cid yelling obviously demanding an answer. Vincent looked to the floor, then stood straight up looking directly at them. 'What I'm saying is this: That thing that we got onboard is not Sephiroth. I think it's like before. There we're clones of Sephiroth running around, and I think that think is one.' he declared.

'We've got to warn the others!' Yuffie cried out, and the three of them nodded together in agreement as they began to leave their quarters the alarm began to go off. Red lights flashed, and flicked as a frantic announcement came over the PA system from Cid, Rikku's father.

'Everyone, get to the bridge! HURRY! That weirdo with the black coat is trying to kill us!!'

Everyone gathered quickly at the bridge doors, and proceed through catching the clone Sephiroth raising it's sword above Rikku's father's, Cid, head.

'Hey, you! What do you think you're doing? We helped you, and this is how you repay us? We should have listened to Vincent, Cid, and Yuffie about you.' Tidus yelled out clenching his sword tightly in his hand.

'It's not him. It's not Sephiroth!' Yuffie yelled out, but only received a confused look from the others unfamiliar with Sephiroth, Jenova, and everything else they've experienced. 'We can't explain right now, but that thing is a clone.' Vincent said as they all looked at each other. Suddenly, their attention was brought back to the clone as they heard laughing.

The clone turned to face them, and grinned evilly. 'Fools..' it spoke coldly then continued 'You're much to late to rectify your error. My master knew of your arrival, and he knew you were either there to take Sephiroth away or kill him. That just could not happen. My master has plans for Sephiroth now that he's rejected the orders of Jenova. Jenova live through another son, one whom is grateful for his gift. I am to remove you from the city, and when we got far away from Sephiroth, I am to kill you. Now is that time, prepare yourselves for a painful death.'

The clone raised it's arms to the ceiling laughing like a madman, suddenly it attacks knocking Yuffie aside with a backhand. Dashing right for Tidus it raises it's sword up ready to strike him down, Tidus must act quickly of surely it'll be the end for him.

[color=blue]As Rick Hunter looked on he saw his comrades being overwhelmed by the enemy.

Rick Hunter: (Thinking to himself) What should I do, I know! I'll use the battloid mode to take care of the dog and that green monster. It should be more then enough to take that ugly guy out.

Rick Hunter transformed the cyclone to battloid mode, he let loose a barrage of missile?s executing the dog, and other monsters in the surrounding area.

Rick Hunter: Ah! How does everyone like their monsters extra crispy or original?

Just at that moment Rick's com link on the cyclone went active, as Pac Man's group began to crowd around the miniature screen they saw a young women with a light brown Hair!

Lisa: Lt. Rick Hunter report in immediately!

Rick Hunter: Lisa thanks goodness it?s you! I request immediate back up! The Raccoon City outbreak is getting worse, there isn't much more time.

Lisa: Rick I'm sorry but whatever trouble has come to pass in Raccoon cannot be dealt with now. The Zentradi have begun a full-scale war against us during our Docking Procedure off the coast of the Mushroom Kingdom. We request your immediate deployment to that location! Drop what ever your doing and get your butt here now.

Rick Hunter: But Lisa, I can't do that the other members of Pac Man's party need me. I'm the only guy around here that has the technological backings to stop the Zombies.

Lisa: This is a direct order from your Superior Officer Rick, get your *** to the coast of the Mushroom Kingdom now, or you'll be thrown in the brig for direct violation of orders. Do you understand me Mr.

Rick Hunter: Roger Commander Hayes, this is Rick Hunter returning to base, I request immediate deployment of a VF-19 to escort me there.

Pac Man: Your leaving us Rick?

Rick Hunter: I'm really sorry but this is a direct order from High Command I can't ignore it, my friends, my home, and Minmei are depending on me. I can't refuse this order for the sake of the ones I love. I'm really sorry Pac Man but I must go, if I can be of any service in the future to you guys when I'm not busy please call me on this.

Rick Hunter hands Pac-Man a standard Com Link device with this he will be able to communicate with Rick via satellite communications.

Rick Hunter: Now I must be off to the drop zone. Lisa! Where are you going to be deploying the VF-19?

Lisa: Rick I'm sorry but you'll have to make the trip via cyclone across the countryside. Right now I have no men to spare for you. Please get here quickly and safely.

Rick Hunter: Well Pac Man this is it! Goodbye Dot I hope you find what you?re looking for.

Pac Man: Take care Rick please succeeds in your mission.

Rick Hunter: Don't worry I will, and if I can I shall return to save your butt again. Catch you later!

Rick Hunter drives off into the darkness, his destination the coast of the Mushroom Kingdom to do battle with the Zentradi Armada once more.

[color=indigo][i]As Samus, Mario, Link, and Madam Aroma enter Mushroom Village, they see various Toads going about the days business, much like in Donut Plains, only a bit busier. Upon walking a ways into town, though, they see the Mushroom Inn, which is under repair, as is a couple other buildings in the area.[/i]

Link: Hmm, looks like the damage wasn't too bad... That's good.

Mario: I wonder if we can still get-a something to eat there?

[i]Samus switches to her X-Ray Scope, and looks through the walls of the Inn at the people inside.[/i]

Samus: Looks like there are people inside. The damage is mainly on the outside, and the roof.

Link: Heh, lets just hope it doesn't rain before they get the roof repaired.

[i]The four of them walk up to the Inns entrance, and Madam Aroma dismounts quite ungracefully, though not as ungracefully as falling off, and Link sends Epona away, out to graze on the hills surrounding Mushroom Village. For a horse, Epona is quite smart, though sometimes stubborn, not a little like Link himself. As they enter the Inn, a paper in a small stand catches Link's eye, and he does a double take, quickly walking back out of the Inn.[/i]

Samus: What's wrong?

Link: Got a Coin on you? All I've got is Rupees.

[i]Samus hands Link a Coin, and he puts it into the coin slot on the newspaper stand, opens the hatch, and pulls out a paper. He holds it up, for all to see. The headline reads "Princess Peach seen running bordering cruise ship S.S. Anne" and below it is a picture of Peach running up onto the ship.[/i]

Mario: Mama-mia! Why would she-a leave?

Samus: Maybe she got bored?

Link: Maybe she went looking for you? We did just kind of disappear for a while there.

Aroma: You know, we could discuss this over lunch, you know.

[i]The three turn to look at Madam Aroma, as if they had forgotten she was even there.[/i]

Link: Okay, but you're paying this time. I've only got a few Rupees left after buying those shoes, and those are going to be used to replace my Lamp, which I also lost in that fire.

Samus: Which, ironically enough, was your fault...

[i]Link opens his mouth to say something, and then closes it again. After a few seconds, he finally replies.[/i]

Link: ...That's beside the point.

Mario: Look, can we-a just go in and get-a something to eat, eh? I'm-a startin' to get hungry too!

[i]The four walk into the Mushroom Inn again, this time making it all the way past the door. They head over to the dining room, and sit down, either by chance or by some strange twist of fate, at the same table as when it was Mario, Link, and Yoshi in the group. They order lunch, and then continue to discuss the matter of the Princess.[/i]

Link: Well, did you notice anything strange, before you got mixed up in all this?

Mario: No, not really. Everything seemed to be normal.

Link: Hmm...maybe Samus was right, maybe she did just get bored. I have to say, hanging around Hyrule Castle isn't the most entertaining thing in the world.

[i]"Taking Epona out to Lon Lon Ranch and racing with Malon is a lot more fun," Link thinks. Just then, though, a waiter brings their lunch, and then hurries away to take care of other customers. Samus takes off her helmet to eat, and lets her long, light brown hair, tied back into a ponytail, fall back behind her.[/i]

Aroma: ...You're a woman?

Samus: Yeah. What were you expecting?

Link: I suppose it would be hard to tell from the voice, since the helmets speaker kind of changes it. ...But anyway, do you think we should follow Peach?

Mario: I don't-a know. Lets eat first, and then decide what we're-a gonna do, eh?

Aroma: Yes, lets eat![/color]

[Domon]

[i] Tidus lunged at this clone of Sephiroth and slashed at him but his Calablog was blocked. Tidus soon found himself flying into the wall and landing next to Yuffie who gave him look that said "Told you this guy was a psycho." Tidus had enough, he stood up looked at Sephiroth and looked at Yuna and nodded, she quickly stepped over to him and had out her weapon the Nirvana and then they both yelled out their final attack which made the Sephiroth clone look on in horror.[/i]

Tidus and Yuna: Holy Desecration!!!

[i] With these words both Tidus and Yuna's weapons combined together and began to resonate with the power of the Farplane and then wham!!! A huge energy beam shot outwards and went straight through the clone, instantly killing him but it also disappated after hitting him. (OOC: i made this attack up as a new tweak since this is after the characters of FFX beat Sin.) After destroying the clone Tidus and Yuna both slumped onto the deck and Tidus pounded his fist on the floor.[/i]

Tidus: I can't believe that!!! A clone!! I'm sorry i put you guys in so much danger. I'm sorry.

Rikku: Don't worry i forgive you, i thought that the real guy was actually nice but how did a clone get on and the real one got off? That's something i would like to know.

Vincent: We told you Sephiroth was an evil man..

Yuna: Look i was closer to him then any of you and i say he did have a cold personality but that was to protect the humane side of his soul. The Sephiroth you know and hate has changed.

Tidus: Well i sugguest we head back to Midgar and find your friend Cloud. Maybe he can tell me some more about this creep.

[b]OOC: I apologise for not being able to post until now, since I have had a terribly painful spine and I haven't been able to get on my PC.[/b]

Sonic and Knuckles awoke to shuffling beneath them..
Awaking, Sonic jumped as he saw a pitchfork go straight through the bale of hay next to him.
He grabbed Knuckles, and began to shake him.

[color=darkblue][b]Sonic (whispering):[/b] Dude! Dude! Wake up! Someone is here, we need to get the heck outta here, now![/color]

Knuckles awoke to see the rusted pitchfork pierce another bale of hay, much to his dismay.

[color=maroon][b]Knuckles:[/b] Crap... looks like we're gonna have to make a sharp exit and head straight for the castle.. let's just hope the drawbridge is open..[/color]

[color=darkblue][b]Sonic:[/b] Of course it'll be open![/color]

[color=maroon][b]Knuckles:[/b] Was it open last night when made a run for it?[/color]

Sonic huffed, knowing that Knuckles always took everything to heart and always came out with a smart answer, as he never understood the meaning of "keeping your hopes up" he just came out with the logical, correct answer, even if it was "we're going to die".

[color=darkblue][b]Sonic:[/b] State the obvious why dont ya?! Lets just go bef --[/color]

Sonic was cut out by a voice of a lon-lon ranch worker, who was complaining about the lack of milk to a friend. Sonic and Knuckles knew it was time to leave.

[color=darkblue][b]Sonic (whispering):[/b] Dude, I'm gonna break the wall down, then we make a run for it, ok?[/color]

[color=maroon][b]Knuckles:[/b] Go f--[/color]

Before he could finish, there was a circular hole in the wall, which Sonic had created for Knuckles to follow through. Doing so caused a lon-lon worker, who was already outside the walls of the ranch to spot the red blur heading for the castle. Catching up with Sonic at the drawbridge, Knuckles began to shout.

[color=maroon][b]Knuckles:[/b] YOU COULD OF TOLD ME YOU WERE ABOUT TO DO IT![/color]

[color=darkblue][b]Sonic:[/b] I did![/color]

[color=maroon][b]Knuckles:[/b] You know I'm not as fast as you, dammit! Always showing off like a little boy... Geez.[/color]

Knuckles looked at Sonic, who was looking at the Hyrule castle bridge guard, who was staring in disbelief.

[color=darkorange][b]Guard:[/b] I've seen weird things, but nothing like you pair...[/color]

After about 5 minutes of awkwards silence, Sonic walked past the guard, closely followed by Knuckles. The guard's eyes followed the pair, never taking his eyes off them for a second, until they disappeared at the end of the road into the center of town.

[color=darkorange][b]Guard:[/b] Weird indeed..[/color]

The market bustled with life, stalls packed with fruit and various other foods littered the town center. People crammed up against the stalls, trying to catch a glimpse of what was on offer. Tiny dogs circled the fountain directly in the middle of the circle, playing with each other and sniffing unsuspecting shoppers.

Upon entering the market, Sonic and Knuckles were welcomed by an eerie silence.

[color=darkblue][b]Sonic:[/b] Oh for crying out loud, can't a blue hedgehog and an echidna shop in peace, without people staring at them... Huh?![/color]

Sonic gave an angry stare to the shoppers, who immediately continued their bargaining with the stall keepers.

[color=maroon][b]Knuckles:[/b] Nice.. You ended a situation without violence, I congratulate you..[/color]

Holding back an urge to hit Knuckles really hard, Sonic walked towards what he though was an inn, and stared at those who stared at him. Walking into the inn, Knuckles booked a room and the pair spent a relaxing night in beds.

The next morning, Knuckles and Sonic heard some disturbing news from a traveller. Raccoon city had been out of contact and strange things had been reported sighted in the city. Deciding that even though it was up to the residents of the city, Sonic and Knuckles decided to check it out, due to what had happened before.

Sonic and Knuckles set out for the city, as fast as they could..

[b]Seth:[/b] So you just go around telling everybody you meet your biddings...and, expect them to do it?

[b]Shenazi:[/b] No, and no. One I didn't choose you at random, and two it's not my "bidding".

[b]Seth:[/b] Well, then have you been stalking me, or somthing?

[b]Shenazi:[/b] Not really, well, kinda, but just a little.

[b]Seth:[/b] When?! I am very perceptive, and find it hard to believe that I have not noticed you until now.

[b]Shenazi:[/b] (trying to hold in laughter) Oh God!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You, *more laughter* perceptive?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (calming down) Oh, woooo, sorry. *Seth still staring at her blankly* Yeah, um, you're not perceptive. Even in the least. I've been watching you for more than a month now, and you havn't so much as looked my way when you heard a noise. I was begining to think you were deaf, so I tried talking to you. There I was standing not three feet behind you, so I started to introduce myself but nothing happened. You didn't even flinch, like I wasn't there, so I started over. Still no response from you.

[b]Seth:[/b] Well, I guess I did fail the standard hearing and eye exam at the doctor's office. And that was before I even went to mars, and it's moon's.

[b]Shenazi:[/b] So how exactly did you defeat those hords of aliens.

[b]Seth:[/b] Well....... My other senses are drasticly hightened!

[b]Shenazi:[/b] So what did you do, taste, smell, and touch 'em to death?

[b]Seth:[/b] Kindof......... ............ ............ ............ ............ ........... ............ ............

[b]Shenazi:[/b] Ick! Ick! And double Ick! WTMI!!!!!!!!!! WTMI!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTMI!!!!!!!!!! *sucks on fist-full of gravel for a minute, and decides to calm down* Back to the topic at hand: Your first mission.

[b]Seth:[/b] Wait, hold up, stop everything. I still have two more questions.

[b]Shenazi:[/b] Sheesh! This could take a while!

[b]Seth:[/b] Okay. Question number one: Who sent you?

[b]Shenazi:[/b] What do you mean, "who sent you"? I wasn't sent.

[b]Seth:[/b] Of course you were, you said "it's not my bidding", and so I want to know who's it was.

[b]Shenazi:[/b] If you must know. It was Princess Zelda, there, now are you satisfied?

[b]Seth:[/b] No! I still have one more question.

[b]Shenazi:[/b] Come on then, let's have it.

[b]Seth:[/b] Why do you keep refering to this as my first mission?

[b]Shenazi:[/b] What?

[b]Seth:[/b] Well all those times I was killing aliens and nasty unmentionables, those were all missions you know! It just feels kinda wierd having somone who seems to know so much about me look over such a large part of my past.

[b]Shenazi:[/b] All I meant was that this will be [u][i]your first[/i][/u] of a few missions requested by Zelda and delivered by me.

[b]Seth:[/b] Oh, okay.

[b]Shenazi:[/b] Good, now that thats [u]all[/u] cleared up; can we please continue?

[b]Seth:[/b] Sure, but first........................... we should probably head back to my space station.

[b]Shenazi:[/b] Why?

*slowly drifting off*
[b]Seth:[/b] Cuz......................its.................................nearing..........................night fall......................... and..............................and.............................full (groaning) moon.

[The Vampire: Ed]

The zombies flooded the hall, as Sephiroth swung the Masamune rapidly taking down several at a time. Jim stood in the back firing his hand gun off at ones who managed to survive being sliced apart, Megan however just stood back and watched as she was still unarmed. Finally, all motion in the hallway came to a stop, the zombies lay dead on the floor. Sephiroth turns looking back at Jim, and Megan just as he's about to speak a zombie gets up, lundging at Sephiroth's neck. It missed his neck, but bit into his shoulder. A small grunt of pain escapes Sephiroth's mouth as he elbows the zombie off, as he spun around he held the Masamun up lopping off it's head.

It's body collapses, and Sephiroth grabbed hold of his shoulder, pulling his hand away he looked at his blood covered hand. A small grin crossed his face as he thought about the last time he had bleed so much, his past battle with Cloud came to mind. He remembered his face dripping of blood, and stained a crimson color before his body was once again cast deep under the earth's surface to lay dormant in the lifestream of the planet. With a snap of his wrist his blood splattered on to the wall, looking ahead he saw a door with a sign next to it.

'There....' Sephiroth said as he pointed towards the door, reading the sign 'Stairs to the roof.' Jim, and Megan smiled at each other realizing their escape from this hellish city may be near. 'I can't believe it! We're finally getting out of this nightmare!' Megan screamed excitedly as if she was a little kid again on Christmas morning.

Jim laughed, and spoke 'Didn't I tell you we'd be okay?' Megan nodded, and Sephiroth smiled himself feeling the first authentic human emotion since he was reborn. However, hidden under his smile was a feeling of unease. Sephiroth sensed something was awry, he turned opening the door. The stairs we unblocked, and free of monsters of any kind.

Making their up the stairs they come to the last door, it was locked, however. Sephiroth just stepped up and kicked the door off it's hinges sending the door flying back over the side of the building. Jim just looked surprised, and made a comment 'Over did it a bit, didn't ya?'

The three of them walked out onto the roof, their hair blowing slightly in the wind. Looking around Jim yelled out 'Look! There it is!', their attention brought to the helicopter still on the roof. 'Ha! I was right again.' Jim said proudly with his hands on his hips. They began to approach the helicopter but suddenly stopped when they heard clapping followed by a cold, almost robotic laugh.

'Heh, heh, heh.....congratulations! I never thought you two would make it, but I suppose it's all thanks to the specimen here.' the voiced said mockingly, Sephiroth could feel his body reacting to something or someone nearby with the Jenova cells also with in their body. They all turned slowly seeing the figure of a man standing in the shadows, the outline of a smile is seen. 'Who are you?' Sephiroth demanding asked as he held the Masamune out pointed in his direction.

'It's a shame, you know nothing of me. But I know a lot about you. Yes, Jenova has told me a lot of you.' the figure coldly spoke as Sephiroth just look on angered slightly. 'Fool, you were a pawn in her plans. Made to believe you were the son of Jenova, when in fact you were nothing more then an experiment. Much like you were when I had taken a sample of your blood and injected it into myself. I wasn't quite aware of what was going to happen, something just spoke out to me. A voice. Jenova herself, I suppose. She said that she chose me, and I would have great power. In return I would destroy you for turning your back on her when she beckoned you once more.'

The man behind the shadow slowly began to walk around the roof top, he stepped from the shadows and into the moonlight. He wore sunglasses, and had dark blonde hair. Dressed in a swat looking uniform, the man adjust his sunglasses with his gloved hands. Jim looked surprised, and spoke up in a confused manner 'Hey, wait a minute. I remember you. You're Albert Wesker. They said you were dead.'

'Yes, I nearly was. Thanks to William Birkin, I survived because of a virus he gave me before the mansion. It actives when it's host is at near death revitalizing them, and bring them back to life with newly enhanced abilities. After coming back from the "dead" I revisited Birkin to tell him of the success of his virus. By then, however, Umbrella had already raided his lab and caused the spread of the T-Virus through out the city. But there is something they hadn't known, that only myself and Birkin did. He had hidden his most important work, and I had come across it.' Wesker said smiling devilishly.

'My blood, the Jenova cells.' Sephiroth said with a cold tone in his voice. Wesker grinned as he look at the roof under his feet then toward Sephiroth, 'Correct. Birkin apparently had no idea exactly what it was or what it could do, but he knew there was something special about. More then just a "new blood type". That is when Jenova spoke to me, and she revealed all to me. Needless to say it made me even more powerful. Thanks to Birkin's virus and the Jenova cells I am now even stronger, and faster then you.' Wesker said proudly of his discovery.

'When I say she revealed all, I do mean ALL.' Wesker said boldly while laughing lightly. 'Heh, I must admit. I admired the old you, the memories that I seen thanks to Jenova certainly impressed me. You certainly were an evil man, more so then most if not all other villains today. I realize that those clones of you did most of the damage, and killing. But they had your will in them, they did as you would have done. They killed the way you would have, so I know what you're really like. I was very impressed that you even tried to slaughter an entire plant with a meteor.' Wesker said callously.

Wesker laughed out loud, and spoke again this time in a mocking tone. 'You're weak now. You body was exposed to the lifestream for far too long. The planet decided to give you a second chance, it pushed Jenova's power over you out. Now, you're much like the respectable soldier you once were before you went mad. However, you still have Jenova's gift and I am going to take that away. I need your body, and I will take it with me whether you're alive or not. That is why I had your clone lure those whom sought to take you from here, away. Their probably dead by now.' Wesker laughed evily.

'Time to pay for the gift that you no longer deserve.' Wesker said as he quickly turned and dashed at Sephiroth. With amazing speed Wesker ran to the side of Sephiroth, and before he could react Wesker leapt up kicking Sephiroth across the roof. The Masamune fell free, and planted itself in the roof top. Jim grabbed his gun, and held it out to fire at Wesker but when he looked up there was Wesker staring down at him. With a backhand Jim was sent flying as well, his gun knocked out of his hand sent hurling off the roof top to the street below.

Sephiroth got back up, and looked at Wesker challengingly. 'Come.' said Sephiroth taunting Wesker. Both simultaneously runs at each other, and their battle begins

[i] After destroying the Sephiroth clone Tidus began to talk with the others in the observation deck.[/i]

Tidus: So, should we go back to Raccoon and look for the real Sephiroth or should we head back to Midgar???

Vincent: I think we should look for the real one, if your wife said she could sense something then we should go back and...

Rikku:[i] HEY GUYS!! WE FOUND THE REAL SEPHIROTH!!! HE'S IN RACCOON CITY ON TOP OF A HOSPITAL FIGHTING WITH SOMEONE!!! SO WE ARE HEADING BACK THERE, SO GET READY!!![/i]

[i] So the airship banked to its left and returned back to Raccoon city to the hospital and they saw a helicopter and saw the real Sephiroth fighting with some guy and two other people there as well. This time the airship shot out its anchors and Tidus, Yuna, Lulu, Vincent, and Kimahri slid down onto the helipad to confront the man that was attacking Sephiroth.[/i]

[The Vampire: Ed]

Sephiroth, and Wesker collide intensely sending a small tremor through the building beneath them. They exchange blow after blow, punches are thrown, and kicks landed. Both men going at each other like rabid dogs, Wesker jumps up with a spinning roundhouse kick knocking Sephiroth through the air.

Wesker jumped trying to land a fist drop as Sephiroth rolls back and onto his feet. Wesker cracks the roof top, and receives a kick to the face for his miss. Wesker flips over landing on his head, then slowly gets up. His sunglasses are cracked down the center, and fall apart. The pieces fall to the ground revealing Wesker's eyes to them for the first time.

They seem to be a reddish yellow color, and somewhat resembled a reptiles. 'That will cost you.' Wesker said as he kicked the remain of his sunglasses away, and pointed at Sephiroth. Wesker looked to his right seeing the Masamune in the ground, then returned a smile towards Sephiroth as he grabbed hold of the handle pulling it free. Holding the Masamune up Wesker admired his reflection in the slightly blood stained blade, then dashed at Sephiroth.

Sephiroth leapt back dodging Wesker's swing, then side steps the next. Right then an airship begins to hover above them, Wesker's attention drawn away for a moment leaving himself open. Sephiroth side in with a kick sending Wesker back across the roof, and slamming against the helicopter. The Masamune became lodged in the side of the helicopter, and Wesker slowly got to his feet sneering evilly at Sephiroth.

Sephiroth leapt through the air heading toward Wesker, but with quick reflexes and super strength Wesker ripped a pipe that was protruding from the roof out. Immediately he swung the pipe hitting Sephiroth in the stomach adding more damage, do to his still injured abdomen. Sephiroth fell to the roof, and clutched his abs in pain. Wesker grinned pulling the Masamune free from the side of the helicopter, approaching Sephiroth from behind Wesker raised the blade.

'This situation seems familiar. Oh that's right. When you killed the woman, it was somewhat like this. Aeris, was it? Well, good-bye Sephiroth.' Wesker said with his usual callous tone as he began to swing it down toward Sephiroth's back. Just them after getting back to his feet Jim grabbed the discarded pipe, and ran screaming at Wesker.

Suddenly, Wesker stop the blade and stuck it out to his side. The blade pierced Jim's chest, and stood with his arms still above his head with pipe in hand. Jim looked down to that blade impaling him, and he watched his blood slowly escaping. Time seemed to slow down then as Megan screamed out in horror, and Sephiroth weakly looked back with shock in his eyes. Jim looked back up at Wesker's grinning face, and his arms dropped causing the pipe to fall on to the roof.

Wesker swiftly pulled the blade out of Jim's chest, and back up laughing. Jim grabbed his chest and fell to the ground. His breathing became quick, and in desperate gasps. Sephiroth, and Megan quickly made their ways to Jim both on each side. 'No!' Megan cried out, as she held his head up. 'He'll be fine. Sephy, you can....you heal him.' Megan said sounding desperate.

Sephiroth clenched his fist, and shook his head no. 'B-b-but, you have to! He'll die!' Megan basically pleaded. 'I-I can't. I have no more magic power, and even if I did it would be much too late. You can't heal a wound of this nature. The heart is much to vital, I know this because I did it someone else long ago.' Sephiroth said looking to the ground. 'Y-you...you mean he's....' Megan trailed off with tears in her eyes.

Jim's eyes fluttered, and he opened them again looking up at his friends. 'D-d-don't cry, Me..g...an. I-I-I'll be...all right.' Jim forced himself to say as he was coughing constantly. Kneeling down besides Jim, Sephiroth grabbed hold of his hand as did Megan. They knew what was coming, and there was no fighting it. Megan cried endlessly as she looked down at Jim's face slowly turning pale.

Coughing Jim spoke again this time with a small trickle of blood coming from his mouth 'I told....you I'd be...all....right. I-I-I don't feel any pain....at...all. I'll.....be.....fine......' His voiced trailed off as his breathing stopped, and his body turned cold. His eyes looked as if they were glass, and stared off into the dark sky above them. It was over, Jim was gone. Sephiroth reached up and slowly pushed his eyelids down closing them over his eyes.

Wesker's hideous cackles echoed through the air, suddenly anchors from the airship came down and planted into the roof top. The one's from before Tidus, Yuna, Lulu, Kimahri, and Vincent slid down to the roof landing in front of Wesker as if ready to do battle. Vincent looked back with surprise seeing Sephiroth in a mourning state, and then look back to Wesker feeling the evil within him.

Tidus spoke up insulting Wesker 'Hey, chump! Want to take us on? I'll kick your butt all over this city.' Wesker laughed looking at the small group standing before him between himself and Sephiroth. 'Fools, do you really want to die? You'll just end up like their little friend. A miserable lifeless corpse.' Wesker said laughing disgustingly with pride.

As they were ready to attack, a booming voice stopped them in their tracks. 'NO!' the voice echoed out, and then spoke again 'He is mine!' They all turn to see Megan staring at Sephiroth whom is still looking at Jim, suddenly his attention snaps back to Wesker grinning sadistically. Slowly rising to his feet Sephiroth slowly walk out in front of Tidus and them, his face red with fury and anger. Rage flooded through his veins, as Wesker just snickered.

'What can you possibly do to me? I already proved myself superior to you. Just give up now.' Wesker said attempting to both anger him more, and to reason with him in hope of having to do less damage to his body as he needed it. Suddenly, Wesker was several feet away from where he was standing blood now flowing from his nose, looking up he seen Sephiroth standing with his fist in the air and the Masamune in his other hand.

'B-but how?!' Wesker exclaim with surprise as he returned to his feet. 'Albert Wesker, I do not know much of you. Nor do I care. You have mocked me, and killed a friend. One luxery that Jenova could never provide, and now I will make sure I make it clear for her. I now know my past, and I know that Jenova was never my mother. That past, with Jenova as her dog will never, as long as I can help it, again. Now, I will kill you like you did my friend. Behold Jenova's final gift to me.' Sephiroth said with a fierce calmness to his voice.

Sephiroth held his arms out to, and looked into the sky lower his arms slowly letting his coat fall free. Sephiroth's upperbody was exposed, and something on Sephiroth's back made Megan, Tidus, and the others gasp in shock. Wesker just looked on curiously wonder what it was they were looking, and suddenly it happened. A large black wing slowly extended from his right shoulder, it stood up and the feathers ruffled with the blowing wind.

**OOC: If this were a scene in a movie or a game, this is where Sephiroth's 'One Winged Angle' theme would play.**

'W-w-what is this? What the hell is going on?!' Wesker yelled out confused, and wide eyed. Looking down to the ground, Sephiroth slowly looked up at Wesker. 'This, Wesker, is a reminder of the suffrage that Jenova brought me. This is the final "gift" that she bestowed upon me, and I intend to use it. I will use it to wipe her out, and you with her. She no longer has any power over me, and with you gone....Jenova might as well be a myth from this day forward. I am the One Winged Angel, and I will deliver you into death's bony hands.' Sephiroth said in his own callous manner, with a far off look in his eyes.

All stood with amazement as Sephiroth simply planted the Masamune in the roof, and slowly walked towards Wesker. Suddenly, Sephiroth dashed forward and with the wing stretched out it gave him a slight lift when he landed a powerful punch to Wesker's stomach knocking him back. Stepping forward with a small gliding jump Sephiroth kicked Wesker in the face sending him to the ground and sliding back towards the edge of the building. Wesker slowly got up staggering with his hair looking messy, and blood now coming from his lip.

'Y-y-you can't beat me!!! I am faster, stronger, and I am superior to you in every way! How can you beat me?!' Wesker screamed angrily as he looked at Sephiroth's expressionless face. 'I don't know. You can think about it on the way down.' Sephiroth hisses as he spun around with jumping back kick, it looked as if a blur came off of Sephiroth due to his speed. The kick landed hitting Wesker in the chest knocking him off the building, and his fading scream is heard as he plummets to his death.

Sephiroth walked back to retrieve his coat, and the Masamune. After concealing his wing by covering it with his coat again, he sheathed the Masamune turning towards Megan still knelt by Jim's body. Sephiroth bends down, and picks Jim's body up carrying him towards Tidus' group. Megan follows behind in tears as she watch his limp arm singing freely. Sephiroth's cold expression caused shivers to travel up, and down their spines.

'Let's get out of here.' Tidus said to Sephiroth as he led them all aboard the airship now hovering next to the roof, then stepped in through a side entrance and the airship began to fly up. Flying away from the city, Sephiroth followed behind the others with Jim's corpse. Everyone on board stared with both fear, and curiosity as the tall quite warrior made his way through the corridors. They led them first to an on board morgue, and they set Jim's body in there until they were able to get back to Midgar to bury him.

Megan just sat in the room they were provided with holding her knees to her chest with her back against the wall crying. Sephiroth just stood like a statue on the deck of the airship staring ahead as the wind whipped his clothes and hair around violently. Finally, Raccoon City was out of sight and behind them. They escaped the nightmare, but lost a friend. But how would Migar welcome back the evilest man they've known? Sure he's changed, but will they see it?

Back in Raccoon City, on the hospital roof top.....

All was quiet, but suddenly a black gloved hand grabbed hold of the edge of the roof. Pulling himself up, Wesker crawled across the roof in pain then slowly got back to his feet. Looking into the sky, he spoke to himself 'This isn't over. Not by a long shot. Sephiroth, I will have you're body for my research. I will not be denied. I WILL NOT BE DENIED!!!' Wesker screamed out, before making his way towards the helicopter.
