And finally, another movie by the ever-famous Jackie Chan!

He was great in Rush Hour, and Rush Hour 2, and his other movies have been especially great as well... ^^ especially 'Who am I'...

Anyway.. I'm looking forward to this movie... although I'm not much ova fan of Jennifer Love Hewitt...

Well... is anyone else planning on seeing this?

I guess I'll go see it, just to see Jackie Chan in action again. ^_-

Legend of the Drunken Master was hiliarious! But to the point: I'm definitly going to see the Tuxedo for two reasons:

1) My dad is a huge fan of Jackie Chan.

2) I am a huge fan of Jackie Chan!

Althought Jennifer Love Hewitt will be in it (whom I hate with a strong and deep passion, by the way...) I'm pretty sure it'll be great.

I am somewhat curious about this movie. The action will no doubt be normal Jackie Chan style fighting. Him using lots of stunts to impress people. The story will be pretty easy to guess - but they basically gave that away in the previews.

As for Jennifer Love Hewitt - why does everyone hate her so much?! I guess she is just cast in the role of being a bi*%$ in a lot of her roles, but come on! I don't know. . a lot of my friends really hate her too. . am I one of the only people who like JLH?!

Oh well. . I doubt I will watch this movie in theaters, since I have not seen any movies in so long. I might watch it on DVD if I can ever remember to rent it when it comes out. . but then again, I have not rented any movies lately =) Oh well, we will see.

I am also interested in the movie, I love watching Jackie Chan and all his unique fighting styles he be doing in his movies. I also love watching Jennifer Love Hewitt (JLW), shes cool, and from the commercials, she did some pretty funny stuff that I never thought I would see.

It might not be as hilarious as Rush Hour, but a movie with a hilarious fighter, and a beautiful young lady, now you know thats a movie worth watching for me.:)

Seeing as how I liked every other Jackie Chan movie I've seen (except for Gorgeous. Man that was one asinine plot), I will definitely see this.

I don't hate Jennifer Love Hewitt (or as I like to call her, J.Lo Hewitt. Ha!), I just don't find her entertaining. The only role I ever liked her in was "Robin" in Kids Incorporated.

Yep. I only remember because she was the only kid on the show who didn't use her real name. The opening credits said her name was "Love Hewitt" and everyone called her Robin.

I remember some of the strangest things from when I was in 4th grade.

 • 2 weeks later...
^^ I finally got to see it today, (friday)
at 7:00... at the metreon...

It was hella hard to find seats, since it just came out today... there were alot of people...

Anyway... It wasn't as good as I thought it would be... but it was still pretty good. It felt kinda strange, having Jennifer Love Hewitt play as Jackie Chan's partner...

Some of the parts were confusing, and the action scenes...
some that actually looked real were pretty entertaining, but when the tuxedo did a move... it seemed so... un-Jackie Chan-ish... o_O

I'd give it a 6.7/10, although it was... pretty entertaining near the end. ^_-

I have to write a review of this movie for my high school newspaper, here is my rough draft of it...

With a two million dollar tuxedo and a sexy partner, Jackie Chan proves once again that he can not only save the world time and time again, but he can also save terrible concept and make it fun to watch. That does not mean that this movie is perfect though. There are a lot of problems with everything from the story, to the action scenes that make this a lot less entertaining than other movies like ?Rush Hour? or ?Rumble in the Bronx?.

This is ?Inspector Gadget?, only with Jackie Chan as the main character. That is not a bad thing though, but the movie doe not take full advantage of Jackie Chan?s abilities. It relies too heavily on special effects and stunt doubles, things that people are not used to watching in a Jackie Chan movie. The action scenes are really short, and do not even capture the same kind of excitement that you could find in an episode of ?Mighty Morphin? Power Rangers?. People expect to see characters falling off of buildings and risking their lives for our entertainment, but that is not the case here. The amazing powers that the tuxedo gives the wearer the ability to do nearly everything, how can people worry about a character who is has no weaknesses? Correction, the Tuxedo does not have the power to get rid of Jackie Chan?s confusing use of the English language. I keep referring to Jackie Chan by his real name rather than the name of the character he plays in the movie (Jimmy Tong), but does it really matter? He plays the same type of character in every movie anyway...

But there are other people in the movie besides him, the other lead character is Jennifer Love Hewitt, who plays the brilliant, beautiful and boring Del Blaine. Her character?s job in the film is to question everything that Jackie Chan is doing, and to say ?Good Job? when he finally saves the day (oops, I just spoiled the movie for you). She isn?t funny, and it is even worse when the movie tries to make us believe that Jennifer Love Hewitt was trained in the martial arts. Chan does not have the same chemistry with Hewitt as he does with say, a rock. The villain in this movie isn?t very memorable, so much so, in fact that I can?t even remember his name right now. He plots to take over the world by selling bottled water (don?t ask) and it is up to Chan and Hewitt to stop him.

There are still some redeeming qualities of this film, and I especially liked the scene where Chan performs at a nightclub after he knocks singer James Brown unconscious. The plot doesn?t make a lot of sense, but in this type of movie it doesn?t have to. The final act is what saves this from being a bad movie, and because of it I can look past all of the shortcomings. It needed more ?real? action, and less special effects. Jackie Chan doesn?t need a tuxedo to become a superhero, he already is one.

I agree with everything that ShyGuy said. The movie was alright, but Jennifer Love Hewitt does not mix well with Chan the way Chris Tucker, or to a lesser extant, Owen Wilson do. Its also weird seeing Chan trying to speak English, American or British, in every scene when we are usually more used to the quiet Chan. I did like some things, especially the cameo by Colin Mockery from "Who's Line is it Anyways?" Great scenes.

I have a funny story to tell about this movie.

I was going to see Sweet Home Alabam with my girl friend (yes I know you may shoot me if you want) she had already gotted a ticket when I had got there and it turned out alot of people from my class where there seeing it too. It turns out it was sold out, so I bought a ticket to The Tuxedo instead and thought i'd sneek into the movie. But instead after seeing the first scene of the movie with the deer, I stayed and watched the whole thing. And I must say it was pretty funny.

I love J Chan, I love his movies, especially his older one. I haven't seen The Tuxeudo but I think it looks like his career is going down hill. What I mean is making movies with big stars and stupid looking plots dosn't go well with me, its so far from his older works.

I saw the movie today... I found it entertaining, and sometimes pretty funny. But really, there just weren't enough Jackie Chan stunts in it. Those were the only reason I really bothered to go see it. There were at least some good car scenes.

I thought the story was pretty damn weird. There were a lot of times where it was just like... if you thought about the story, or what was going on, it really made no sense.

Personally I believe Jackie Chan's chinese subbed movies were his best. (Good old SBS) Dragon Twins was hilarious, unfortunately I cant remember the other titles of his films, but they're all good. Especially the one where he uncovers a secret Nazi research bunker with more gold in it then you can poke a stick at...

*watches people poke sticks at it*

Well I stand corrected...

*EDIT* I'm not surprised really about the stunts, what little amount he's doing is amazing seeing as he's in his late fifties, totally amazing person. When you look at the stunts he's doing now, you still cant imagine some one that age (ie your parents) doing that can you?
