Here's a great story -
I was lookin for DBZ a while back and I ended up here. Isn't that totally original? I was hooked for a while, but I've recently lost my flair of the whole message board thing. But that doesn't matter, I never made MUCH of an impact anyway. But yeah, I wanna hear the history too. Oldies, tell us !

I found Absoulte DB/Z/GT along time ago, i think before the boards existed(at least i think so). Then I joined around v2 after giving Absolute DB/Z/GT about 1000 hits. :)

Blehh.. I remember how I got here like it was the day before yesterday. I originally found www.theotaku.com searching on Yahoo! for stuff about DragonBall Z/GT. I stuck with that for a long time. I believe during that time I looked at the boards here, but they looked too confusing so I payed no to attention to them.

Then while looking through the fanart after a while, I took to the style that is Topaz. I emailed her complimenting her on her art, she returned the email thanking me, and asking me if I had AIM while leaving her screen name just incase I did. I replied back with my screen name just so she knew that if I spoke first she'd know who it was. So we became pretty good friends, a memorable one in my mind, and she happened to be a member of this board at the time. One day she asked me if I was a member, and I said "No". So she kind of walked me through it. My first EVER Otaku screen name was kind of a flop, the account didn't seem to work. So I had to re-sign as a member under a different name (which most of you remember as pyrodragon13). And I've been here ever since. I think I came in either near the middle or end of Version 1...

I remember finding this site like it happened today.

I was just looking for a message board on nineMSN search....and a link to Otakuboards popped up.

I was originally looking for more of a gaming forum, but this one looked alright....

So I joined. :D

I had been going to http://www.theotaku.com for quite a while and saw the link for Otakuboards in the top right hand corner of the layout (as far as I remember), I kept saying "I'll check it out tomorrow" and when tomorrow finally came (a month later :D) I signed up under the name The Elite DBZ (site network I used to own called that) and started to make some excellent friends here, who could actually spell and use grammar, unlike other message boards I had seen.

That was version 2 and now I'm still here on Version 6!

Am I otaku??(Looks above avatar.) Well look at that I am!! Well mine is boring. I came to theotaku.com for around 2 years just coming back checking out the dbz and digimon stuff, then one day during it was V2 or sumthin like that I saw the Forums link so I clicked it, registered as Ultra_Super_Kid_Son_Goten or sumthin like that. Then when V3 came I registered as NoodleZ. No one really got the name, never really understood it. They just thought I liked Noodles or sumthin like that but i kept the name and still I don't think anyone understands it, just because there isn't anything to understand.

I signed up around the end of v3 or beginning of v4, don't quite remember. Anywho I originally found the otaku.com while I was searching for a decent digidex. At that time the site seemed to have errors or my computer had problems opening it. I came back a while later and saw that it was a pretty good site. I then saw the Forum's link and went to it, and decided to sign up. This is the second message board that I've signed up to in the history of me being on the internet and so far this is the best one I've been too. I haven't had to change my nick name once although I have had problems getting into my account. Every time the boards would close down to upgrade or something, afterwards I wouldn't be able to access my account. I'd have to wait a few day's and then be able to get back on.

That is the boreing story of how I joined the boards.

I joined a year ago. I was already on one message board, so I decided to search for another one. I think that this was the first one that came up, so I browsed around and decided to join. The sad thing is, I still haven't even gotten 100 posts. *sigh*

My sis/bff got me into this site, she's MysticDarkElf, she kept pronouncing it Otoka boards before she could say it right, I had to tell her the right way *hehe*, at first it sounded uninteresting to me but i got on and i was hooked. I had to make the fateful transition from chat rooms to message boards and it has not been easy *falls back dramatically*. But I'm coping and I'm really glad I checked this place out.
