I read Star Wars, plain and simple. Lol. This summer, I read the whole NJO series from Vector Prime, I feel so proud. :D Yet Im going to be reading the Lord of the Rings books. And sometimes, not as much anymore, I would read a history book.

I used to spend endless hours reading. It's dropped off considerably in the last nine months. I've been spending more time with actual human people, and can't say I regret it.

But I will always love the chance to curl up with a good book.

I read a lot of articles and such, but I admit that I never seem to read more than a few books of year for recreational purposes. I'm reading this book Coney right now, and I hate it. But I'll probably finish it anyway...

I tend to read The Holy Bible alot, that's usually my reading, about at least once a day. other than that, assesment books for school, and anything else that can grab my attention.

I don't read as much as i used to, unless reading Otaku posts somehow counts (neverending novel?) :p

:blah: blah blah, yadda yadda...

heh, prolly the longest book I've ever completely read is the 4th Harry Potter book :cross:. not that I'm lazy or anything, I just haven't found an interesting book that just happens to be over half a foot thick. but yes, I do like reading, I just don't read as often as I used to.

I actually read quite a lot.

For instance, I must read the newspaper daily (it's a requirement for journalism). Of course, we have to keep up on current events, so it's a necessity.

Plus, I read a lot of epics and literary classics. Presently, I've gone over Gilgamesh again. It's very similar to Beowulf, but influenced by the pessimism of Sumarian culture. As dweebish as it sounds, I love it. There are so much underlying ideology, that it becomes fun to dive in and pick it apart.

Reading is great. Over the years, it's really helped out my own vocabulary and writing skills. As boring as it might sound, everyone should devote some time to reading. Heck, it can even be publications such as video game magazines. :box:

I can't say that I'm a book-worm, but I find that if I get a really good book I can read it very quickly. Normally I don't have time to read that much. And I pretty much only read stuff that grabs my attention and school books.

Um, I'd say that my favourite genre would be fantasy. Cause they tend to be more exciting. But if I want I can read encyclopedias (sp?) from cover to cover (if I'm bored that is). And for some strange reason I can read VERY fast if I wanted to, which is weird since English isn't my first language...

I like to read horror...and I guess really any genre, but mostly horror and fantasy.

I haven't read a book in a while though. Last book I read was a Stephen King book...I forget the title, but I will say that Mr. King is grossly overrated. lol

Anyway, I also read a lot of media stuff...news, editorials...politics, economy, a little entertainment. It's usually a good time filler (though now I tend to find myself watching more news television rather than reading actual articles).

I was thinking about buying Tom Clancy's latest book. Does anyone have any comments on it? Is it any good?

I usually have a book in my bag, near my bed oer something like that. Everynow and then I'll have a few weeks of just reading and then I won't, its hard to find a really good book for me
My favourite author is John Marsden, I should read the tommorow series again.
I really want the lard of the rings books, hopefully my mummy will buy them for me for christmas. . .

In year six and seven I used to get in trouble for reading while the teacher is talking, thats a pretty funny thing. . .

I used to read every night, usually for a couple hours... And then I found a little website known as OtakuBoards. :toothy: Heh, yeah, I used to read a lot more than I do now, but not just because of time spent on here. I'd buy more books, but I seem to always run out of money from buying video games, heheh. I will get a book from one of my brothers sometimes, though. I've already read through their entire Star Wars collection, and I've also bought a few, which makes up almost all of them. I've only read two of the New Jedi Order books, but I didn't really like the first two, so I didn't want to spend the money on any more. I've also read all of their Discworld books (by Terry Pratchet), and bought a few of my own. And, I've also read lots of other fantasy and science-fiction books that they have (the two genres that I like).

Actually, I'd be reading a book right now, in the Dragonriders of Pern series, but my oldest brother has the next one in the series, and most of his books are out in boxes in our garage... So, I can't really get to it, with the ammount of stuff in our garage. Bleh... Maybe I'll just go out and buy another Discworld book. It's been too long since I've really sat down and read a good book.

I usually like to read horror or fantasy.....though sometimes adventure stories turn out good for me aswell.

I usually read about an hour and a half each week. Not much, I know, though I really can't see how people can just sit there and read for half the day...

I absolutely love to read. It's all I do in my spare time when I'm not here or working on my new site. I always have a book nearby in case I'm bored.

I would have to sat that my favorite genre is fantasy. I love books that have to deal with things that couldn't happen. Dragons and wizards have always interested me. I'm currently reading The Eyes of Dragons by Stephen King. It's pretty good.
