I thought he was talking about paper-machiete *shrug*

On a side note - are foriegn cars just cheaper and easier to upgrade to a 'racer'?. .that always puzzled me as to why there are always hundreds more of them then American made cars. OR . maybe it's just that no one wants to screw up their beautiful American cars. . ^_^

Sheesh, they might as well have been in electric wheelchairs, as opposed to the 'souped up cars' they were driving. The fire department, Ambulance, SES (or whatever you have over there) would have been literally metres away in case something went wrong.

Fast and the furious was fake, but trust me people have been street racing alot longer than that, like my dad before who had a 400-430 horsepower 1971 Mach 1 Mustang, which he should have kept because it would be worth alot, but unfortunately sold it.

I'm sure the Fast and the Furious was a great movie(I still have to see it), but I can't stand the fact that it made Hondas so popular. Now, everyone and his brother has a Honda Civic. Real men don't zoop up moma's Honda!

Yea I know. Up in columbia all these people drive around in those little civics with their body kits and stuff, and they don't even have anything done to the engine, the best mod they have is a performance exhaust... *cough*posers*cough* There also must be a club for Eclipses because i went to the gas station and there were 5 of them that rolled into together and parked beside each other. I also dislike Mustangs nowadays mostly because everyone has one, and because all the rich kids that think they're better than everyone in my school all have them, so they've become a "prep" car cuz' most of us other guys can't afford the insurance on a brand new 2001 or 2002 Mustang GT that they have their daddies and mommies pay for it.

Yes I have been to street racing events, but honestly there is no such thing as legal street racing because then it would be just racing. I always go with my sisters boyfriend. I have participated once and it was fun, and I still don't have my license but oh well I took second in a four-way drag. I only lost by like 1 foot, but yes they are fun to go to and fun to watch oh and also the ones I go to mostly everyone has Nos and really nice engines and stuff.

Oh ya yes The Fast and The Furious was fake but all the cars were real street racers cars no movie cars involved, actually me and my friend have a picture with the 95' Mitubish Eclipse from the movie.

if your into illegal street racing, your an idiot, just go to a dragstrip, or something and drag under supervision of people who know what there doing and know what to do if you do something stupid, and also to make sure nowone gets killed.

Babygirl: Ford focus, right? My dad has one too ^.^ Very fun to drive in, when your dad has years of racing... :) We have manual, gotta love the sound of shifting, compared to automatic, cool air intake, carbon fiber hood, strut bar(s?) (no clue :P). It can rip up quite a few cars... including the cars (i think civics) that have owners that watched that fast and the furious that are between the ages of 16-20... they seem to always challenge to races.... Anyways, just my notice. Anyone else here have a ford focus? My friend wont stop saying its a bad car... though it could rip his to shreds... grrr. Anyone heard anything good or bad bout them?

EDIT: My apologies, I realise I completely neglected to say much -about- street racing... I cant say I've really been in a street race, just a 1v1 drag off the line or down the highway, so to speak. Even that pumps adrenaline through you like crazy, so I'm going to assume an actual pre-set race would do that two-fold. I, personally would never enter a street race, but watching it would be kind of cool :)
