I liked the singles from his last album (especially that one bodyrock song and the "south side" remix). I'm not so sure about his latest single, but I'll just have to wait to see if his next is good..

At first when I heard his new single and the rest of 18...I didn't really like it...but it's grown on me. I still prefer his last album, Play...in which my favorite song would be Porcelain.

[FONT=arial]heh, the only song I really hate off of Play is South Side. I like Gwen Stefani (in Tragic Kingdom anyway), but I can't stand that song for the life of me. I like pretty much everything else off of Play though. the calmer music is really soothing, good to listen to when I'm trying to rest. I got his older CD Everything Is Wrong the other day; it's okay, but I like Play better. I can't really say anything about 18, since the only song I've heard off of the album is the single. but that's next on my list ^_^. [/FONT]

And whats with him at the MTV Movie Awards, come on Eminem "I will hit a girl with glass'". Do we really care? Eminem's insults are getting quite annoying since he dosn't even know why he's making fun of Moby. I bet he has one of those wheels with celebrities pictures on them and who ever it lands on when he spins it he insults in his song. it's getting old really fast. Let it go Eminem.[/COLOR]

The more Eminem talks, the more I tune out. He's an idiot. And despite the fact that he claims to hate all the sellouts and pop icons...what is he now becoming himself? He's accepting these elements with open arms. That's hypocracy for you.[/color]

[FONT=arial]and while a lot of Moby's songs aren't the kind you could just 'shake your booty' to, he at least writes his lyrics, produces, engineers, programs, and performs his music (I had to look off the the CD jacket for all that.) and if he could've come up with something like Porcelain, he really is talented. intelligent, too, gathering information from the interviews that he's been in. I bet that's why Eminem started gettin' on Moby. I remember MTV or VH1 interviewing Moby during the whole Eminem controversy, and Moby said something about while Eminem does have the freedom of speech to write the things he does, he should take into cosideration that he's not just affecting himself, he's affecting other people. or something to that extent, I really can't remember the specifics. Eminem figured he'd go ahead and bash him, since Moby wasn't all for him. seems to be the way Eminem thinks to me; that you're either for or against him. but anywho...[/FONT]

Anyone who is not "underground" and has a large fan following is considered pop, regardless of what kind of music you make. It's not something that you can control. Calling Eminem a hypocrite is going too far.

I like some of Moby's music. I have "South Side", "Bodyrock", and "Natural Blues". Body Rock is my favorite and Natural Blues, for some odd reason, reminds me of something along the line of "O Brother, Where Art THou". It just has that whole southern feel to it. I haven't heard his new CD yet, mostly because "We are all made of stars" bored me for a while.
