Lady Asphyxia
*Sighs* Well, I never got around to correcting it. So, I'm posting it up again... Why must you judge me? Why must you judge me? My all-encompassing Elysium does not harm anybody, nor does it feed the disaffection of the human society. It was by fortune alone that I came to be, and only by fortune that I am still here. My fondness for Chimera does not concern you; I am my own person. As such, I do not care for the quips and quirks of the masses, only for the relative peace of silence. And yet, even then, I can hear the screaming in my ears. Why must you judge me? Yes, my idolatry led me to behave like a fool, but it was my choice. My decisions pointed me in that direction, and when I could see where I was ultimately leading, it was too late. I was there. I had tasted the forbidden fruit of paradise and had fallen, destined to dance to its seductive music. Calenture had caught me. But why must you judge me? It was not your problem, and the nightmare of my bliss cannot be seen be anyone but my closest confidants. Just because I am the anthropomorphism of somnambulism does not mean that I should gather all your pity. Just because I am walking inside of a dream that I cannot wake up from does not mean that I alone should be handed your compassion. But you know that. That is why you judge me. Because your mercy is not appreciated, and I, in my trance like state, do not recognize it. What is pity if it goes unnoticed? It is nothing but another human sentiment, washed away amongst all the others, swirling around together until, what used be its own pure passion, is now naught but a tainted mix of oblivion. I am not the image of purity, or of innocence. I am the image of what virtue metamorphises into. Rhapsody-like suffering. That is why you judge me. Mitch
Nicely done, except for a few spelling errors. Very well written, and thought out. I give it a 7.8/10. If you were to fix the few grammatical errors I would give it an 8/10. Keep writing, it seems you have talent!
Lady Asphyxia
Thank you. But seeing as my brain has rather quickly dissolved into mush, anything I try to change at this moment will probably end up wore than it was...
The Harlequin
Using more elaborate words is all well and good, but don't slip in contextual errors.
