NSYNC has sung a capella before, and they did a pretty darn good job at it, too. as for their looks, I don't find the whole 'pretty boy' thing very attractive, so their looks don't have anything to do with how I look at them as performers. I'm sure there are other people who like them for their talent rather than their looks also. if I didn't know any better, I'd swear you were a 10-year old. I also remember that others on the boards are supposed to respect other people's personal opinions, as long as they're not being rude about it. .
Sorry, I am not a ten year old. Really sorry to break it to you. I did let them have an opinion, I was just getting my point across more strongly. I do have respect. You don't need to be so auspicously harsh about it. As for Nsync having talent--sure they have some, but there are much better singers out in the world who could sing better than Nsyinc anyday, but they didn't get a big break into the musical scene. I find Nsync to be a rather bland group of vapidly talented individuals who have only made it 'big' because of their looks, and because they got lucky.

And yes I do have a talent, everyone does.
Contradict self much? I don't prefer N-Sync or Backstreet or any of those groups, but I say props to them. Obviously you are not a performer of any sort, otherwise you would know the kind of work it takes to put on a show. It's just as hard to dance and sing at the same time as it is to play and instrument and sing, if not more difficult physically. You go sing your favorite song at concert-performance level and jog in place, do jumping jacks, army push-ups, and kicks as you sing. Or, if you dance funk or jazz, do a full-out routine while you're doing it. If you can accomplish that, then sing the whole cd and keep the physical activity up to maximum without rest in between songs. Then clean it and do it over and over and over until it's perfect. It takes a heck of a lot of work to do what boy bands do, certain ones anyway. N'Sync is one of the better ones imo, I haven't seen enough of Backstreet or any of the others to have a valid opinion on them. Overall I don't listen to pop very much, but I do LOVE Michael Jackson. I don't care what anyone says about all his tabloid rumors, he can DANCE AND SING like no other star out there. "Beat It" is the best, man I love his stuff. Anyway, pop just means what's popular, and so sometimes I like pop, sometimes I don't. I'm pretty much open to all types of music.

DAMiEN
Pop is dead. I never listened to it. I've always been a rocker in all ranges. The Who to Linkin Park and Led Zepplin to Papa Roach. I do listen to all types of music, except most punk and all of pop. What makes me mad is Avril Lavinge! She says she's punk, playing wannabe rock(pop), and do you see what she looks like! I don't know, just something about her bugs me.

Just because you personally don't listen to it doesn't mean it's non-existant. As long as SOMEONE listens to pop, or rock, or punk, then it's not dead. DAMiEN
Well, duh! I'm not talking literally. Disco is still alive then. I meant it as it's the lowest on the boards. It's not having the big impact as it did not so long ago. If you want to talk technicals and actuals, then so be it, but over all, there's not much left unless someone new comes out which is always a possibility. They give anyone a recording album now-of-days.

But, think of me what you will. I know I can go a little overboard..but when I believe in something very strongly, I will state my opinion harshly even if it may offend someone. If you don't want my opinion, then ignore it instead of degrading me...thus ends my little speech of nothing...;)
Jesus Chicken
If anything Pop is the most popular form of music around(pun intended)Anway, Yeah, Anna is right. Pop is not dead, and she is also right about, if you want to make a point, don't contradict yourself along the way. Back to the topic, Michael Jackson and Britney Spears, ever heard of them. Shakira and like you said, Avril Levinge, there are new pop bands and artists always emerging and all that do make a appearance, make a hit single, or two, and also make quite a bit of money. Pop will never die, it will change and adapt to suit times, but it won't die. Once a music style starts, there will always be someone who listens to it, regardless what anyone thinks.
