RPG Retailate: The beggining

[Darkness]

Seth comes to the couch where Rae ans Siren are.

Seth: Siren, I need to talk with you.

Siren: Okay, but first please help with this book of yours.

Rae: Yeah, I can't make any sense out of this dumb thing.

Seth: (Touches the book) What the..... It's cloaked!

Rae: What?

Seth: I don't know why she.... well, whatever. Here give me your hand. (She does) Close your eyes and feel me.

Siren: ....Uhhhhh, you guys want me to leave?

Seth: ha....ha.... Shut up. Now concentrate.

(Rae does what he says and then looks at the book again. This time it's much easier for her.)

Rae: What did you do?

Seth: It's a soulreader trick. With this trick, you can leave the essence of confusion on an item. It is meant solely to drive mindreaders crazy. Try again, I've killed the essence.

Siren: Now what is it that you have to tell me?..........

[Lady Asphyxia]

[color=darkred]The other two went off into a different room, and Rae set to work translating the book again. [i]The passage to the east leads underneath the building, and connects with another passage, intersecting at exactly 90 degrees. The north end of the tunnel is blocked by a cave in, the south end comes out at a cliff. Step out of the tunnel in the south end, and you'll plummet down the cliff. They know of only these four entrances. The North, South, East and West. They will surround you. However, the maker of this building was known as Nairn. He would never trap himself that way. Find the passage near the hooked crutch, hidden by the silver leapod...[/i]

"Seth," Rae called. "Its hidden again."

Seth came in, looked at it for a minute, than said. "No, it isn't."

"Then this is one ****** book." was her only comment as she continued reading.[/color]

Slade sits on the end Rygar also gets the other end of course Rygar got the person free side and Slade was left slightly uncomfortable next to Celest who he has yet to trust.

Rygar: So what do you need and what info you got.

Slade: I need a bypass established for the breakin so we can let them get in but not out, the usual setup.

Rygar: I was talkin to Celest, I already figured you wanted that.

Slade: Well what I really want I cant have.

Celest: Whats that?

Rygar: Slade wants out, you see Slade is mostly a spy he never gets involved in the group. That type is called counter intellegence operative which he isn't.

Slade: Yes now I must ask something thats been in the backof mind since I got dragged into this well at least one of two things. Did Celest find or was it really just an accident? and the second question is about my last assignment to find the met of Siren and their friend. I did my part what happened with it?

Rygar: first question I dont know and second well the operation didn't go as planned it would seem.

Slade shrgs and closes his eyes

Celest: Well to speak on your question I sorta just found my way there I had no idea you where gonna be there.

Rygar: well since Slade has asked his questions and cant be pulled out hes probably not gonna be happy til its over.

Celest well id like to know what you know so far.

Rygar (lounging back): Well we know they got a book we also know what it contains. We are the ones who gave it up and it only reveals what we want them to know so dont worry.

Slade: Your forgetting the cover part.

Rygar oh yeah if they are sucessful in they're attempt you are to remain in cover and be unaffected as we have plan B's. C's, and D's.
Now we know not much outside of that and theres a Necreen in the group. Rather I dont know anything else.

Slade gets up and turns around. "I'm gonna go so we dont go back together as a group continue your talk as i've heard everything i need." Slade walks out and back towards the the others.

[Darkness]

(in the other room Seth talks with Siren, but he has decided not to say what is really on his mind)

Seth: I just wanted to check on your wound. The bandages I gave you should have sped up to healing process.

Siren: They have, but I'm not 100%. I'm close enough though.

Seth: Good. It was bugging me, so I wanted to know.

Siren: Thank you.

(He goes back to Rae.)

Rae: This has gotten way easier. Hell, I'm almost done.

Seth: Good. We have some info to share. Come into my room with me.

Rae: Okay.

(they walk to his room and he locks the door behind them.)

Rae: What's wrong?

Seth: Take my hand.

(She does this and they focus on each other, then they automatically know what the other does.)

(Talking mentally)
Rae: I understand why you didn't tell Siren, She doesn't know how to shield herself. So you think you'll have to take out Slade?

Seth: Yes. He is trying to trap us somehow. I won't do anything until right before his moment of betrayal, but I'll make sure that he doesn't hurt a single one of us. Celest, I'll leave in your hands. I'm not completely sure of what to do with her. You all know her better than I do, but believe me everything isn't right with her either. Oh, and watch it she has excellent shielding.

Rae: She a mindreader?

Seth: Yes and No. She has some power, but it's mostly borrowed. She has to recharge periodically, but I have no idea how.

Rae: This is a headache. I'll watch her, she won't know a thing.

Seth: Yes. At least we know about the cloaking devices.

Rae: True. It's the same thing that this guy used to get in the complex before, according to the book. But, we can't go exactly by this book.

Seth: Why?

Rae: It's tainted. Certain things don't connect, the style of writing becomes different in certain places, and somethings really just don't make any sense.

Seth: So it's all to make us end up in a bad place with bad plans.

Rae: You sent Slade to map out what he could right? That probably wasn't the best move. Wait! I know the complex front to back!

Seth: Yeah, it's a little gift from an old friend of mine. She is watching out for me.

Rae: Good. Get ready to show your best moves. Traitors shouldn't come out alive.

Seth: My sentiments exactly.

(They open their eyes and feel a moment of heat)

Seth: (smirking) Let's get prepared.

Slade walks back into the complex and gives them what they wanted the full 100% of the bases layout as well as the locations of the hidden thermal cameras and keycards to the lower levels and also lets them in on the special Crin security for the lowest level(aka it requires a that a Crin be there and no one else). He does leave out the part of the bio scan on the Crin to check if his bio is of high level status. He figures since they'll most likely wanna use him to open it he shouldn't tell them about that part.

Slade: The place is secured well I noticed some vents here and there but couldn't see what was there, but it may be the best way to navigate the place secretly. The thermal cams are gonna be the bigest problem on this as they see thru the cloaking devices.

As Slade finishs his briefing of the layout Celest walks in behind him and acts about as natural as can be expected knowing that Slade isn't exactly trained for infiltration of the enemy as was apparent back at the bar.

Celest: So did I miss anything of importance.

Slade: Not really since you can be given the info later I did write it down. Rae and Seth are talking telepathicly in the other room I think since I dont hear anything. Which does make me slightly uncomfortable he then quickly scans Sirens mind and doesn't find anything overly obvious just the strange action of him checking on her wound and seemingly holding something back or at least thats what Sirens thoughts were. Slade pulls back and goes and sits on the couch and tries to peice together the events with what he knows of the Necreen and starts to feel that they know about him and maybe he should devise a new strategy and see about selling himself out to keep Celest in or see about having one of the others do it. He comes up with a small plan and decides to have Celest rat him out. He gets up and walks over to Celest and puts one of his hands on her and tells her to speak privately with Siren and say she saw me in a bar with a man. She had to formulate the rest but he told her all the truth she needed to know to get by with convincing Siren. He then lets go with the last mention of treating him oddly so that it is more aparent.

Celest: Siren may I speak with you for a moment in private.

Siren: sure

They walk into a room

OOC: okay now im just trying to free up some load since im playing my new games more often and wont be posting alot. Now my goal is to phase out my character alittle so I can handle the posts when I need to.

[color=deeppink][size=1]Valentyne sighed, plopping on the bed. She sat there, thinking about the whole situation. She wondered why she was put in the position she was in...kinda like a last resort if something went wrong. [i]Hmm...something?s not quite right. I can feel it...[/i] She sat up, throwing the covers off. She grabbed one of her outfits and put it on quickly. After she was done, Valentyne stared in the mirror, grabbing some of her weapons and shoving them in the pockets of her black jacket. She put on the jacket, opening the door to see Seth and Rae...

Celest takes siren into the kitchen and sits down. then looks down at the ground.

Celest:i justed wanted to tell you something.....but i don't know how to say this...

Siren: go one...

Celest:....well.....things aren't what they seem and........and....(her eyes cloud over and she falls off the chair and starts to tremble.she starts to talk lifelessly) They're coming....Warn someone...they're coming.....They want to hurt us......They're coming! They found us out!!!

Celest starts to twitch and scream.

Celest: leave me!!!!!!

Siren: Celest...Celest...stop this!

[color=darkred]Rae, once again, retreated to the rifle range, this time moving through a side door, glad she'd found then when poking around a few days ago.

As she looked around in the small safe room, exit included, she felt a whisper in her mind, and spun around realising there was someone else there...and stared in horror.

"****..." she whispered.

The man smiled. "Raellyra. Princess. It wasn't nice of you to leave us..." She swallowed, then ran over to the Rifle Range door, whimpering as it wouldn't open. "It's locked."

"No...Cristos...please, don't take me back to them..."

Cristos smiled harshly. "You are of the Mirwell Clan. You are needed to rule." With that, he pulled out chloroform, trapping Rae, leaving her to sink to the ground, unconscious.

Celest laid on the floor in horror as siren tried to bring her to. Siren found it no use and ran out to go tell the others. While she was out celest's eyes went back to normal, she stood up and looked around to try to locate a familiar face finding none, she sat at the table, waiting, she knew they would find her, and it's easier not to run.

Celest: siren.....if you can hear me...becareful...

[Darkness]

Seth felt the backlash from all over the complex. Two intruders, one of the mind and the other physical. Then he sensed the malice of Slade's heart.

Seth: (to himself) He doesn't normally slip like this. He must want to be caught. Oh hell, what do I do? Screw it!

He runs out of his room with sword in hand. He sees Slade first.....and gives him the left hook of his life. Slade is knocked out cold.

Seth: One down, Two to go.

He runs down the corridor and sees that Celest is perfectly normal, he doesn't even pause and heads toward the rifle range. And finds nothing.

Seth: Damn it all! I was too late! I'll find you Rae, I swear it.

[Raquel]

Siren skidds into the room a split second after Seth...

Siren: What's happening? Slade has got a lump the size of an apple on the back of his skull and I can't find Rae anywhere... Oh no...

Siren moves to the center of the floor and she kneels, pressing her hands to it...

Siren: It's still warm... They haven't been gone long...

She gingerly touches her side then rubs her hands together...

Siren(under her breath): Father... Your gift is well recived... I'll use it now... But I'll never forgive you...

She glances over her shoulder at Seth

Siren: You may want to back away... This is flashy and I'm still not in control of my powers...

His eyebrows come together and he frowns... She laughs

Siren: It's my fathers legasy to me... Granted, it's diffrent from your power but I'm supprised you diden't notice it when you helped my when we first met...

She drew a necklace from her shirt, a small tube hanging from it... A nearly invisible sliver rattled as she shook it... The metal began to glow, a strange pulsing glow... She pulled up her sleeve and in a swift motion she drew her dagger and sliced her wrist open... Siren snapped the vial and let the sliver fall into the open wound... Her eyes widened and the blood reversed it's flow, streaming back into the cut... There was a flash of light and Siren was rocked backwards... Seth lowered his arm and stared at her...

Seth: Is it done?

Siren turned, her eyes filled with sadness...

Siren: It's only started...

OOC: Ok... This seems like nonsense but I was just a bit desprate... I have a plan and I coulden't resist another plot twist

Celest sits there in the kitchen waiting. She always finds herself waiting, but for what...She hears the voices in her head again and she pushes them to the side and gets up.

Celest: i'm tired of waiting, it's time for me to do something.

Celest takes out the divices she had given everyone and put it on, sll her scences went dead so no one could detect her if she didn't want them to and she started towards slade first. She knelt down beside him, and got out s sent pad and put it under his nose. Slade came to.

Celest: slade, we're in trouble, and i need your help. Can you stand?

Slade sat up and rubbed the back of his head.

Slade: yeah, i think i can.

Celest helps him up and she tells him to put on the divices she gave him. She could wait to see what happened next. Slade dissapearred from sight, the reappeared.

Celest: nice, that works as a cloaking device for the human eyes.

Slade: wow...

Then they started to walk towards the area she last saw siren. [I] once again i say becareful about everything. I know what's happening and i cna't prevent it from going on.[/I]

[Lady Asphyxia]

[color=darkred]Rae's eyes fluttered open slowly, and she looked around groggily, memory establishing where she was. The hall. It was a converted ballroom, quite lavish, and damned annoying, too. Baroque was the style of choice in this room, marble featuring greatly.

Licking her lips, Rae stood, cursing as she realised that she'd been changed. Into...[i]oh good ****![/i] she could not believe this. She'd been changed into a maroon medieval style dress. It swished as she stood up, and she glared at the damned thing.

Rae stormed to the huge doors at the end of the hall, shouting her fury to the rest of the damned clan waiting for her outside. "You're all ****ing isane!"

Her mother, a weak, waspish, and highly dumb woman, walked timidly up to her. "Raellyra, settle down. It is not seemly for you to act like this."

"So? It's [i]illegal[/i] to kidnap people!"

"Raellyra. Don't speak to your mother like that."

She glared at them for a moment, then took hold of her dress and yanked it higher so she could walk without falling over. Then she stalked back to her old bedroom, hoping that her things would still be there. Thanking her maids obssesive complusion about not touching anything, Rae flopped down on her bed, wondering how she was going to get out of [i]this[/i] damned mess.[/color]

[Darkness]

Siren staggers back and Seth catches her.

Seth: What in the.... you alright?

Siren:................

Seth:What the hell is going on around here? Oh hell.

[i](Seth sits Siren down against the wall, closes his eyes and reaches out to Rae. She is unconscious at the time, but he can locate her. She is being taken back to the Mirwell clan. His mind races in a hundred different directions and he comes to one conclusion.)[/i]

Seth: Screw the Crin for now. After this mess here is settled, I'm coming for you Rae.

[i](He turns back to Siren, who is now rising)[/i][/color]

[Raquel]

Siren shakes her head in a fruitless attempt to clear her mind...

Siren: Da.mn... I diden't think it'd hit that hard...

Seth: ... So?

Siren looks up at him with a puzzled expression on her face...

Siren: So what?

Seth: What have you gained?

Siren: An eternal pain in the azz... As for powers... I really don't know... It's diffrent for each person... My father had amazingly accurate precognitive abilities... I won't figure mine out till later... And with my luck... It'll be somthing like tea reading... Anyways... Do you know where Rae is?

[tursi]

Celest goes down the hall to find seth and siren talking about something. Siren looked a little confused and seth looked very stern. Celest smiled and felt all giddy inside, she knew they were getting fustrated, but she also knew that should couldn't wait to kick butt. She walked up to her twwo friends Salde stayed behind.

Celest: hey siren, seth. What's going on?

Seth: Rea is down.

Celest: oh really?

Siren: yeah.

Celest walks towards them.

Celest: do you need any help? I think i could help, if you let me. I know you guys don't trust me all to much though.

[Darkness]

[color=blue]Seth: Where..is.. Slade!!!!!?!?

Celest: What do you need him for?

(Seth ignores her and runs toward where he knocked out Slade)


Celest: What's his problem?

Siren: He says that Slade is a traitor. I believe him. That soulreading stuff is pretty on-point.

Celest: We gotta catch him! Seth might try to run him through!

(They run after Seth)[/color]

Celest runs after seth, she runs up beside him.

Celest: Seth! stop for a sec. won't ya.

Seth: (stops) what?

Celest: don't do this he can't be bad, he helped me out a lot. Please give him achance, (seth galres at her.) i haven't done anything wrong, seth, please stop.

Seth: No.

He runs off and leaves celest behind. She walks back over to siren.

Celest: Siren, did i really screw up big time? or is it just me.

[Raquel]

Siren closes her eyes and turns away...

Siren: I... I'm not sure... Please don't ask me to choose sides... I won't do it...

She sprints down the hall after Seth, forcing herself to keep her eyes forward... She caught up with him just as he was opening the door...

Siren: Seth... I'm coming with you...

He glances at her then nods... Siren sighed...

Siren: ... Listen... About Celest...

His body visibly stiffened and she looked down... Now wasen't the time...

Celest sits there alone. once again she is alone and waiting. She feels likee she's being watched. she looks up to see miki, who walks up and licks her face.

Celest: hey boy, what's up?

Miki barked and pulled at her pant leg. She got up and followed miki down the oppisite hall that siren and seth went down, she goes down, it was dimly lit and she hears a person breathing hard.

Celest: hello? Who's there?

Slade: it's me.

Celest: (runs over to him and looks at him, he's been hurt.) good thing the others went down the other hall. what happened? i thought you were right behind me?

Slade: i found someone following us so...i went after him, he caught me surprise.

Celest: are you hurt bad?

slade: kinda.

Celest: let me see.

Slade picks up his arm to show a large gash across his belly area.

[Darkness]

[color=blue]Seth suddenly just stops.

Seth: Come with me.

Siren: (a little confused) Okay.

[i]Seth leads her into a bathroom. He places his hand on a certain spot on the wall and a large panel opens. They are weapons nside.[/i]

Seth: This is one of my private stocks. (He picks out an extra katana and a pair of black gloves, which he puts on. Then he clamps some thin, but wide metallic armbands.)

Siren: I don't even recognize some of these.

Seth: They're from all over the known galaxy. Take your pick, we're going hunting.[/color]

[tursi]

Celest: Slade...do you think you could stand. They want to hurt you. I'll bandage you up later.

Slade: i can't, not now. we have to stay and fight.

Celest: why? why fight them, they're my friends too. (eye start to tear.)

Slade: I'm sorry celest, but we have too.

Celest looks down, and then stands up and looks and slade.

Celest: I'll go make sure you have a fighting chance. I know they'll understand once they know they you've been trying to help.

She goes to the end of the hall after leaving her weeapons with slade. She didn't want to fight, frankly she was scared for them, all of them.

[Lady Asphyxia]

[color=darkred]A mirthless smile crept over Rae's face as she slung herself out the window, letting herself free fall. It was quite a way down, but if you landed correctly, you wouldn't hurt yourself. As the ground came up to meet her, she folded herself into a ball, and landed, coming out from a roll. However, skirts weren't conducive to running away quickly. Wrinkling her nose, she started walking, skirts swishing as she did.

From there, she crept into the forest-like part, pausing when she heard a noise. Slipping her mind out, she realised this man was a flooder, there in order to stop her leaving. And of course, he was succeeding. A flooder flooded a mind-readers psyche, confusing her. If exposed to a flooder too long, Rae would go insane. Whimpering, she tried to shut off the thoughts coming from him, sinking to the ground, hunched in a little ball. [i]Seth[/i] she thought, calling out with her mind as loud as she could under the shouts coming from the flooder, [i]help me. Please[/i] "Please," she whispered to herself. "Anyone, Celest. Please."[/color]
