[Darkness]

[color=blue]....And he heard her cries.

Seth: (stopping in his tracks) ...She needs me.

Siren: Huh?

Seth: Change of plans. I'm going to help Rae. That is more important than this. Are you coming?

Siren: (thinks for a second) No. I'll do some crowd control here.

Seth: Fine. (he touches her forehead) This is so you can guard your mind.

Siren: (feeling a twinge of power) Thank you.

[i]Without saying a word, Seth runs out of the complex toward the transport station[/i]

Seth: It won't be much longer.......[/color]

[tursi]

Celest looks down the hall and she feels a release of strees on he rmind. [I] they must have stoped, but why? [/I] She didn't spend too much time thinking and ran back down the hall to slade. She looked at him, his head hung low.

Celest: slade are you sure you're ok?

Slade: yeah...

Celest: ok he's some medical supplies. (she sets down a little box.) i'll be down the hall.

She looked back worried but then kept walking. She waited at the end of the hall for them to come.

[i]Seth approaches the transport station's ticket booth[/i]

Seth: I need a ticket to Mirwell province.

Service worker: No can do! The Mirwells have closed that line down, due to the missing princess.

Seth: Well, what is the closest that you can get me?

SW: There is a transport pad about 1 mile away.

Seth: That works.(Pays the man.)

SW: The pad is number 'P 48'.

Seth: Thank you. (Heads towards the pad.)

[i]He takes the pad to the location that the worker had mentioned. He immediately feels the flooder attack, even from this distance. Rae can't possibly take much more of this.[/i]

Seth: (in a whisper) Hold on Rae-Rae, I'm coming.

[i]He reaches out with his power and runs straight for the attacker... and shows him what soulreaders can do to flooders.[/i]

Flooder: (reeling in pain) Wha....

Seth: I'm a soulreader, you're a flooder. We can do this all day or you can pull your weapon and attack me. (Seth pulls his two Katanas)

Flooder: (unsheathing his broadsword) I don't know what business you have here, but you just caused your death! (He rushes at Seth and they meet swords.)[/color]

Slade heals his wounds and stands up still a small pain running thru his body. He knows about the true nature of a wound like his but he cant treat the poison here and he cant escape without a fight, he knows that the Crin training should delay the poisons effect but not forever. He also senses the cry for help from Rae but knows that this is good for him right now since it means only Siren is left. He walks out of the hallway and sees Celest as he approaches he spots Siren also.

[Raquel]

Siren senses Slade?s presence before she saw him... The fine hair at the nape of her neck stood on end and she wondered if he knew about her change... She slowly turned and watched him coldly as he approached...

Siren: So... Do you plan to dispose of me?

Her blades were out quicker than the human eye could follow, her new speed part of the change she was undergoing... Her arms hung at her sides, the tips of her blades just touching the ground... He stopped and she saw in his eyes that he knew...

Siren: Yes... You know the truth of it don't you.... Know that it wasn?t an magic my father left for me... I got it wrong... I thought that it would only give me power... I was right... In a twisted sense of irony...


She laughs, a slightly insane sound, her eyes shining with a strange light...

Siren: Yes... My hybrid cells are mutating, altering some of my physical makeup... Toning my muscles, honing my speed and senses to the sharpness of a razors edge... It's changing me... You know the consequences of this particular piece of Crin technology... It will cause me to become a berserker, and it doesn?t take much to see the madness taking root...

She sighs and her head drops to her chest... An insane giggling starts quietly, then she throws her head back, letting out full throated laughter... It dies slowly and Celest moves away in fear... At her first movement, Siren's head snapped down... She giggled again and moved towards her...

Siren: Do I scare you? *Laughter* Good... I can smell it on you... The fear, I mean

She laughs and turns back to Slade...

Siren: But the best part? I have only one thousand, one hundred and eleven heartbeats before this power will consume me... And I will die... *More laughter* But before I go... I'm taking as many of the Crin out as I can...

[QuantumCore]

Slade unsheaths his blade and stands in a defensive stance an odd defensive stance the blade held straight out and him facing her with his side. He knows that all he needs to defeat this oponent is time and time is what both of them do not have. He also does not wish for Siren to die and thinks of a way to save himself as well as Celest and he'll worry about Siren later as he knows it will be alot longer til she dies than him. "SIREN! you do not have the strength or the wisdom to face me and you should run now before you get hurt." Siren turns to him and grins "You think you can still fight with that wound? it is you who cannot win in this battle" She unsheaths her Scimitairs and stands looking at Slade for a moment. Siren comes at Slade Slade blocks her first wave of her sword and spins outta the way leaving his sword to block her other sword and leaving her stumbling fowards. "you'll never beat me in your state" Siren looks angerly at Slade. Slade takes his openning at attacks Siren she quickly slices at him and then Slade realizes his error and takes a cut at his shoulder.

Slade: ... It would seem your better than I thought, most interesting.

Slade then motions for Celest to run while Siren is not worried about her. Slade takes out one of his dagger type weapons and goes at Siren full force their clash of blades is loud and powerful, sparks can be seen flying from the edges of each of their blades Siren brings her second blade towards Slade only to have it met by the dagger. The battle now becoming a power struggle of whose stronger Slade knows his time has grown short and that his wound wont permit him to continue like this. He quickly backs away and runs up the stairs outside of the complex, as he exits he notices Siren following as they exit Slade feels that he may have less time then he thought and speaks to Celest in his mind and tells her to come back quick he also explains the wound and the poison. Siren immediately strikes at him once she gets a chance to, he obviously blocks and takes out his energy dagger hoping to see or gain a chance to use it. As he backs away he brings his blade to his side also he has his dagger to to the other side. He knows Siren wont recognize the weapon too well in this left hand and with some luck she doesn't and attacks him with both her blades coming down at him he raises the dagger infront of him and switches it on and starts to swing his blade around towards Siren. As Sirens Scimitairs approach Slade a light and sparks are seen as her blades get cut in half but this doesn't stop the attack and Sirens blades go into Slades chest and Slades blade hits Siren bluntly in the head knocking her unconscience. Slade feels the blades in his chest and can feel the immense pain as he squints from the pain he suddenly passes out and falls to the ground almost beside Siren his dagger burnt itself out from the use. Celest Comes running towards the two laying on the ground.

[tursi]

Celest bends down to look at both of them. She can't help but start to cry.

Celest: i should've never brought you here slade. None of this would have happened. IT CAN'T END THIS WAY!

She looks at slade and siren, both in pain. She doesn't know what to do. She looks to slade for help.

Celest: Slade...please say something...please...i need to know what i can do...

Celest looks at him tears falling like mad from her eyes.

[Raquel]

Siren felt herself falling, falling through a veil of nothingness... The beserker anger left her leaving her in a clam like she had never felt before and she opened her mind's eyes, watching calmly as she plummeted into the dark abyss... She slowed her decent and a noise reached her ears... It sounded like the footsteps of a drunken giant... She listened to it for what seemed like long hours before realisation dawned on her.... It was her heartbeat, counting away the seconds of her life... The knowledge brought her fall into the void to a grinding halt... The sound of Celest crying brought her to full alert... Her eyes snapped open and, casting a wary glance at Slade, Siren climed to her feet... She smirked, the calm of the void leaving her as swiftly as it had come...

Siren: He will die before tomarrow... I'll not waste the precious moments of my life killing one thing...

She turned and sprinted from view, undoubtedly heading for the nearest Crin outpost...

[tursi]

Celest watched in horror as siren walked away.

Celest: i thought you understood me siren...I dind't think that anyone would...but then you and slade and the others came, you undersood me and helped me. But know we're against each other because of a superstition...why, why are we like this?

She looked back at slade, she leaned down next to him wondering if he would say something, she wished he would speak, he felt like he was burning. She didn't know what to do, she could try to save him, but she didn't want to hurt anyone like last time, when she killed her friend when she was very little when but a damp piece of cloth with a bit of the atidote on his head to slow down his fever.

Celest: if you can hear me.. i won't be far i need to find the others before something terrible happens...

She gets up and takes only a dagger, it'll be all she needs. She looked at the black dog she has grown to be good friends with.

Celest: miki, stay here. make sure nothing happpens around here.

She turns and runs down the hall and follows after siren, hopefully she won't be too late when she arrives, the intruders haven't been caught, and are hard to find. She needs to get every to understand.

[Darkness]

[color=blue]....at the mirwell place.....

[i]Seth and the flooder continue to fight. It seems that the flooder has an obvious height and strength advantage, but Seth doesn't seem to be breaking a sweat.[/i]

Seth: (ducks under a sword swipe) You've got to be kidding me. There is no way that you could possibly be this slow.

Flooder: (missing with another killing blow) Stand still midget!

[i]Seth is clearly annoyed. He sidesteps a stab and disarms his opponent.[/i]

Seth: (jumping back to a safe distance) I was going to kill you quickly. I tire of playing games with you flooder.

[i] The flooder suddenly keels over in pain. Seth calmly walks over to him....... and grabs his face.[/i]

Seth: Game over!

[i]The metallic armband extends to cover Seth's hand. He digs his metal claws into the skull of the flooder and begins to feed off of his power. The flooder scream is heard by no one, but Rae can feel the pure terror behind it, even in her weakened state. When Seth lets go, the flooder's face is burnt off and his eye sockets are oozing out what must have been his brain. Seth's armbands both glow with energy for awhile and then fade to normal. He retrieves his swords, sheaths them, and runs over to Rae.[/i][/color]

[Lady Asphyxia]

[color=darkred]She whimpered, rubbing her face with her hand. Seth looked at her, concerned. "Are you all right?"

"Fine...good...never better, don't know...can't...Seth" She rubbed her face again, eyes closed against the lingering pain, rocking backwards and fowards slightly. "It hurts. My mind hurts."

She started to cry, energy leaving her, and Seth sat down beside her, holding her as she tried to let out the pressure still in her mind. Actually, Seth realised as they connected again, she was anything but all right. Even as she calmed down and started to stand, he could feel the unconscious part of her mind calling to him. [i]Help me, Seth. Please. Oh god. Help me![/i] And she retreaded again as a wave of convulsions washed over her.

Whimpering, she curled herself up into the foetal position, starting to cry again.[/color]

[Darkness]

[color=blue][i]Seth cups his hands around Rae's delicate face and wipes a tear away. Then he holds her close and transfers the newly acquired energy into her. She howls with pain, and he cringes, he doesn't want to hurt her, not now. Not ever. But this is the only way for her mind to heal. [/i]

Seth: (whispering to her, rocking back and forth) It's gonna be okay. I'm here now. (to himself) And I love you.

[/color]

[Raquel]

Siren walks away from the outpost, the dead scattered around her... The fire had left her eyes and her inner clock told her that she had one hour left to live... She moved to a outdoor fosset and rinsed the blood from her skin, both Crin and human and hybrid blood mixed together, turning the fresh clean water dark with it... She rinsed it from her matted hair and clothing... She kneeled to clean her blades and caught her reflection in it's bloodied surface... She stared at it... She diden't remember this desheveled woman, her eyes burning with a depthless rage...

Siren: You've lost your soul, Siren Kojia....

She shook her head and stood, sheathing her blades and hoping onto her bike... If she could get her ship, she could find the second bottle that would enable her to live for two more days at the most... If she remembered, she would die at the end of the second day in increadable pain, then she would cease to exist... There was no known antidote but there was one thing... Before she drunk the last vial, draw her own blood and put it in a DNA sample bottle... Prehaps someone would know what to do with it... She grimly slid to a stop infront of her ship and hit the call button... A sleepy looking man awnsered..

Man: Uh... Mh... What do you want?

Siren: It's me... Gather the crew and let me in...

Man: Cap'n! Of course!

A ramp lowered and she climbed it quickly... once she got up she turned to the crew members...

Siren: From here on I go on alone... You will never see me again... Valentyne will be your captain, and I expect you to listen to her as you would me... Pack your things and go... You have thirty...

She turned away to her rooms, ignoring the protests...

[Lady Asphyxia]

[color=darkred]Rae felt the energy surge into her mind again, and she squeezed her eyes shut, hoping it would go away. Then Seth began rocking her again. She felt him whisper something into her hair, but couldn't hear it, even mentally. The buzzing was still there, despite its gradual receeding.

She could feel Seth pick her up, the rocking motions of his steps soothing her, and she calmed enough to hear what was happening. He was talking to her, whispering about how she needed to fight the pain and hurt, how Siren need her help. Slowly, she began to defeat the monster in the conscious part of her mind. She blinked, and stared at Seth. He felt the change in her immediately. "Are you all right?"

"Fine. How's everyone else?"

"They're good. But I think that Siren might need your help."

"Why?"

"She's going crazy."

"Oh. Okay." Sighing, she closed her eyes, letting herself drift back to sleep in the quiet recesses of her mind. [/color]

[Raquel]

Siren lifted the little vial, concious that it would be the final stage of her life... She set the blood sample on the table... She moved to the screen and hit the record button...

Siren: Forgive me... If you find this file, I have taken a blood sample, following my fathers orders... I now go to finish what he started... I've become stronger, faster, and more intelegent then most of the Crin... I'm going to every major outpost in the system that I can reach in two days... I'll slaughter them like the cattle they took us to be... I've got less than three minuates left to live at the moment and with this vial I'll finish the transformation and become a human weapon... I shall take revenge for the pain that they caused... Farewell...

She hit the stop button and sighed... She moved farther down the pannel and scanned the ship for life forms... The ship tested negetive except for her... She turned away from the screen and lifted the vial to her lips... She flicked off the stopper then stared at the liquid inside... Two minuates to live... She shook her head slightly and took a deep breath... With a quick motion, she tipped the vial back and it's contents down her throat... A surge of pain engulfed her and the vial dropped to the floor, shattering... She clutched her stomach and dropped to her knees in agony... A scream tore itself from her throat and she fell forward, curled in fetal position and waiting for the pain to subside...

[tursi]

Celest stopped running and slided to the floor. She couldn't stand this, a friend was dying, and her other friends don't trust her. SHe sat there and cried. She hopped something good would come of all this.

[Darkness]

[color=blue]Seth: You need to take it easy for a day. The flooder energy I gave you you will speed up the healing, but you still need at least some rest.

Rae: Later. We need to go to Siren! She's dying! I can feel it!

Seth: (thinking she's delirious) Okay. Let's go.

[i]With shakey legs Rae stumbles, but is held up by Seth. He picks her up and starts to carry her toward the teleport pad. She would normally protest, but she know that she is too weak to walk the distance on her own. Instead, she clutches on to him and seeks solace in his arms.[/i]

Seth: (reaching the pad) Where are we going?[/color]

[Lady Asphyxia]

[color=darkred]Rae thought for a minute, then decided. "The ship."

Seth nodded, and trasported them there. He'd never been to the ship before; only those completely trusted by every member were allowed there. He wasn't, and Rae knew it, but thise was an emergency. She pulled herself out of his arms, and stood shakily.

"Quickly."

Walking as fast as she could, Rae entered the ship, through the main hatch, and strode into the rooms where Siren would go. "We have to find her."

They found her in the kitcken hunched down rocking backwards and fowards. She looked up, insanity wild in her eyes, and Rae knew that it was almost too late. She bit her lip, crouched down, and looked at Siren. "Come on," she whispered, her mind starting to probe Siren's. The insanity made Rae dizzy, and she fell over, the world seeming to swirl around her. She could feel Seth trying to hold them both upright, and could see through Siren's eyes.

Rae whimpered and tried to ignore the swirling, starting to find the problems in Siren's mind. She hoped Siren wouldn't get upset. At the moment, Siren would be almost invincible if she went on a rampage. [/color]

[Raquel]

Siren stumbled into the hall, one hand pressed aginst the wall for support... She moved, gasping, towards the control room... Half way there the room spun and she put her hand out to catch herself only to find nothing there... She crashed to the ground, the pain renewing it's self with a vengence... She punched the floor in a rage, her knuckles scrapping bloody on the metal pannels... She tipped her head back and screamed...

Siren: WHY?! THIS PAIN WASEN'T PART OF THE DEAL!!!

[Darkness]

[color=blue][i]Rae stumbles into the room and begins again to help Siren past the pain. Seth does not follow. He knows that him even being in the vicinity of them will just increase the backlash. Besides that, there were two things that he knew. One, If Siren went into this "rage", there would be no way he could protect Rae and that he himself would probably die trying to stop Siren. He didn't really need that kinda situation on his hands. Next, the little energy he himself had kept from the flooder, told him that his Necreen mission was almost complete. There was only one flooder left in existance, and for some reason he was here. Seth couldn't use his abilities with the near-psycho being down the hall, so he opened himself up, and began walking down the corridor waiting for the flooder to sense him.[/i][/color]

[tursi]

Celest noticed that time has flied by, she got up to retrive her faithful pup, she turned the hall and surprisingly saw slade still there, breathing..sorta, her dog was gone, but slade was there.

Celest: what in the...?

Then she heard footsteps, she turned to face the music. she thought no one would still trust her. She looked up to see seth.

Celest: um....

She turns around but seth grabs her shoulder.

seth: what are you still doing here?

Celest: looking for my dog and some food. i figured that you don't trust me, i've done nothing wrong, but that i'd still leave in the morning.

seth just looked at her, like he was probing her mind.

Celest: um...i'll be on my way now.

[Darkness]

[color=gray][i]But "Seth" wouldn't let go.[/i]

Celest: What are you doing?

"Seth": You don't realize yet?

[i]"Seth" pulls out some small device and presses a button. The holo-image drops. Elise, still not letting go of Celest, just laughs at Celest's look of pure shock.[/i]

Elise: I'm your "source 38". You surprised?

Celest: Why? Who are you? What do you want?

Elise: That's simple. I want my Seth back. Someone has bonded with him and I want him back. We used to be so happy....... (begins to apply more pressure to her grip)...... He should still be with me, not that other girl.

Celest: (cringing from the pain) Then go find him! He's not here and I don't know where he is.

Elise: Please. I know that he doesn't trust you. So I might as well have a little fun. You ever fought a Necreen? (she pushes Celest away).

Celest: (barely catching herself) There is no reason for us to fight!

[i]Elise completely ignores her and pulls her two short swords. She hold one upright and the other cross-handed. She assumes her fighting stance.[/i]

Celest: You have no choice mind-reader. Either fight and try to live, or just stand there and die. [i]She rushes at Celest[/i][/color]

[color=blue][i]Seth walks down the corridor and his instinct leads him to the lab. He doesn't feel a human presence, but still feels the flooder. What he sees repulses him. It's the brain of the last flooder encased in some kind of clear casing.[/i]

Seth: What in the hell? I wouldn't even have done this! This must be some kind of twisted research ship. (he takes a step towards the brain) Don't worry, I'll end your suffering. (he takes another step and is knocked back violently)

Computer: Intruder in laboratory!!!!

[i]The brain is lifted by a crane into the headpiece of some strange-looking robot. The Robot raises up and extends blades from its forearms. It runs straight for Seth.[/color][/i]

[tursi]

Celest's mind was racing. she had no clue what tthis was about, but she wasn't about to die. she did a flip into the air and landed on the other side of Elise.

Celest: This is pointless!

Elise: for you maybe.

SHe charges again. Celest takes out a small dagger and thrusts it into Elise's hand. Celest was rageing mad. She pinned Elise to the wall.

Celest: WHY! WHY!

Celest was losing control of her body, not like a berserk, but more getting trapped into her emotions. SHe Slams elise again.

Celest: Why do you want to hurt us!

Elise: (backing in fear) WHat in hell are you?

Celest: (eyes clouding over) Tell me who sent you? WAs it them! Those people in my mind? Or was it some one else? Tell Me NOW!

[Darkness]

[color=gray]Elise: (with a fierce smirk) I can see that Seth didn't teach you anything useful about soulreaders.

[i]Celest grabs her head and staggers back[/i]

Elise: (walking slowly foward) You ever notice how cool Seth keeps himself as he fights? Showing no pity, allowing no remorse,[i] moving without emotion?[/i]

[i]Hearing these words, Celest knows her mistake. This is what soulreaders do; they know what you feel, hear your desperation, welcome your anger, and feed off your soul. Celest starts to clear her mind but catches a knee to the jaw in the process. Openly laughing, Elise advances once more.[/i]

Elise: Starting to figure it out? Good girl. You gave me all the time I needed. (she holds up her hand) See? All healed.

Celest: (rising to her feet) What are you?

Elise: All Necreens are hybrids. Part of me is descended from a line of Malerrisi in the south quadrant, they are known for their healing abilities.

Celest: (in a soft voice) Just mean I'll have to kill you quickly.

Elise: Try me.

Celest: (with something almost feral in her eyes) I will.[/color]

[tursi]

Celest now stands up and smiles. She pulls down her sleeve to reveal a machine like arm brace. Elise smirks.

Elise: you think a simpile thing like that can hurt me.

Celest: maybe.

Celest taps the arm brace and all her sences become dead to others.

Celest: I've gotten into your base once before undetected.

Celest relaxes.

Celest: and i'll show you how.

Celest's barriers block off any special techniques to any of the fighters. She starts to fight throwing pucnh after punch, and everyonce in a while a kick. Elise was very quick though, and studied Celest's movemments and was able to guess where every blow was going to be. Then celest did something diffrent. She backed off.

Elise: what's wrong celest? Can't take the heat?

Celest stops and stares past elise back into the corridor behind her. In all this fighting, they had moved to oppisite ends of the hall.

Elise: fight why don't ya?

Then celest heard a bark. Elise heard it to but wouldn't turn her back.

Celest: it's miki.

Elise: who in the world is miki?

Right then ELise was knock off her feet, by celest's dog. Miki was holding two metal objects. and put them at celest's feet.

Celest: these are sirens, but they were in slades body, how did you-

Elise: That stupid runt.

Celest: (with syths in her hands) I'm going to say this one more time, we can forget this, and not fight. It would make life more intersting, or we can try and finish this now and never know what happens in the end.

Elise: what does that mean.

Celest: if we fight, we're both going to die, because i'm bring you with me. or you can live and find seth, see if you can work things out. I'm not much of a fight, but i'm a damn good defender. what do you say?
