Sniglefager
Well, I don't know about Austrailia, but in the US I would guess it would come out in December or January. Of course, if it's not coming out here till Winter, don't expect to come to Austrailia for an even longer time By the way, I probably shouldn't be posting this, but I've had 100 posts in under a month. Yep, I registered December 7th, and I made this post on January 6th. Just though you folks might like to hear that! YAY! I'm so happy!:D
VP-Master
I've heard tentaviley, the release time for X-2 in the US should be around holiday time '03. I'm guessing it'll come to AUS maybe Feb-June '04. Don't quote me on that though.
Zanarkand Abes
according to a videogame magazine I read, apparently Final Fantasy Ten- Two is going to be released in America in the fall. I am not sure if this is accurate, but if any of you have information on the release date, I am in high anticipation.
GinnyLyn
As far as those three charas you showed, sage, I did a very rough translation with my katakana pages I have. Guy on left: Sano(?) Lday: (Ru)buraso/(Ru)purann/(Ru)puraso/(Ru)burann (Could be (ugh) LuAnn or some form of Ruby? Just my thoughts.) Guy on Right: Uno(?) I haven't the foggiest idea what the dashes in the guys' names mean--I don't claim to know katakana at all! :bluesweat

The most obvious would be that they're some gang (they definately look the part). Lastly (not many theories :P), I was thinking that the woman may be a summoner and the two guys; her guardians. But then I remembered that in FFX-2, machina is widely used again (as I've said) and I wondered if they'd need summoners anymore. o_O;
GinnyLyn
I thought that myself. If you look at the lady and the right guy, their clothes seem to be a lot more similar, so a conclusion I would draw is that the two have been together longer. Both males are wearing the same sort of markings on their chest stripe and their--ah--loincloth? The lady wears the same markings, just elsewhere. The two males could be brothers (the left holds guns, a machina lover, I guess, while the other seems to resemble Yojimbo, and is prolly against machina) that were brought together by the lady somehow. So perhaps they are all part of some new organization that is meant to bring machina and Summon Monsters together (though, I thought the Aeons were "banished" forever when Sin was). Just my guess.
Sniglefager
yeah, the aeons were banished, which is why Yuna uses guns in this game. I don't understand why Square seems to be going for a "strip club joint" look here. I mean, Yuna is supposed to be high profile, yet she's weraing HOT PANTS?! What the frook?! GinnyLyn
I have to agree with that. Rikku, I understand, but YUNA?! >.<; I still don't think Braska would be too pleased with that.

Sandy
The villain characters I showed you earlier are the LeBlanc Clan, rivals to the treasure hunter tribe that Yuna & co are in (the main idea is that these two(?) tribes compete to find spheres around Spira, but I don't know anything else). The LeBlanc Clan is formed by LeBlanc herself (the woman with barely no clothes), and her guerillas Uno and Sono. Got this info from... somewhere, I don't remember, but anyways... It better live up to FFX *nods* I thought the machina in FFX looked really cool, so hopefully this game may be better than its predecessor. Only thing that worries me is the.. unclothiness, yeah, but for some it's paradise.
Semjaza
FFX-2 marks the return of the job system. I forget all the details, but you can see that in some of these screens. Yuna and Rikku have obviously different clothes based on which job class they are. GinnyLyn
Who's the sorta hottie with the freaky hair? Oy, job system--I'm being dragged through that with DW7 right now...it's...ok. Eh. Heh, Yuna a White Mage and Rikku looks to be a Jester. Do you know if they can combine what they learn in seperate job classes to obtain higher classes? Or is that just a DW7 thing?
Semjaza
Well the only other regular FF to use job classes was FF5. You could learn aspects of one class and switch to another. It was never quite as in depth as in DW7 though (which has used the job system on and off since DW3). I'm not sure about the specifics on this one. Break
Woo! Job System! I loved that from FFV, and now we get it in 3D, this is going to be so cool ^_^ Tell me, what Classes will be available in FFX-2, are there less or more than in FFV? *likes Rikku jester*
conpiracymonki
The guy in the red has an odd resemblance to Auron... and he reminds me of Lulu, lol Please be direct relative of Auron, and not him...*crosses fingers*
Flash
Job system? Well, this certainly changes my view on the game, heh heh. Like Break, I loved (and still love!) the job system from FFV. I think they have yet to top it. I hope there's as much freedom as there was in FFV's system.

Unfortunatly, I'm having my doubts on that, since I think the Job System will just be a small part in FFX-2, because most of the gameplay will be directed to the task at hand (treasure hunting was it?). But I could be wrong. *bounces around on chair* Need more screenshots!

GinnyLyn
Unless they do some weird sort of time traveling, that can't be Auron, because
Auron gave up his pyrefly to give life to Tidus at the ending of FFX
and this guy doesn't have a scar over his eye. This guy reminds me of someone in FFX...but who? (Funky hair...oO)
Semjaza
He reminds me of Seymour, only because of that spikey strand of hair he has that practically touches the floor. Otherwise, he is rather simliar to Auron facially. It actually looks like the one side of his body is a robot or something. There is the obvious metal looking stuff around the one leg, but near the bottom where the red opens up, there seems to be something under it. Not to mention his one hand basically looks like a claw. Might explain the cane as well, as I think that would be a really strange weapon to choose otherwise heh.
Sandy
Okay, you wanted screenshots, so here goes: Here are Aniki and Dachi, apparently part of the Kamome-group (the treasure hunter-posse Yuna, Rikku and Paine are a part of) -and obviously Al Bhedians. And here's Master, also a part of Kamome. And here's LeBlanc and Uno, seemingly raiding the Kamome's airship Celcius. This is Shinra (FF7, anyone?), the pilot of Celcius Here's Paine, Yuna and Rikku with a bunch of Ronsos -including Khimari ! And here's our happy couple, Wakka and Lulu, who're
expecting an offspring...
This is Celcius, the airship of the Kamome-group, and is said to be the only one on the face of Spira (?). Other characters are Brother (Rikku's brother) and Buddy (Brother's buddy), but I think they are the same as Aniki and Dachi. If someone knows Japanese, s/he could maybe tell us, if the names match...? Someone wanted to know about the Classes. This far only four is known: Fighter, Gunner, Thief and Bard. Well, that's all folks -for now. ;) Hehee, it's fun to speak like I've actually played FFX...
GinnyLyn
OOoo, Master as in the blue guy that steered the Shoopuf or at least, the same species as him? Wakka and Lulu?!? *screams*
I thought for sure it would be Wakka and Rikku!!!
Mr. Mech could be a Seymour/Auron clone hybrid that got injured, so they attached metal stuff to him. :haha: Does Jester=Bard? Or should we say that Rikku is a Thief in that one piccie of her? I'm becoming quite interested in this game.

I have no idea what a Jester actually does in Relation to Final Fantasy games, but I know that Bards, Theives and Jesters are all entirely different classes. My guess by looking at that picture is that she does something with Cards... Magic tricks? Who knows.
