I think that Final Fantasy 10 was the easiest of all the Final Fantasy's. It took me about a week, when Final Fantasy 7 took me about 3 Months. Reply if you think this is true :worried:

Well I'm not exactly sure how far I am from the end... But so far I think it has been quite challenging. I had one hell of a time defeating Yunalesca. I contiueously ran out of Remedy's and Holy Waters.
But FF VII took me a good month of playing everyday. I think I will spend a lot of time getting peoples HP up now.

Sadly, I agree FFX was easy. I mean, as far as eye and ear candy, this baby takes the cake (and it's got Auron, too, heh). But for the most part, the entire thing was linear; few sidequests; and I ended up with a rare three setbacks, fight wise. One naturally being Yunalesca, one being the teethed red carpet from Bevelle, and one being just plain dumb luck on the part of some Spirits. Blehh.
I didn't even get nervous with the final bosses. 'Course, I had a super powerful Aeon *big grin* (oblivion!) and a majorly powerful Auron...but that's what you get for using your fav chara in every battle. :bluesweat

FF7 Time: Took me a month, as well, roughly.
FFX Time: A span of sixty hours, spread over two weeks (hey, I've got school, work, and some sort of life, heh).

Hmm I'm finding this game pretty easy too. Though, I must admit, I did have a hard time with Seymour Mortibody. Hmm oh well. I think the story is good at the beginning but it gets some what slow and repetitive in my opinion. And not enough chocobos!
The graphics were great, and voice acting, an excellent change (Though dubbing could've been improved, but not everything's perfect) And emotions were excellent aswell, oh well, a great game. But as I say, could be improved in terms of depth, just my opinion.

FFX was probably the second-easiest game to me, second only to IX. I had only one rough spot, when I battled Seymour Flux and the couple of bosses after it. Sin was incredibly easy to beat if you had just one celestial weapon. The mini-games are hardly challenging too. The game took me two months to beat, considering that I kept getting grounded during that period of time... FF7's record time was 20 hours, FF8--I couldn't get past Griever, FF9: 9:26, FF10: 35:06.

The Seymor battle at the top of the mountain was frustrating since you can't really skip the cutscene there and I got killed a few times, but that was where I had the most trouble. Other than that, the game was quite easy (23:06), it's really just planning out strategy carefully if you want to get through the game, even with a really low level. I didn't really like how travelling was either...you just pick a place and you basically teleport there.

..i think i have about .. 60 or maybe 100 hours on X ..

dahahahhaa... actually the real challenges in X are in the monster arena, if you think the game was too easy, do the monster arena side quest! *beats nemisis* ^____^ my party is more powerful then my magus sisters.. hehehe.. my yuna has been on every spot on the grid, and has 255 on all her stats (except luck) .. she has 99 sphere lvles now.. no reason to use.. too bad you cant give sphere lvls to other people..

I have been playing FFX long enough because I'm trying to level up my characters to fight Sin and getting their celstial weapons which I might add is way harder than any other Final Fantasy I've played all two of the: 7,8 but it's still really good

Mystic Quest evil...horrible, simply horrible. But then again, that was one of the first (I think?) games for the SNES.

Which kinda goes for FFX...it is the first FF for PS2. Plus, with all those graphics and voicings (speaking as a programmer right now, of which I'm almost am, officially school wise junk and stuff), something's bound to suffer--you can only squeeze so much onto a disk, even if it is a DVD. They could have made the game a 2-disker, no shame, and spent some of that extra space on chara development for Lulu, heh. Some more side quests. Etc. But then again, thinking over the whole game, I like it just fine right now. You can only stretch the story line (of which there was only one (possibly two) this time around, it seems, instead of the usual three or four) so far before you lose your audience completely.

I should know...FF9's seemed to drag on forever. Oy.

Although X was easy (save for some of the side quests), at least its story made sense. I mean, really, what the heck did Necron have to do with anything? Besides being the crystal Kuja mentioned maybe once...blehhh. Frankly, Necron was a tacked on boss, and a painfully obvious ripoff of Sephiroth.

FFX is way too easy, 27 hours it took me to complete it when I first bought it, I had no help or a game guide

The game lasted me 4/5 days

As a FF I think this game is pathetic
no way in hell did you "complete" the game unless you've done all the sidequests (and frankly, the monster arena quest will ad 30-40 hours all buy its self)

seph, you may have beat the game in 27 hours.. but you didn't "complete" it =P

so stop raggin on X til you experiance all of the aspects of the game

I'm playing it right now
=D
I swapped it for Tekken 4 temporarily, and according to my friend, I've done nearly half the game, and I've only played 12 hours of the game. And I'm the type of guy that took a year and a half to finish VII.

Anyway, as far as I know, Auron cool, Tidus funny, Jecht awesome, and Ifrit is better looking than ever. (well, better than the VIII goat one, anyway)

I'm on my way to the Temple of Yevon-Djose...

*plays*

Atleast it still drags you into the plot...

Yes, Auron is the BEST! Funny story--when I saw the opening FMV, I thought Auron was the bad guy. I mean, c'mon, mysterious looking guy calling a big giant bubble to destroy a city (well, that's what it looked like the first time around, :p).

But Seph's entitled to his opinion. After all, I despise FF8 and I'm sure there's someone on these boards that could argue a case for it.

One thing about Auron; why does he have his hand cradled like that? I mean, at first I thought it was broken or something...and I thought "Yeah, that's a unique idea for the character". And then I saw him use it in battle...

So is there actually a point? lol

Lol, I thought I was the only one who thought Auron was a bad guy, he's the only character from FF X I really like though, oh yeah, and Seymour as well (his japanese voice is sooooooo much better, lol, but his dubbed voice is cool too)

I thought somewhere in the game it would have explained the thing with Auron's arm, but it didn't

Fashion statement perhaps?

Personally i thought that the dame was easy, but if you decide to go off and do the side quests they can prove to be quite challenging. Like getting Wakku's and Lulu's ultimate weapons and beating the Dark Aeons (yeah i know the secret way) and beating all of the monster creations

SPOILER?
I was kinda thinking Auron was dead, or something along those lines, what with Seymour asking why he was still here, and apologising saying that he could smell the *can't remember word* of him; and Auron not going to the Farscape; and Rin saying that no man could have ever survived the wounds that Auron was dealt, and stand so quickly; and the way Auron cringed when Lord Jyscal was being sent again...

There I go talking again....Auron looks funny when he's young, lol

Maybe More Spoilers about Auron
My guess on his arm is that he busted it in the fall from Yunalesca's attack. But why the "no wear sleeve look" when he was younger? Pffft, goofiest fashion statement I've ever seen. I mean, c'mon, that's the shoulder with the nifty looking shoulder guard thingy and all (that's also the same arm that he doesn't have a glove on). Heh, I guess he learned he should probably start using it after Yunalesca messed him up.

I wanna know how he got his scar. Maybe from the Yunalesca fight as well, but how could she have used his sword against him? I guess she could have telekenised it, but it was stuck in the floor pretty hard. And if I was in Yunalesca's position, I'd finish Auron off, instead of letting the bugger wander off to bring the world's saviors. And the huge collar. Maybe there's a scar there as well that would out and out make people think he was a walking dead guy.

Any theories on the beads and the jug? He seemed happy go lucky (well, for him, anyway, as far as 25 year olds go) when traveling with Braska and Jecht, so that kills the theory of him being a drunk. :bluesweat (All this stuff I'm writing--makes it look like I hate Auron when I don't--I ADORE the guy!) He's only used it twice, as far as I can see--for the big bubble to recongize him at the beginning FMV and for his Banishing Blade attack (which had me laughing and whining at the same time when I first saw it).
