Kaiba treats him like trash all the time and he tries to steal his Grandpas Blue Eyes. at the start he atually suceeds! He does really feel sorry for him and vows to take down Pegasus. And Kaiba does ask Yugi to save him when Yugi sees the towers with the soul cards.
