Chaos
NCAA 2003 is a beaute. Played a demo for it the other day, and I was acutally impressed. I didn't see too many bugs, and that's damn good for a Xbox demo (Haha). For once, the controller's pressure-sensative mashing works, using the A button for a dive. And I tells ya, it works. The juke controlls have a very bad lag, however. Press it once, you move about half a second late. Not good for 4th down with 6 to go. Another thing that I didn't like about the controls was the lag on the Dive/Tackle button. Running straight into the Tight End and diving a second AFTER he jukes flawlessly is a -tad- enraging. The passing, though, is poetry in motion. Unbelievibly real physics, and the ability to rocket the ball or rainbow it make me wanna jump up on a table and do a victory dance. Create-A-School seems awesome, and the Season mode has some nice bonus features from what I hear. But don't take my word for it; go check this game out for yourself. RicoTranzrig
I really enjoy the sports/first-person shooter/multiplayer games for X-box. A lot of its strengths come from those. Of course, Halo is one of the reasons I'd get an X-box for if I had money right now. Co-op, Guerilla warfare, vehicles, shields, weapon variety, and now 16 players deathmatches online... Then there's Rally Sport, which I get a kick out of launching off hills and crashing into other cars, played by my three other cousins. Using my GT3 skills to beat the fastest cars in the game with a Corolla and a VW Bettle. :) > A lot of the time, when I'm playing, it almost feels like a Dreamcast. Semjaza
For me the main reason to have a Xbox is it's insane amount of emulation possibilites. Yeah, you can do it on PC too, but Xbox feels better as it goes directly to a normal TV set... I can pick up an X-Arcade stick, hook it up to my Xbox and play MAME all the time :). As for sports, I don't really play those games much outside of racers. Rallisport Challenge is an excellent game that is being clearanced out at a lot of stores. People should really look around in Target right now, they are clearancing like crazy.

Guest Morph
Yes well, XBOX is coming out with very impressive games, but wait until this christmas season, they should be coming out with a nice selection of prime games.... I recently purchased Blinx: The Time Sweeper. I must say, I'm impressed... The game is pretty flawless and there isn't any lag at all. The controls seem to work well and everything isn't SO incredibly hard... Except on Chapter 7; Everwinter... -_- Hardest Chapter in the game which I'm on. But it has a cool feature JUST for this chapter, instead of walking, Blinx slides on the ice, and instead of just standing there, he rubs his arms because he is so cold. But one thing that is annoying yet adds the difficulty, you only have 10 minutes to complete each level and destroy all of the time monsters... There isn't many per level, 17 maxium, but the levels are vast and confusing with areas that can only be accessed by using Blinxes time controlling powers. Now onto that subject, the time controls are so cool, my personal favorite control would be the Record control. I mean jeesh, you do a bunch of things for 60 seconds and then, a copy of yourself copies exactly what you just did, and lets just say you attack an enemy, the copy will attack it, and you won't lose any trash. The bosses are quite difficult in the later stages, but they are beatable. Now some of the enemies like the Combusaur[sp?] or the Water Spirit are a pain in the *** to beat... They take like 11 hits! But the thing that preplexes me the most is that the story is about three pig brothers who take over a world and capture a princess [like we haven't seen that before....] and the thing is that you don't battle them as a boss or something, they are just in your quest to steal gold and time controls and whatnot. I was dissapointed from this. Overall this game is great, and its fun for people that love games like Mario. Although at sometimes this game can get frustrating but I would recommend buying/renting it. Now um, if anyone wants more on this, IM me or something and um, I can do a more detailed one if you want... Games To Look For In XBOX Year Two: Splinter Cell Metal Gear Solid: Substinance Project Ego[name is subject to change, and it won't come out probably, this game's development is so slow!!] BC And a few others.......... Semjaza
Project Ego is now called Fable. It's obviously still coming out, but like most Molyneux projects I expect it to be overhyped and underdeliver. Black and White is a great example of that. Guest Morph
Yeah it is.... And um, since when? Because even in XOM it still calls it Project Ego in the Games of the Year, the newest issue.....

Semjaza
Originally posted by Muhgi Yeah it is.... And um, since when? Because even in XOM it still calls it Project Ego in the Games of the Year, the newest issue.....
Since when what? If you are referring to my overhyped comment then, I'll explain it more. Molyneux is well known in PC circles, mostly because of Populous... which was an admittedly original and good game (it even hit SNES). Years later, the hype for Black and White begun. He hyped it to no end (hype only rivaled for ED by Denis Dyack on GC), and I think it's basically agreed that the game never lived up to anything he said. This wasn't a first for him, or his teams. Fable is being hyped hard by him, and so is BC. I have no idea what XOM is, but of course any Xbox publication is going to list it as a best game ever. I'm not going to give in to it's hype, and based on past ezperience with Molyneux I expect it to be totally average. If it's not, then good... I'll buy it. Wouldn't be the first time a supposed killer-app Xbox title turned out to be nothing special though lol.
