Dante the Demon Slayer
That looks cool and it kinda looks like ity. I cant really tell.
Sephiroth
Yes, that is a replica of a Buster Sword, I saw it ages ago from shinraonline.net
Flash
I'm in the same boat as Seppy on this one... It's a good replica, but the real buster sword is bigger than that. :)
Kain
It's at swordsonline.com.They say it is 50 inches long.Go there and check it out yer self. It's in the fantasy category on page 11 or 12.
Desbreko
Sure, it looks cool, but can you actually use it? Or is it just something to hang on your wall? Personally, I won't buy any knives/swords that I'm not actually going to be able to use.
Break
Heh, yeah that's pretty cool. And as Flash said, the buster sword is alot bigger than that. I mean it's 400 lbs or something. Desbreko, do you have any 'useable' swords at home?
Desbreko
No, but I have a knife collection, and all of them are plenty sharp and usable! My biggest has a blade length of 9 1/2 inches, an overall length of 14 5/8 in., and a weight of 13.9 oz. It's the smallest one in this picture: Also, I always carry at least three knives with me at all times. So :p
The Harlequin
That is cool. Very cool. I'd say that even if you did have that sword, it would be pretty difficult to use, not to mention somewhat conspicious... Although, I have two katanas and a wakizashi. Along with quite a few knives, a throwing star, nunchukas, countless quarterstaves etc... I like my weapon collection. So I'd agree with Desbreko. Always carry a weapon.
zidane11
That looks really cool. I wonder how much it costs. I also have a small knife collection.
Sensei-San
I'm with um....everyone on ths one....that is definately way too small to be the Buster sword. Sure it's a great replica, but I only accept the real deal, take my dad's sarison for example, it's blunt, but the blade isn't the swords only weapon. Corey
It does look cool but it isn't the real Buster Sword, as everyone has already said. Also the materia holes would have to be way bigger.

conpiracymonki
The real Buster must be 75 inches at least, the way it's bigger than Cloud himself.. That GunBlade Revolver looks really nice, but it's only 20cm long :( The Hyperion looks nicer anyhoo
Dragonstar
:D You really can find anything on the internet, I feel a Buffy moment comin' on here... "You found the Urn of Osiris on eBay!?":D
Break
The Buster Sword is alot wider than that sword anyway.. and it's too shiny, the real deal has been used alot by Cloud so it looks scratched.. I mean, come on, they have to put the effort in if they want people to buy them.
Zidargh
I dont actually think they aimed to copy of Square. Its probably just an original sword, as most weapons in Final Fantasy are originals so its not going to be a work of art. Its very very shiny though, I like that. And I bet that sword's heavy enough as it is. Oh well.
Break
Originally posted by Zidane I dont actually think they aimed to copy of Square.
What do you mean? They did aim to copy Square, it is Buster Sword, it said on the site URL.
Zidargh
Well what I mean is, I'm sure plans were already made, if it was a REAL sword that has a historic past, then thats a magnificent sword. But it'd be quite obsessive to actually make a REAL sword out of Square as a company, unless Square paid them. Its ok at home of course ;) But either way point taken, but to find a proper blacksmith to do something with that skill is a very rare opportunity. Anyway, it may be an original with the name 'Buster Sword' posted to raise market.
Kneeko Artilles
I believe I found some proof that Square actually based all their Weapons' names and a few designs on Weapons of the past, or Weapons of Myth. Also, I visited Swordsonline, and found loads of swords from quite a few movies, the Green Destiny was up for sale!? A Replica obviously! Found this on the site:- "Lord of the Rings Sword The infamous "Lord of the Rings" sword measures 45" overall and has a high carbon spring steel blade measuring over 33" long! " Most of this site is dedicated to replicating the swords in films. Perhaps, because almost everyone in the Western World knows of the Final Fantasy series, these guys saw it and decided to make a buster sword. Well, that's my chatter over. One thing I'd like to point out about Cloud's Buster Sword, it's 9 stone right? Well, it isn't as big as Ultima Weapon, now imagine how heavy that would be!! Found it at the same place safer_cloud found the Buster Sword. Shame it doesn't look anything like Squall's Lionheart Gunblade! Merged this with the other sword thread. - Desbreko
Semjaza
It doesn't even seem to have anything do to with FF8, or any FF for that matter, in the first place lol. His last name is Leonheart, that might be why :).
zidane11
Lionheart swords are actually quite popular. It is commonly used, along with excalibur and things of that nature. It's mainly just the name. Are you sure that it's meant to be from Final Fantasy 8?

Just because something in real life shares the same name as something in a game, doesn't mean that thing has anything to do with the item in the game... "Hey, check out this new Gold Armlet I bought." "Cool! Four Linked slots, right? What's the defence rating on that Mother?" 'sides, it's Lionheart Gunblade in the game. Not sword. :P
