Play an instrument?

I play the keyboard quite a lot.. leading worship at the church youth group (if you haven't heard me say this before) and sing, too.. it was really hard at first, to sing as well as play, but I've improved massively and now I can actually improvise my playing while singing..

Worship leading can be a bit like Jamming.. all I have is a set of chords, and I just stick to those, but I never actually pre-decide what I'm going to play, so long as it's not too off-track. Sometimes, I even end up singing something different, as I don't really mind improvising a bit. If you have a worship band (which I don't) then it's far better because everyone is just sticking to the chords but improvising a LOT more than I would dare to on my own..

i play double bass, it rocks. i started playing it when i was seven (for all who have seen a double bass, you'll uderstand how diffcult that is for a 7 yr old to do) i've been playing for 9yrs and its my life, i also sing *tries not to sound like a wailing cat* and play classical guitar which are both really funky but i need to learn to read treble clef.

I agree. Playing and singing is tough. I sing in a Christian group, and I still would rather not do both. :)
Ah.. yeah... you're shaun from Nerdsy's ex-realm, yes?.. I thought so for a while, but just didn't say anything..

One note: when I say 'sing and play', I actually mean "sing and play a chord on each beat with the sustain pedal down".. on a keyboard.. I haven't got the hang of singing while playing properly..
