Siren shakes her head...

Siren: Wake up and smell the freshly spilt blood Jaudiar... Everything ceased to be sacred the moment we were embraced...

Siren laughs quietly then gives the belt the evil eye...

Siren: You know I really dislike that thing...

Siren coughs and turns...

Anima could feel his power and already began to close herself off to him, she feared her stronger kind. Her jade eyes looked up at him as she tugged her cloak closer to herself

"why did you kill them?"

"who? the humans? bewcause I was hungry you foolish child."

Anima cringed at his voice

"have you not fed before? upon humans?"

"no, I would never do that to a human."

Jaudiar muttered something uniteligable, then removed it and held it out in her palm. It vanished in a puff of dusky smoke, then she dropped her hand and turned around. She sighed with resignation and adjusted the side of her boot.

Siren: That's better. Wouldn't you say so...Athen?

Athen: Hmm? ....oh yes, quite.

Jaudiar: ...Rena better take care of that....

Siren: So that's your sister's name....

Jaudiar: Yes....she's very young...

Athen: No more than a child, yet you still let her live her own life...without you?

Jaudiar: It's best that way.

Kain looks down the street to hear metal clanking coming closer and closer.

Anima: The Sarafan!Hide!

Kain: The Sarafan!!!

Kain growls then walks into the middle of the street. He looks at the knights coming toward him. They look at Kain and unsheath their swords.Kain takes out his short sword and waits for them.

Anima: Are you crazy?!?

Kain: Crazy....i'm insane.

Kain walks towards them. They are trying to slash Kain but he dodges and blocks every move.He then stabs one of them in the heart.Kain jumps onto a nearby building. The Sarafan Knights circle the building.Kain floats down behind one of them.Kain puts his claws through the knight's back tearing out his heart.Kain throws it to the ground. He sneaks up on the other two and slices their throats.

Kain: Drink the blood child.

Anima: No...

Anima's eyes widen at the site of the blood. She bears her fangs but turns away.

((Oh my God safer you posted! J/k...where have you been?))

Anima forced this new feeling away, her fangs grew smaller as she sank to her knees in tears. Kain stood behind her.

Kain: stand up and feed, accept your fate, you're a vampire start acting like one.

Anima stayed on her knees trying to force the visions of death out of her mind. Kain grabbed her shoulder and pulled her up

Kain: Did you hear me?!

Anima: just leave me alone!

She wrenched herself from his grip, only being able to free herself from the cloak that concealed her lack of clothing. She hit the ground bare crying as she tried to cover herself from kain's eyes.

Siren and Jaudiar's eyes flashed. The sound hit their ears like before. A Nosferatu in tears. Both sprang into the darkness like gazelles, leaving Athen behind. Siren landed next to Anima silently, draping her cloak around her shoulders.

Kain: .....

Jaudiar: How could you do this to her?!? You can't force her to drink, not somebody as young as she.

Her energy rose around her, slingblade flashed blue and silver in her hand. The two stared eachother down, energy dueling for dominance. Then Jaudiar stepped back and let her essence cool down.

Kain: .....you heard what I told her.

Siren: It's a discrace. We hunt the guilty, feed on our own kills. When she is ready to hunt for herself, she will.

Kain: There's no time for that.

The younger female hissed at the elder, eyes flashing with a sense of urgency.

Siren: Do something!

Jaudiar bent down next to Anima and passed a hand in front of her face. The Nosferatu struggled for a moment, then passed into sweet oblivion. Siren bent down and picked her up. Seconds later, they had dematerialized. Jaudiar faced Kain once more, slingblade resting lightly in her fist.

Athen, wondering what caused his sudden lack of company, followed swiftly on their trail. He emerged from the shadows at Jaudiar's side, bemused look on his face.

'C'mon Jaudiar, act your age,' he playfully whispered to her ear.

Jaudiar didn't respond, the light intensified on her blade. Athen shrugged and for the first time truly recognised the figure standing before them.

'Kain I presume...' he muttered. Athen gave a sarcastic bow and walked to the side of the street, sitting on a nearby windowsill.

Ariadne walked outside, in the pouring rain. She wondered how it was still raining... it had been raining for three days...

She looked around, hesitating before taking another step...
She felt something... but what?
Ariadne looked around, not moving her head, so she would draw too much attention.

She drew out her lipstick, and looked into the golden part, trying to catch a reflection of whatever could be approaching her...

In the reflection, she saw a black figure draw closer to her. It had unusually sharp teeth...

She turned back quickly, closing her umbrella and swinging it behind her. It was gone... She stood being soaked by the rain, and glares suspiciously at the spot she had seen it.

She bent over, and picked up a small gold amulet, water dripping from her hair. She examined it, and glared into a nearby, bare tree. Ravens...

She continued back to the house.

"There were no ravens here before..." She thought to herself, growing more and more suspicious...

Raellyra appeared next to Jaudiar, watching, waiting. Kain should know he couldn't force a Nosferatu to drink. Gatheirng her surroundings, she walked over to Athen.

"What's happening?"

"Shhh..."

"Who is he?"

"Kain."

Raellyra's eyebrow rose. "Oh..."

Jaudiar: The womenfolk belong to themselves. Lovers belong to eachother. I now, in the presence of my fellow Nosferatu claim a blood bond to Siren and Anima forever and a night.

Athen: .....

Kain was livid. That she could dare to defy his will. Then again, she was Jaudiar....several spoken words echoed in his mind, untold.

"Lheuriel Emntari."

Jaudiar: 500 and more Kain...will you risk it?

Kain: ........

OOC: Thankyou everyone, for not dragging me into that elaborate farce, whatever the hell you're all up to... Anyway, sorry for joining this late. In an attempt to assuage any discord that could seed, I assure you, I will make up for it.

IC: CRACK! Life was so fragile, so pitifully weak. Lacroix twisted the inert body, so that it languished in his grasp. As if he had the man in a headlocked, bent backwards, the figure somehow stayed upright. With the arm that held the man to his body, Lacroix reached up, through the ribcage, and tore out the hapless, dangling creature's heart from beneath. Relieved of support, it fell limp. Lacroix gave it no further though, as his bootheel crushed the skull into a panorama of cerebellum and bone. The flacid, inert heart lay in his hand. He spun, and threw it against the wall. A sickening squelch, and yet another bloodstain was added to the gruesome collection. This time however, the one who had previously made the marks was the donor.

Lacroix turned, and studied the body of the vampyre he had just killed. In time, he broke off, and studied the santcum he had invaded.

The sick phosphor haze of blood invaded his mind, leaving a darkening stain. Before the bloodlust consumed him, Lacroix cleared his mind and again took in his surroundings.

Seven sided, the room languished in darkness that was no impediment to Lacroix.

Runic symbols formed a stitched tracery of ciphers and seals, wrought protections and demands. Whatever this fool had been doing when Lacroix had burst in, he had surely been spared a much worse fate. Lacroix faced the second of two exits. The first, he had entered through, the second, a sharply descending spiralled stairway. Without hesitation, he strode down it, his poise mirroring that of a panther faced off against an easily defeated rival. Yet if Lacroix was an insufferably arrogant elitist bastard, he had certainly earned the deadly skill to back it up.

The rouch carved handrails stayed untouched, as Lacroix reached the bottom. The grotesque artistry that had shaped the bottom would have caused another being to render their gorge. Lacroix stayed unfazed.

Tapestries meshed with delicately hung painting, to spin nightmare and shadow out of colour and thread. Statues reclined in carved niches, guardians seemingly poised to devour mind and soul. Cruel hooks hung from the ceiling. Bodies hung from the hooks. Head down, they dangled. Their burst ankles revealed torn bone and tendon, veins allowed free passage to the outside world. Muscles spasmed and contracted, as air traced a wildfire of pain and sensation over tautly sensitized nerves, exposed and overstressed. Arteries in the lower body stood exposed, as wrought and defined as if carved in stone. Sickly purple, they channeled a ream of black fluid down, as natural laws caused a build up of pressure, that would eventually burst bone, and thin membrane. Cerebrel tissue would unravel, strand by strand forming its own unique cry for mercy as it piled below the victim.

Lacroix gave it all no thoughth. He had seen worse. He had done worse. He had experienced worse.

Siren kneeled in the dark of her house... She never used it anymore... She looked at Anima then touched the girls neck... She frowned... Anima's eyelids fluttered... She would wake soon... Siren stood, expertly navigating the pitch-black room... She lit a candle silently then moved to her cupboards... Opening them, Siren found the herbs and powders she was looking for... She mixed them silently then returned to the half unconscious child... She felt a measure of sorrow for the pitiful creature lying prone at her feet... Siren sighed and knelt at her side and began to speak...

Siren: Well... The foul tasting and horrid smelling concoction I'm about to feed you will nourish, calm, and knock you out...

She tipped the nasty liquid down her throat and watched her swallow...

Siren: Good... You will sleep for the next few hours... or until I return...

She stood and turned into the shadows returning to Jaudiar's Energy signal... She appeared crouched on the windowsill next to Liam...

((how young do you guys thin anima is anyway...?))

*Anima let her eyelids fall, she knew she wouldn't make it back to the troupe tonight, she was going to let Gavin down, she would probably never be able to return again. this didn't bother her, maybe it was best that she start a new life, away from people. Anima slowly slipped into a long and confusing dream as dawn approached*

OOC: Out of curiousity, should I be looking to join in whatever fiasco the rest of you are engaging in, or have I the liberty of freedom for a while longer?

IC: Among the carnage stood a pedastal. Graven with time and foul usage, it pulsed with an aura of dark satisfaction. Higher than a tall man's shoulders, and broader by half, it filled the room through more than size. It carried with it a sense of presence. Ancient, forbidding, and uncannily aware. Lacroix was wise enough to be wary, though he encountered such structures before.

Rather than physically approach the pedastal, and risk unleashing its unholy potential, Lacroix reached into the inner wellspring of soul, and encountered the Eldritch Darkness that resided within him. Drawing on that limitless well, he wove constructs of shadow, forming intricate chains of ciphers and runes, entailing protections and seals to avert peril. For long moments, the only light was the strange purple glow emanating from Lacroix's eyes. Then, light flooded to the room.

A hellish, gaseous green glow snaked out from the carved pedastal. Lacroix sighed inwardly. The fool he had killed was playing with wildfire.

Eons ago, the forces of hell had nearly succeeded in entering the material world. The last remnants of the cataclysmic battle that had followed where these summoning stones. Endowed with the blood, and therefore essence, of the more powerful denizens of the lower plane, even after these centuries, they could forth the beasts they were chained in spiritual linkage with. Not however without price. Which explained the massacre that surrounded Lacroix. To enact the summoning, one would have to have a soul blighted beyond all imaginable perdition. Lacroix sighed again, and started the ritual of unbinding.

OOC: Whee, my turn.

*~*~~``

Elysian walked along, porcelain doll clutched in her arms, and humming happily to herself.

Her peace was soon disturbed by the mind-whispers running through the night air. "Hmm . . . a little fun before the night ends, Miss Edith?" She held up the porcelain doll, blindfolded, and slightly burned, to her ear, listening to words only she could hear. She giggled insanely. "What fun! Miss Edith will get a treat when we get home."

She made her way toward the group, but stopped 5 feet away from them and frowned for a moment. He was here . . .

"Aahh, a newcomer." The vampire smiled in the dim light of a streetlamp.

Elysian bristled at the tone in Kain?s voice. "Mummy told me about you . . . do you remember the songs Mummy used to sing to me?"

Kain grinned again, and Elysian felt a small shiver run down her back. "Should I have forgotten?"

Elysian trailed a hand over the streetlamp?s post, and twirled around. "Run and catch. Run and catch. The lamb is caught in the blackberry patch. She had the loveliest voice . . . before you came and ripped her throat out. Are you going to do the same to me, eh?"

Kain just smiled; the vampire visage within revealing itself in his grin.

Elysian turned away from him, as a small snort of frustration reached her ears. She grinned insanely. "Seven stars shining among the dying suns . . . I am on errantry and I greet you, old one."

"Geez. I?m not that old, am I?"

Elysian chuckled, and turned away from them both. "The moon screams as she falls . . . such a pretty fire you'd make when the sun shines . . ." Then she smiled and said no more.

((me too!))

Anima felt drowsy, she stumbled through a familiar cluster of tents and pushed into one she knew well. gavin slept soundly on his back his golden hair feathered accross his forhead. Anima crept slowly to his cotside, watching his rhythmic breathing rise and lower his chest. Anima slid her cloak and hood off climbing onto the cot stradling Gavin's chest. She watched him, wondering if she was doing the right thing, she smiled, it would satisfy her hunger. Gavin stirred underneith her. He looked up at her his blue spheres filled with confusion, Anima did the first thing that came to mind. She leaned down pressing her lips to his, imediately she felt his arms around her his eager lips pressing back. Anima pulled away knowing what she wanted now, with one swift motion she snapped his neck killing him, then drew blood from a tear in his flesh.

Anima: blood is good with a hint of lust

she mused things around her becoming faded. That's when she woke up screaming

Siren's eyes snapped open, wide with shock...in that moment, she disappeared into the shadows.... Jaudiar nodded slightly.....then bowed mockingly to Kain and took one step back, whipping her blade to the side....

Kain: .....

Jaudiar: Haustin.

In that moment, she vanished completely...eyes closed, a slight smirk playing about her featues. As soon as she had vanished, a vial rolled to the ground, a blue liquid moving around inside.
