[I] Splish, splash, splish, splash....
Silvia walked down the dark wet alley way makeing next to no noise. That made it obvious that someone was following her.
A bit edgy she walked faster...

Splish splash, splish splash... The foot steps grew louder and faster as well...

Silvia started running.

SPLISH SPLASH, SPLISHSPLASH SPLISHSPLASH...!!

The dark figure of the stalker ran around the corner to find--
Nothing.

Looking around confused for a moment the person (or thing) left. Silvia let out a big sigh of releif as she looked down at the retreating shadow.

Good thing I had enough time to hide.

Silvia was crouching on the roof of the nearby building, cluching her dagger in her right hand with a white grip. Shakeing off the goosebumps, she got up and started walking along the roof top, acting as if everything were alright and that this was just a regualer late night walk.[/I]

[Sara]

Raya slouched in the leather chair she kept in front of her computer. [i]Nobody's on...I'm so bored....[/i]

Her messenger trilled at her. [Incoming Message, from RogueChevalier.] She unconsciously sat up straighter, and leaned forward with anticipation.

[b]RogueChevalier: [/b]Hey, Des!
[b]Desdemona: [/b]Hey yourself. How are you on?--your name's not coming up.
[b]RogueChevalier: [/b]*smirks* I have my ways.
[b]Desdemona: [/b]Yeah, sure. *rolls eyes* How goes life?
[b]RogueChevalier: [/b]Mysterious as always.
[b]Desdemona: [/b]Please. Are you [i]ever[/i] going to tell me who you really are?
[b]RogueChevalier: [/b]I have, O Untrusting One. Several times. I'm a rebel government agent working on a top-secret project involving Telekinesis as a weapon of mass-destruction.
[b]Desdemona: [/b]Uh [i]Huh[/i]. And I'm the Queen of England.[b]RogueChevalier: [/b]*bows to your Highness*
[b]Desdemona: [/b]Jerk.

Raya started at a noise outside her window. Automatically typing a quick [i]brb[/i] to RC, she nearly fell out of her chair while trying to stand up. Despite this lapse in gracefulness, she was able to walk quietly to the window.

At the window, she listened for a moment. There was definitely someone out there--they may not have made another sound, but the quiet rustling of the night was devoid of its usual animal sounds...the mouse nest below the windowsill was silent, and the neighborhood birds what usually made a ruckus all evening had finally shut up.

[i]What if it's a robber...what if it's [b]not[/b]....what if it's...Oh, what the heck![/i] It was late, she was tired, and thinking things through was not one of her strong points. She flung back the curtain.

A girl stood on the roof below her window. They locked eyes for an instant.

[Domon]

[i] As Aiden walked down the crowded market looking for some good food he wondered who that person was he had seen in the alley a couple days ago. He had been going down an alley when he saw a person leaning over another person, except when he approached the person with his wings spread outwards the person fled. As he approached the other person he noticed the man was dead, he had to bite marks on his neck. "A vampire" he had thought. He was in the market looking for food because he wouldn't be going home anytime soon until he caught this vampire and slew him.[/i]

Booth owner: Would you like to buy some vegetables dear??

Aiden: Sure, i'll need some garlic, pepper, tomatoe, and this [i] he said pointing at a strange herb.[/i] I'll need 20 of those.

[i] After buying most of his supplies he set off into the night to find this vampire.[/i]

[Duo Maxwell]

[I]Kris slung her guitar case over her sholder and got off the train stepping onto the station platform. In her hurry she bumped into a stranger knocking something out of their hands. The stranger didn't notice and got on the train.
Kris picked up the object and pocketed it[/I]

[B]Kris:[/B] Somepeople should really watch where they're going, what is this thing anyway? [i]she takes the object out of her pocket, it turns out to be a small book, she opens it up but the writing isn't english. Kris puts the book in a hidden pocket of her trench coat.[/i]

[i]Kris walked along the street head down for a while, her train of thought was broken when she heard someone muttering incoherantly[/i]

[I]Shocked the person in the windoow threw the curtains back open again. Silvia jumped into the shadow of the building near by hopeing that the person in the window had not seen her clearly. Looking up Silvia saw the light of the street lamps reflect eriely on her glasses as she looked around trying to spot her.

Silvia stood still. But she was spotted all the same. Looking down she saw that her braclet was glowing. Cursing herself quietly she jumped back down into the ally way as she saw the woman reach for the phone.

What could have set off her braclet this time?! Every time it glowed it usually ment touble for her.

She started walking down the alley when she heard a scream/yell from above. She stopped dead in her tracks, pulled out her dagger instictivly, and looked back up at the window to see...[/I]

[i] After Aiden had collected his supplies he took off flying into the dark night. After flying around for about an hour Aiden's wings began to cramp so he started looking for a rooftop to land on and rest for awhile, while he was looking he saw something gimmer on a roof and then he heard a scream. "heh, got you now you bloodsucker!" As Aiden set down on the roof wher he saw the flash he saw the outline of a person. He quietly drew his sword and then he landed like a feather behind the person and bluntly said to the person.[/i]

Aiden: Alright if you take another sip of whoever's blood i'll cut you right down the middle!!

Silvia: Wha? Who the hell?? Tch!! don't have the time!!

Aiden: Hey!! oh wait you're not a vampire!!

Silvia: Gee! You're a regular Eienstien!! I heard a scream and i'm trying to figure out what is going on.

Aiden: Might be that vampire i saw.

Silvia: Vampire!!! Oh great!!

Aiden: Hey would you be able to help me?? I really need someone else to help me track down this bloodsucking menace.

Silvia: Sure. I think that scream came from that way [i] Pointing to the NorthEast[/i]

Aiden: Okay lets go!!

[i] And with that they went to go see what the scream was about.[/i]

Silvia- ... Why would someone like you trust someone like me without even asking my name, or where I'm from and without any past references??

[I]Aiden looked at Silvia for a second, confused for a moment and not sure how to answer.[/I]

Aiden- Well... Ok, fine. What's you name?

Silvia- My name is Miaka. Your's?

Aiden- Aiden. K now where you from?

Silvia- No clue.

Aiden- Your kidding right?

Silvia- Nope.

[I]What nither of them knew was that the stranger in the window was still watching all of this.

Silvia stood there looking up at Aiden without any expression on her face.

Aiden just scratches his head.[/I]

Aiden- Ok, can we go now??

Silvia- Sure, just a second. I must've dropped something over on the roof back there...

Aiden- ::A bit impatient:: I'll get it for you, hold on...

Silvia- You don't--

[I]His white wings appeared and took to the air the second time that night.

Silvia hid a grin and walked off in the opposite, checking to make sure that Aiden didn't notice. She rounded the corner and... Ran for it. Now a bit weighed down becuse of the sword.

He didn't even know what hit him... I'll be a mile away before he finds out that he's lost his sword. How does he carry this thing around?! It's so heavy!

Else were

Aiden checked around the roof top and coulden't find anything.

I should'a asked what she dropped... Hold on a sec. Am I missing something? I could swear...

That's when he realized what had happend. Angery, he flew back to find that she was gone. He asked around and no one seemed to recognize the name "Miaka".

Back with Silvia.

She was now carrying the sword on her back, hopeing to find a decent buyer for it. She rounded the corner and bumped into yet another person, this time knocking both her and the stranger over.[/I]

???- *mumbling* People should REALLY watch were they're going...

Silvia- Well this time I'm sure it wasn't my fault.

[I]Silvia looked at the stranger. She was wearing a coat and what appeared to be a guitar on her back...[/I]

[i] Aiden flew around looking for that girl. Miaka. After flying around for awhile he remebered he could find his sword easily. He muttered some ancient text words his swordmaster had taught him. After a few seconds he saw a blue flash. That was the location of his sword. As he landed he saw "Miaka" on the ground standing up and looking rather pissed.[/i]

Aiden: Ahem, do you mind giving me my sword back or do i have to zap you??

[i] With those words Aiden summoned a lighting bolt and had it strike a few feet from Miaka's feet.[/i]

Miaka: Okay here's your stupid sword. [i] Gives a defeated look as she hands it over.[/i]

????: Whoa!! you have wings!!!! Cool!!

[Duo Maxwell]

[I]As weirded out Kris was she couldn'y help but exclaim how cool it was that a person had wings it reminded her of the stories her mother used to tell her about her fathers prople.[/I]

[B]Kris:[/B] DUDE!

[i]Aiden just stared at her used to that response from a teenager.[/i]

[B]Kris:[/B] sorry man, that's just excellent an-

[i]Silvia coughed interrupting Kris' ramblings[/i]

[B]Kris:[/B] huh? oh yeah, that weird book. So its yours hey?

[i]She reached into her hidden pocket and took the book out, holding her arm outstreched toward the albino stranger[/i]

Silvia- Yes it is my book... How did you get it? I was looking everywere for it and thought that I had lost it!

Kris- A while back we bumped into each other... I looked in it and--

Silvia- You what?! Don't you have any respect for other people's proporty?! ... Sorry, over reacted a bit... Go on.

[I]Kris watched the stranger catiously for a minit and continued[/I]

Kris- I looked into it to see what it was and who it might belong to. I couldn't understand what it said though.

Silvia- 'Course you didn't understand it. I didn't at first either but when I looked in the back it had a decoder thing.

Aiden- "At First"?? Did you steal that too?!

Silvia- No. ::The answer was a bit to quick and attracted alot of suspious stares::

Silvia- Ahem, So what's your name then?

Kris- You can call me Kris.

Silvia- And I'm Miaka.

Aiden- That's a lie...

Silvia- Ah... fine. My real name is Silvia.

Kris- You know, I thought I saw a map in that book. Where's it lead to...?

Silvia- That is none of your concern.

Kris- Well if it was stollen...

[I]Silvia didn't much like the tone Kris was useing or how both Aiden and Kris blocked off the exsit's of the small street.[/I]

Silvia- I was following it to were the "X" thing is. Wanted to see what it was.

Aiden- K then, we'll help you look for it.

Kris- Yes, I believ we are intitled to a share of it.

Silvia- ::grumbling:: That's black mail...

Aiden- Yeah well you own me for the little chase a while ago.

Kris- Chase?

[I]Aiden filled Kris in on what had happend earlyer. And of his own quest with the vampire...[/I]

Under her cloak of night, she walks around the dimly street lights and looks at the people talking, an occacional vampire and such. Nothing to diffrent. She reaches out with her mind and tries to contact someone.

tursi (telepathicly = ~) ~Is anyone out there tonight? i'm looking for someone. A friend.

[I]The small group of three walked down the street. Silvia in the lead with the map, Aiden just off to the side (still not quit trusting her) and Kris to the other side. Seeming to enjoy the walk. All of a sudden they all stoped. [/I]

Silvia- Was it just me or did I hear something??

Kris- No, it was me too. It sounds like telepathy.

Aiden- Over there!

[I]Aiden pointed to the shadow of what appeared to be a tall winged something emerging from the shadows...[/I]

[Domon]

Aiden: If that is another person like me then my mouth is gonna drop!

Silvia: I think you might have found your vampire.

Tursi: AAAAHHHHH!!!! A vampire!!

??????: Sorry i'm not a vampire. I'm here to help.

Aiden: Uh well then who are you and would you mind stepping out into the light??

????: Sure.

[i] And with this the figure stepped out and showed itself.[/i]

[I]The creature that emerged was a beutiful winged horse. A black mare to be exact. Her wing's folded calmly on her back as she looked over the group.

After a little while the scilence broke as Silvia muttered something to herself.[/I]

Silvia- ::Muttering:: Why can't I ever make a good enterence like that? I alway's have'ta crash into someone... ::Normal:: How did you do that? Turning into a shadow I mean.

Tursi: [I]~It's a talent~[/I]

[color=green][i]A figure sat on the rooftop of a tall building, admiring the full moon. [/i]

Elsyan-Tilion sure looks beautiful tonight.

Tilion[i], the Elvish word they used for "moon," was sitting radiently in the night sky as it overlooked the city. The High Elf stood up and felt the wind rushing past her. Then her ears twitched. There were new tidings in the wind this night. Elsyan turned around and faced the other direction. With all the speed and grace that came to her naturally, she leapt off the roof and landed onto a lower rooftop, then onto another one until she landed on the ground. Keeping to the shadows of the buildings so she wouldn't attract any unwanted attention from the humans and citizens of the city, she hurried along towards the direction the wind came from.[/i][/color]

[tursi]

Tursi Shakes a little, then looks up at the group around her. She gives a smile, if you call it a smile.

Tursi:~listen i'm looking for a friend. Shes an elf, but thats all they told me~

Aiden: Who's they.

Tursi:~Others like me, we're in a group of the night. Nothing major, just a little fun. But still i can't seem to find an energy arua from her.~

Her eyes go from blue to black.

Silvia: wow.

Tursi's mind flares.

Tursi:~Things are coming, someone isn't helping.~

[Domon]

[i] Aiden felt like this horse wasn't a threat so he allowed his wings to flare outwards and he walked over to the horse and he spoke to it in a whisper.[/i]

Aiden: Have you ever seen any kind of people like a vampire? I'm hunting down one.

Tursi: [i] Actually i don't think i have maybe you should ask that person when she arrives.[/i]

Aiden: Okay thanks. I need as much information becuase this vampire is a major threat to the people.

[color=green][i]Elsyan hurried along through the streets when she saw a crowd of people huddled around someone lying on the ground. Elsyan stopped and pushed towards the front and saw a little boy unconcious. On his neck were two bite marks that still had blood trickling out of the holes.[/i]

Elsyan-(thinks)What could've done this?! A vampire?

[i]Soon the air became filled with sirens as two police cars and an ambulance arrived. Then she heard a hysterical person talking to them as they interrogated the witnesses of the awful act.[/i]

person-It was a monster! It came from out of nowhere and grabbed the boy and...and---

[i]Elsyan took off from the scene running at a full sprint. She had to take care of first things first. Something in her mind just told her to keep on moving, as if she was supposed to be elsewhere. Besides. The police and peramedics would take care of the little boy. She just hoped that he would be alright.

After about a mile or so, Elsyan slowed down to a walk. She then paused to listen for a while. Her ears picked up a peculiar vibration in the air, and she decided to follow it. It wasn't long before she came down an alley and found several people talking amongst themselves there. One was a black mare, another was a human who had wings, and the others seemed to look like ordinary humans. Not knowing if they were friends or not, she remained quiet for a while watching them from around the corner.[/i][/color]

[Domon]

Aiden: Everyone quiete. Hey you !! Over there by the corner. Come here.

Elsyan: Yes?

Aiden: Who are you ?

Elsyan: I'm Elsyan, the high elf.

Aiden: Oh have heard about a vam..

Elsyan: Vampire??

Aiden: Yes you sound like something bad just happened.

Elsyan: He got a youn boy. He's being transported to the hospital.

Aiden: We should all go to the hospital and see what is going on.

Everyone: right.

[Darkmoon]

Silvia- Ah hahahaha... No. Count me out. I'm not going anywere with gaurds or police or anyone that has a phone near by.

Kris- Why not?

Silvia- Have you forgotten already? I can't go there cause I happen to have gotten alot of people angery at me...

Aiden- Well how about you come with us, stay outside with someone until we come back out.

Silvia- I don't need a baby sitter. What's with you and vampires anyways?! Some guy a long time ago said that it's best if you don't go looking for trouble. Just wait till it finds you. Or something like that anyways. I prefer to NOT look for something like a vampire.

Tursi-[I]~Can we talk about this later? We've decided to go and we'll go. I'll stay outside with Silvia as someone like me would attract alot of attention in a human's undersized hospital~[/I]

[Duo Maxwell]

[B]Kris:[/B] I'll stay outside too. . .
[B]Silvia:[/B] Why? have you done something your not supposed to?
[i]Silvia was taunting Kris[/i]
[B]Kris:[/B] Well. . . not really its just that I. . .
[i]Kris didn't finish that sentence because Aiden coughed to signal their leave. Following the rest of them Kris kept her mouth shut for the rest of the way to the hospital[/i]

[i][B]Kris:[/B] That was close. . . who know's what they'd think if they knew I was part of the rebellion who tried to take over the capital. . . Those poor children, I can't stand to look. . .[/i]

[i]The group continued to walk towards the hospital sometimes a small conversation would break out but they mainly kept quiet so no one would notice the group.[/i]

Tursi trots up to Elsyan, She turns to look at tursi. Tursi's eyes went from black to violet then to brown.

Tursi: ~Eslyan, i think your the one i'm looking for, i need to talk to you later. But right now i need you to let you mind be open when you're in the boys room. I need to know what's going on in there, nd you'll know whats going on out here. I think i know who did this, but i need you're help. What do you say?~

[i]Silvia noticed that Tursi and the Elf were acting a bit strangly and were moveing off to one side. She walked up beside them.[/i]

Silvia- So... were are you guy's from?

Eslyn- I--

Aiden- We'r here.

[i]Up ahead loomed a tall and dark looking Hospital. Silvia jumped out of the way as an ambilence raced by.[/i]

Silvia- I thought that hospitals were supposed to be friendly...

Kris- It all depends on who you are now aday's...[i]Kris was talking softly to herself.[/i]

Silvia- ... Was that directed at me?

Kris- I was talking about something else.

Silvia- Oh yes... you didn't finish what you were about to say last time.

Kris- ...I--

Aiden- Weeeeell, we should be going in if we want to finish what we came here to do, so you guys (Aiden notice some of the looks that were given to him), and girls stay here and the rest of you come with me.

[Sara]

Raya swerved her bike to avoid the dog that had just run across her path. [i]Crazy moron, gonna get itself killed,[/i] she muttered to herself. [i]Just crazy.[/i]

As she reached the downtown area, she slowed...the crowds here were so thick--what the heck was going on? She came to a stop and swung off of her bike--trying to ride through all these people was insane. She walked her cycle through the crowd, heading toward the supermarket.

"Hey!" someone cried gruffly, "Watch where you're goin'!"

Raya bit her tongue to keep from retorting. "Sorry, sir."

The man she'd accidently walked into turned to look at her again, his face softening. "Eh...It's okay. People around here are so rude, you know?"

"We live in the Weirdness Capitol of the World," Raya said with a lopsided grin. "It comes with the territory."

"Ain't that the truth." The man looked at her, as though trying to figure something out. "Why are you here today, anyway? You don't look much like you'd be involved in this sort of thing."

Raya blinked. "I volunteer at the hospital. I was [i]planning[/i] to stop and buy some chips at the store," she added dryly, "but this road seems to be closed today. What's going on?"

The man looked at her incredulously. "You don't [i]know?[/i] There's a Rogue Vampire loose in the city."

In such a crazy place, people--and not-quite-people-- of every race had been gently integrated into society. Vampires, Half-angels, elves, Humans, were-beasts and any number of other creatures. Each species had their own guild and ruling council, determining which ones were valid, law-abiding citizens. Almost all vampires were decent people, feeding off animals, and rarely draining any victim to death....but there are a few bad apples in every barrel, and sometimes one would rebel against the guild and wreak havoc in the city.

Raya nearly fell over. "What?! There can't be--I mean--"

"It's true. Where do you live, if you haven't heard, anyway?"

"Eh...I don't listen to the news. It depresses me."

The man arched an eyebrow. "The news depresses you, and you work in a hospital?"

Raya bit her lip. "I manage." Then, changing the subject, "Are they sure there's a rogue? I mean--"

"There have been three people killed this past week, at night. Anf about two hours ago, a little boy was attacked, in broad daylight. It's bad business."

"Oh no...." Raya whispered. "And all these people--?"

"Practically storming town hall. The whole of downtown is in an uproar."

"But what can they possibly do? I mean, Rogues are automatically kicked out of the Guild. They can't--"

The man shook his head. "They want the guild disbanded and all vampires kicked out of the city. Like I said, bad business."

Raya was aghast. "But they can't--"

The man smiled gently. "And hopefelly, they won't. Mob rule is no good thing, and their showy Kangaroo courts hurt more than they help. Just pray that the Mayor isn't as much of a coward as most of the city thinks he is."

Raya looked lost. "Yeah..." she said softly. She looked down. "I hope so." Her eyes fell on the pocketwatch that dangled from her beltloop. "Oh, [i]dang[/i], I have to get to work!" She quickly glanced around, searching for a quick route to the hospital...but the streets were flooded with people.

The man was still watching her. "Need a ride?" he asked.

She looked up at him, suddenly nervous.

He laughed. "It's alright. I don't bit...hard. Oh, don't look at me like that. I'm headed that way, anyhow. I'll drop you and your bike off."

Raya nodded. "Thanks."

A few minutes later, she pulled her bike out of the man's pick-up, outside the hospital. There was a crowd here, but not as bad as the one by the Town Hall.

"Thanks again," she called.

"My pleasure. If you ever need help in a tight spot, look me up. Name's Harrison." He nodded to her, and roared off in his truck. People jumped out of the street at he passed.

"Well." Raya said. "I guess that's that." She made her way around to the back staff entrance, where no people would try to stop her.

Inside the building, she looked around. "Crazy. Just crazy." People were milling about, worse than she'd ever seen. "Just jump in," she told herself.

Pulling on her volunteer cap and pasting a smile on her face, she walked up to the person nearest her.

"Sir...can I help you?"

Aiden looked around and swore. "Where did all these people come from?" he muttered darkly. "This isn't a zoo. What's there to see?"

"What, indeed?"

Aiden spun around, instantly in defensive mode, and sized up his opponent--before her realized just who had spoken. A teenage girl with a candystriper outfit lookd at him strangely. He could sense she was a bit afraid of him...or at least, unsure of what to expect.

The girl sighed heavily. She looked worn out. "Is there something I can do for you?"

"I'm here to see someone."

"Anyone in particular?"

He glared at her. "As a matter of fact, yes. There was a young boy taken in here--"

The girl groaned softly. "Ye gods, not another one..."

Aiden looked daggers at her. "What was that?"

"Nothing. I'm sorry, but unless you can prove valid identification as immediate family, you can't go see him. No one can, tho' the Lord knows half the city's tried to."

Aiden let out a sigh in a frustrated hiss. "You don't understand, this is important."

Raya massaged her temples. "Look, I'm sorry, but there's really nothing I can do--"

Aiden jerked angrily, and Raya stiffened. "Sir, please, there's no need to be upset. But short of taking a hostage, there's no way for anyone to get in to see that poor kid. You said yourself that this place isn't a zoo.

[tursi]

Tursi looks at the others.

Tursi:~Something's going wrong up there. Eslyan what's going on?~

Tursi feels irrataton from her.

Tursi:~They can't see the boy........i can fix that.~

Something flares ravishly in her mind. Tursi invoulentaraly takes steps backwards winceing in pain. Neighing crazily. kris tries to get her to quiet.

Tursi: ~HE WON'T LET ME BE!~
