Dragon Warrior
Well, I've owned the movie for many, many years and I always thought it was a horror being the third movie to the trilogy of The Evil Dead and The Evil Dead 2. But it turned out to be a comedy when I finally decided to watch it. It was funny too. It's now one of my favorite movies and I watch it quite often. It was about a year or so ago when I found this out. It's not even scary. It's only rated R probably for the swearing and the fact that it may be scary to younger viewers. Oh, and there's some gore, but other parts like where he chops off his hand with the chainsaw don't even show. I definately give this movie 5 stars. For even how old it is, it's one of the best movies ever!
Semjaza
Evil Dead is one of my favorite movies ever. I know only a few people other than me that seem to love it, a lot of others just thought it was stupid. Army of Darkness was good, but really disappointing at the same time. I wouldn't have minded the comedy, as the Evil Dead 2 had some of it... But there were no scary parts, and little blood in the movie. It was more like a more violent Three Stooges with mosnters anc chainsaws. I bought the Offical Bootleg Edition of the DVD, which had deleted footage edited back in. The deleted stuff was actually cooler than what was left in. Only problem was that they didn't fix up the deleted stuff, so it looked like crap compared to the rest of the video. I'd still recommened that Book of the Dead gift set to anyone though, totally worth the pice (watch out, it's only 30 at Best Buy, some places want like up to 80 for it). Kent
i havent seen any of the movies beside army of darkness but after watching it and really liking it, theres no suprise about any sort of cult following it had developed.
zidane11
It's ok, I only watched it once though. I would give it a 7/10. Thats how I feel about it.
Dragon Warrior
Yeah. I agree Semjaza Azazel. I definately would like that as a gift. Evil Dead was pretty good and was a very good horror flick. It wasn't scary, though being an old timie movie. Now I'm bound to see Evil Dead 2 and I heard it's even better than the first. But I still like AOD the best. I don't really care if there's blood or gore in it. I just like comedy :D And Bruce Campbell rocks!

Since it's near Halloween, that is. "Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. YOU GOT THAT?!"

Dragon Warrior
Oh. Well, I live in a small town too. I just have to go to a bigger town to find something of the such. "Well hello Mr. Fancypants. Listen up, big guy, your not leaving for jack and sh*t and jack just left town."
Guest Hikaru Ichijyo
 Do my eyes deceive me? There are actually people out there that know about the cult classic Evil Dead Trilogy. I love these movies, my favorite one would have to be Evil Dead II since it was so much better then the first movie with its infamous Tree Rape scene -____-. As for Army of Darkness its a great follow up to part II rather comedical but my only gripe is that they should have left in the original ending for it instead of the one they used. Dragon Warrior
I haven't seen the outtakes yet so I don't know about the ending. Yes... the evil tree rape scene. Nasty stuff...
Guest Hikaru Ichijyo
I heard about that scene days before I bought the dvd for the first Evil Dead however it did not prepare me for that scene. Since where on this topic, which movie do you perfer the best Evil Dead 1 or Evil Dead 2 which really ties into Army of Darkness?
Dragon Warrior
Evil Dead 2 definately. Evil Dead 2 kind of has some funny parts, but not as many as Army of Darkness. Still, it kind of has the same effect in AOD as well so overall, Evil Dead 2 ties into it more.
