Guest Imsirion
uhg..... spirit/homecoming week, pep rallys, school ANYTHING makes me sick. Next week it begins, and since school started, we've already had 2 peprallys and those were incredibly stupid. I hate the diffrent days for dressing up and I hate the decorated halls and i hate stupid people running and screaming but I LOVE to rant.:therock: I think I'll wear black the whole week because school colors are maroon and grey and my class color is purple.
Well, I am not stupid and yes I have already thought about that but I can't. It would change my whole schedule and I don't want my schedule changed! I got the perfect schedule this year and I am not going to ruin it because I hate band. So that is the reason why I am not quitting until the end of the year.
Juu
hmm... lessee... I'm still in the 8th grade...so I still have a year till' high school.... Anyway, We also have spirit week at our school, except we have it for two weeks... It's going to be around the last weeks of October though.. *ahem* We have.. Pajama Day, Crazy hair day, Twin day, Swap day... (It's where everyone swaps names and class periods) an overnight... (sleepover, girls on the fourth and third floor, boys on the second and first.-_-) Paint day... (Where we paint our school's trash cans...etc) Halloween dance, and mis-match day.... (wear mis-matched clothes) It's kinda wierd... and I'm still not sure how they're going to manage swap day... @_@ It sounds hella confusing...

Juu
No... people just swap classes for one day... So we don't do any tests or anything really... They just talk to us. No important lessons for the day,... but It's still gonna be confusing...... @_@
Ryan
Juuthena, that sounds like fun, especially the "no tests" part. I wish we could do that at our school.*Goes and talks to the principal.*

Charles
Hmm, I was never too fond of Spirit Week in my school. People took it way too seriously. It was even a little frightening, lol. I remember when I was a senior, there was an uproar, because the Freshman advisor (who later was forced to resign for having sexual relations with a student) was in charge of judging the winner of the contest. Sure enough, the freshmen class won. Of course, I couldn't care less. I was the minority; barely anyone shared that sentiment. Whether they were possessed by school pride, or being plain childish, is beyond me. Anyhow, the entire class stood up and attempted to leave the pep rally early in protest, but ran into a barricade of teachers who had counted on the walk-out. The sadest part of this whole situation was that my class should have set an example or something along those lines. The festivities were supposed to be about school spirit, not winning and losing. When people start taking it that seriously, it just isn't fun anymore. It's sad. :drunk:
Genkai
well, i can't wait to see what my band director says when i see him.... yeah, maybe i shouldn't have skipped that whole band night thing. juu, i guess, uh, i just thought you looked mature......@_@
Semjaza
The gradeschool I used to go to is like 2 blocks away... At like 11 AM they marched by my house screaming. All these cars were blasting their horns. It was horrible. I might not have cared if I wasn't up til 5 AM, but too late now. So glad it's over with. Mitch
I went to the dance from 9:30-12:30 last night. It was extremly boring. I pretty much just stood around...not one girl asked me to dance. I probably could've gotten a girl to dance with me, but I'm shy. So I thought the dance was a big waste of time. I mean I got my hair looking all cool and stuff for nothing. Plus they played really crappy music except for a few songs. They played way to much rap. And rap...well...don't get me going.
Ryan
It used to be the exact same thing with me and my friends AnimeLover. But you just have to go out their and ask someone. Once that is over with you want to keep on asking people and the whole thing passes really quickly. I can't wait until our next dance.
vegeta rocker
I detest such retarded displays of stupidity. our week was similar to urs cera. twin day crazy hat day pajama day and the rest i have permanantly erased from my memory. I hate school sponsored events. they are wasted time. At pep rallies i sit on the top bleacher and read a book.

MathGuy2
We're having homecoming in a few weeks, I think. (I don't pay attention to this.) Our School Spirit days (Fridays) are weird. The idea is to wear a school spirit shirt and jeans. But a few weeks ago everyone was allowed to wear scrubs (nurse uniforms) to suppord our football team "traumatizing" the opponents. (Their mascot started with T.) Tomorrow they're letting everyone wear camouflage. If this is normal life I hesitate to think what Homecoming week will be like... Hyper
Originally posted by Cera Pajama Day: The first day of Spirit Week is always PJ Day. Most of the school--students and teachers--shows up in anything from nightgowns to bathrobes to flannels to boxers. o0 'Dress Like a Star' Day: Was our wild card day costume day this year. Appearances were made by Austin Powers, Spongebob, Ringo, Cher, and many others. Crazy Hair/Clash Day: Is probably the scariest day of the week. Anything you can possibly imagine someone doing to their hair, and some of the worst possible outfits on the face of the earth. Muse
Well,Here at my[Horrible, stinking, rotten]School,we have a student council, they choose the avents.Last year,we had: Pajama and Hot-Chocolate Day-I choose this one.Unfortunatly,We were taking a picture of all of us with our Hotchocolate in our hands,And my [Spaz]Friend dropped his and it soaked into my bottoms. So obviously,I didnt want to look like a pooped my pants,so I wore jeans the rest of the Day...Wasnt much fun,Pajama tops and Jeans dont go together well-_- And thats all I can remeber...But on wednsday,we have this"Rainbow"day thing where each grade dresses up in a diffrent color.Fifth Grade is stuck with Red...-_-I wanted the Source Of All evil colors,WHITE!Its so...plain and evil:devil:
SuruBlu
at my school homecoming is different than spirit week, spirit week is the week of the football game against our age old rivals, we do similar stuff although i dont have much school spirit
