Two elvish beings surveyed the damage. Raellyra Erienna and Nepenethe Sevenstar had arrived at the exact same time, seen the exact same thing, heard the exact same scream. Nepenthe's eyes slitted slightly. There was a scent in the air she couldn't quite place.

Rae: It smells like blood.

Nepenthe: More than that. What exactly...is going on here?

Rae: Death. Dark Angels?

Nepenthe: Why pick on the innocent?

Rae: That's the nature of things.

Nepenthe: Neo-Phalanx.

Rae: What?

Nepenthe: New Allegiance of Elves, Angels, And Men. If it had never come to be, this might not have happened.

Rae: ....what could mortals do?

Nepenthe: .......change their own destiny. By knowing the future, they can alter it. But nature always tries to assert the pattern that was meant to be, and more often then not, it succeeds.

Raellyra shifted and twitched, showing her dislike for blood. It was a necessity, true, and wouldn't change. But, Nepenthe knew, she preferred it was for a good reason.

Rae: Do you suppose that it would be over now?

Nepenthe laughed shortly.

Nepenthe: I doubt it Raellyra.

Raellyra nodded and continued watching. It was horrible. Destruction. But that was life.

As the two femae elves discussed their theories on the culprits for the destruction, they were completely oblivious to Yakkon standing beside them. Yakkon was a small green creature, no more than 18 inches high, (basically Yoda.) and is the last of his race... and ancient race that is blessed with an incredible understanding of the earth. Yakkon is easily one of the wisest and most powerful creatures alive, though you would never guess it to look at him. He wears simple clothes, and seems to rely heavily on his staff to move. He has a small green sword at his side, which is made for him alone.

Nepenthe: Curse them...

Yakkon: I wonder, miss Nepenthe, who is it that you are cursing?

The two elves both looked shocked, as they turned to their sides and saw Yakkon standing next to them, surveying the area. Indeed he did look very small, there were many breeds of dogs that dwarfed him, but yet, the two elves saw the wisdow and humbility in his eyes, the years of experience and hardships, of battles won and lost.

Nepenthe: I curse a memory. Lheuriel Emntari.

Yakkon: 500 Years...

Nepenthe: Yes. But I am far younger than you Yakkon, Child of Earth.

She bowed low, blade tipping to her forhead in old Silvern fashion.

Ariana Kojia of the Starfire Clan, better known as Siren, stood in the midst of the battle field, not far from the elves and Yakkon... Her eyes swept the destruction and she blinked slowly, her eyes showing a pain and regret dulled by long years... She turned and picked her way through the piles of corpses of men women and children... She made her way over to Yakkon, Rae and Nepenthe...

Siren: Survivors?

Her eyes narrowed and she surveyed them critically...

Siren: No... Your not from here....

She turned and gazed out over the carnage....

OOC: Ack... WB returns.... *Is put into quarantine*

Janus roasting silently in the strong oak tree watching yet another stranger hearing every thing he says'.

Janus: When will people learn you ask?

Kas: < Claming Looking Up then simply nods >

Janus: < Grinning > when there is no one left to be taunt.

Kas: < Looks down > How sad that an elf would grin at this grim sight.

Janus: << Jumps down from the tree a few feet from Kas >> True, True but if one can't grin at the past what does the future hold ?.. ???
