RPG Castlevania: Requiem of eternal Reminiscence

[color=teal][i]The nonchalant wave made Artemis feel more at ease....until the Kraken that lived in the lake reached out, grabbing Artemis around the waist and drgging him under. All Henry could do was sigh exasperatedly and shake his head.[/i]

[b]Henry:[/b]That kid....why do they always go for him?[/color]

[Deedlit]

[color=009966][i]Samantha was walking down the path, only at a much faster pace, when she heard a splash, and then a scream in the distance. The one that screamed was shouting someone's name.[/i]

Misty-Artemis! No!!!!

Samantha-Artemis? That must be Artemis Graves!

[i]Breaking into a run, Samantha ran as fast as she could. The sounds were still pretty far away, but they were getting louder as she came closer. Now she could hear splashing. The one who had been screaming Artemis' name now seemed to be relieved about something. Samantha could see a group just ahead at a lake's edge, huddled around something on the ground.[/i][/color]

[Corey]

I stood and walked over toward Carrie.

[b]Ryan-[/b] "So what is it you wanted to talk about?" She gave me a week smile and opened her mouth. Just then a
scream issued from outside. I gave her an exasperated look and we both ran outside. There was a large trail carved directly through the mud. I looked down it to see two Artrmse's fighting right inside the house. I showed Carrie and we both ran over.
Henry suddenly lobbed one of he Artemises heads off. My throat closed in the split second before the head burst into slime. I relaxed and felt a pang of self hate. I had wanted Artemis to die... again. I walked into the room, attempting to look as non-guilty as possible, and looked at the others.

[b]Ryan-[/b] "What was that?" A big splash issued from the lake and a tentacle grabbed Artemis around the waist. His eyes looked questioningly at everyone elses before the tentacle started to retract with him in it. Everyone stood there dumbfounded. Another splash echoed the lake area and Misty screamed from above, on her balchony.

[b]Misty-[/b] "Artemis!! No!!" Henry was the first to dash out. He muttered something as he walked out.

[b]Henry-[/b] "That kid....why do they always go for him?" He was followed by the others. I stood there stupidly and ran out. Another splash sounded and an inhuman scream followed. Everyone huddled around something on the ground and Henry wiped off his blade. I walked up and looked down. It was Artemis, he seemed ok.

[Talon]

[color=royal blue][i]Artemis had only time for one scream before the kraken thrust an egg down Artemis' throat, where it hatched a parasitic creature that took over Artemis' body. "Artemis" then stood still, seeing Ryan above him. The parasite made Artemis jump up to the ledge, and Ryan gasped. A huge purple scar pulsated across Artemis' bare chest, showing where the parasite was. Henry realized that he couldn't destroy the creature without destroying Artemis. And Carrie was too weak for a resurrection this soon after she'd accomplished her first one. Suddenly, an odd spirit appeared from nowhere. Misty thought it looked familiar when it shifted from its mist form.[/i]

[b]???:[/b]Attack the kraken! It controls the parasite!

[i]Henry shook his head, trying to work out who the shadow-vampire was and why he was familiar, also realizing that his bullets would have next to no effect on the scaled beast, and his electricity was useless as it would carry through to the parasite and kill Artemis. Suddenly, the vampire pulled off his cloak revealing himself to be.... Nathan Graves himself.[/i]

[b]Nathan:[/b]Contrary to what my grandson believed, I did not die. I became a vampire, bitten by my friend Alucard after I sealed his father, Dracula, into the sleep that just ended. I passed the whip to Artemis for no vampire may be a Vampire-Hunter, but a dhampile can! Artemis is such a creature, though his blood is far too diluted for him to gain anything except enhanced senses. Now I take up the whip one last time to sting the evil!

[i]Nathan snapped up the whip that lay on the ground, swinging it in his ever-awe-inspiring Circle of the Moon, chanting the latin that would give him the ultimate whip, the Morning Star Vampire Killer and swinging the deadly end at Artemis to sting the parasite. Maria just stared in awe at her former lover's splendor as he seemed to hover in the air, fighting a deadly battle with his grandson. Maria then remembered the rhyme she had learned from Richter Belmont about the heirs of the next Hunter clan.[/i]

[b]Maria:[/b][i]When evils rise from whence they came,
Graves versus Graves, rulers untamed
Shall decide the victory over their fate
Delaying the evil's return to hate.[/i]

[b]Henry:[/b]Wha....DESTROY THE KRAKEN!!!! NATHAN WILL KEEP ARTEMIS BUSY!!!![/color]

[The Harlequin]

[font=gothic][color=crimson]Henry: Electricity might not harm you directly, but we'll see how you like this.

[I]Henry showered out a blast of electricity, not at the kraken, but the lake itself. The water immediately charged, electrocuting all the life in the lake. Ths sensitive mouth of the kraken was also effecting.

With an unholy cry of pain, the kraken shot out of the water, hauling itself onto dry land. Henry just laughed.[/I]

Henry: Yeah I'll see you in hell to. Now, we either kill it, or ignore it. Either way, it's dead.[/font][/color]

[Talon]

[color=royal blue][i]Nathan and Artemis battled it out, Nathan steadily losing ground against his grandson's new wolfish abilities. But as the kraken jumped out of the lake, howling in pain and beginning to suffocate, Artemis grabbed his throat as if he were gasping for breath. The kraken was sending its airlessness into the parasite. Nathan took the chance to yell to Henry.[/i]

[b]Nathan:[/b]YOU FOOL!!!! IF THE KRAKEN STOPS BREATHING, SO DOES ARTEMIS! THE ONLY PAIN THEY DON'T SHARE IS IN THE BEAST'S BRAIN!!!!

[i]Misty suddenly got an idea. She prayed that it didn't hurt her fiancee, but she would have to try. She held her hands aloft as Henry realized he could shoot the beast in its eyes...[/i][/color]

OOC: Sorry people, had lots of WB on this post and I finally got an idea...it's kinda short but still, it'll get it done though...

[i]Ah, yes, it will work![/i] Misty thought, grabbing her katana. [i]Just a quick, swift strike to the head may cut off the connection.[/i]
Walking to the kraken slowly, she prayed that it wouldn't hurt her beloved. Rising her katana in the air, she prayed silently again and brought it down, slashing the brain.

[color=royal blue][i]Artemis collapsed, a squid-like parasite launching from his throat and shrivelling into ash as it contacted the ground. Henry sat down, muttering angrily as the Kraken in the lake squealed and thrashed in pain. Artemis retched again, this time hurling blood across the lakeshore. As he moaned in pain, grabbing the hem of his fiancee's cloak as she bent down over him. Suddenly, a boat appeared on the lake as Artemis turned and realized he was bleeding profusely from his chest and throat, but he'd live. He heard Henry and Percival gasp as they saw who was in the boat as it touched the shore. Charon, the boatkeeper, Alucard, Dracula's once-benevolent son, and....

Nadine Graves climbed out of the boat, beckoning to her own son to join her.[/i]

[b]Nadine:[/b]My son, Artemis. Join me. It is not so bad as it seems to be a vampire. Oh, truly, the good lord Dracula has promised to give you everlasting life if you would only come back to me.

[b]Artemis:[/b]You...are...no..t....my.....mo...ther....

[i]He collapsed into unconsciousness as his mother and Alucard again shrugged off and disappeared, moving back to the castle in a shroud of mist. Charon remained to take them to Castlevania when they were ready...[/i][/color]
