what do you think?

is there anybody in here who knows what Im talking about.

music and bands that would other wise be perfect if those darn fans did exist.

there are plenty of these bands in my opinion, but Im not going to get into the ones I feel this way about because Im pretty much to only guy on the boards who likes the music I do.

point is, do you know any bands like this?

do you feel the same way about this stuff as me?
or am I all alone?

well name some of these bands if your down with the subject.

and describe those horrible fans that ruin what ever music it is.

I'd have to say all bands and all music artists would be good if they didn't have so many rabid fans. Even NSync would have been a decent group if it weren't for the rabid 12 year old fans they had, and if they weren't advertising sex to them all the time. 2Gether parodied that fact really well.

But who would I say has the worst fans? The late Elvis Presley.
The man released a few good songs and he was the most famous caucasian person to play Rock-n-Roll, but the sad truth is that he's dead. He's always been dead. Some of his fans had a hard time grasping that fact. Added to that, there's way too many people out there dressed as him. It's been going on for decades and it just doesn't make any sense.

He had some good songs and he was a good musician. It's just some of his fans I don't like.

well, I'd like DBZ a bit more if it wasn't for the stupid 'know-it-all' fans at school that have their heads so far up their.......um, off-subject....

I can't think of any bands at the top of my head that I'd like more if the fans were out of the picture, but I hate it when people say they like certain artists just to try to look cool and get approval and to.......I dunno, make themselves look smart:nope:. example: somebody I know likes this dude and started talking to him about music one day. he said he liked Moby, and she automatically said 'Oh, me too!', even though she'd heard nothing but that godforsaken South Side song. so when he asked her what she thought of the CD, she just kinda went '......uh......'. I'm sorry, but that just aggravates me to no end. but ANYways....

Yeah, 2Gether was funny. The reason MTV got rid of that show was because one of them died. The one who played QT (the sickly one who might die) actually died in real life of a certain illness.

I forgot about No Doubt's fans. "Hey Baby" was a good song until every last person I passed by kept singing the chorus. And not even the entire chorus. They'd just say "Hey baby, hey baby, hey!" over and over and over! Doesn't anyone bother learning verses anymore?! AHH!!

*ahem*
So... yeah.

I never quite understood female fans of boy bands or some of the more popular groups like the Beatles... The type that wait in line to see them, make elaborate posterboard signs and scream their lungs out until they faint.

I can't say I hate anybody over something like this though.

well, its good to see people feel the same way as me, although I must admit that these are not the same bands I was thinking about.

actually all the boy bands are in another thread for me, its the one about music we hate. but you guys are allowed to like the boy bands if you want.

with this in mind, does anybody listen to music that is actually played with instruments?

well atleast thats a start.

I will have to be honest and say that Im probally not hip to the new stuff. infact, I really dislike all this new age "crap" where nobody plays an actual instrument.

oh well, I never really cared about fitting in.
I'd rather have the things I like, like "good music".

hey now, there's different kinds of new age music. and yes, in a lot of it they use actual instruments, lol. I actually don't know of anyone else who ever listens to it, let alone likes it, now that you bring up new age's popularity (or lack of it, I should say). it just depends on which artists you listen to, I guess. some are really dumb, some are really good. I guess new age is just one of those genres you either really like or really hate...
