Genkai
we had the videos in 4th and 5th, sex ed. in 6th, and stuff about drugs in 7th. next year is like, excercise or something. how to stay fit or wahteever... there's a sex ed. break between 6th and 10th grade.. then in thenth grade your sitting there putting a condom on a wooden dildo after 4 years of being unfamiliar with sex besides the man show, lol. yeah, it's pretty screwed up. Ryan
Man, we have all the drug stuff starting in 1st grade. And in 2nd we have to learn how to type perfectly. Well it helps, because I made a school record in 5th of speed typing, making 108 words in one minute. It helps.
Genkai
108 words per minute??? we learn to type real good in 6th, i can only get 70.... lol yeah, drugs span throughout all the schools, ut i was just saying that's the "health" section in 8th grade.. still, sex ed in 9th?? it's not like we start puberty when we're 15... sheesh. by then some of us(mainly two of my most.. weirdly friends) would be killing yourselves in fright.. it's better to learn early. we did in 4th grade... lol, that's probably why half of my friends' conversations involve sex... anyway, our sex ed. teacher was really funny, though strangely eccentric.. she was, and still is, very cool. she's my homeroom teacher this year... shes kewl. she's also doing the african american celebration.. an d im in it, though i m not black..O.o she's cool. That isn't until 9th grade for some reason. We have the puberty video and class in 6th but no sex ed. class. I personally think it should be in 7th grade, the beginning of junior high.
I had to watch this stupid play called "Nightmare on Puberty St." It was scary...
Genkai
"nightmare on pubert st."? O.o the fourth frade videos were really to stop us laughing wehn someone said sex, but that was unsuccesful. the 5th grade videos were actually informing.... then 6th grade was too much information.. i never want to hear the words vas deferens again. Dragon Fou Lu
school on friday was utter torture! it was the last day before a week's holiday , and this little boy kept wanting to fight me. to try and make his point he was about 2 inches from my nose , so i just pushed him away , he just walked back to 2 inches from my face. we repeated this process for abot another 5 mins until he figured out it wasn't working , so he winds up one of my friends and my friend slammed him against the glass and unfortunately a teacher saw him and he got questioned there and then. then last 2 periods of the day there was a knock at the history room door and one of the Heads of the school asked for me to go down to his office along with my friend that shoved this little boy into the glass. when we arrived at his office we were asked why we thought that we were down there. ( i should've mentioned that another Head was asked to join this one. ) i gave a simple answer " because we pushed this little boy because he was invading my space and winding him up " The Head just said " that's a minor offence , what you boys are here for is much more serious " After a while i found out the actual reason why we were there. the teacher that talked to my friend also reported us on taking Drugs. And we hadn't taken drugs so we kept saying that we hadn't and they wouldn't listen. eventually we went up and spoke to the cheif head and he listened to us and let us go. although my friend got detention for strangling the boy. Now i'm scared to go back to school! :(

SaiyanPrincessX
Originally posted by MathGuy2 I wouldn't be surprised at a teacher using "shut up". What really worries me is a) cursing at the teacher and b) the manner of approaching the situation. Apparently you told the teacher you didn't understand "her method". A better phrasing would be "Ma'am, I don't understand how one would use the subjunctive. I understand how to form it, but I didn't get where to use it. Could you please explain that for me?". If you have a real problem with the teacher's method in general, speak to her after the class NICELY. My friend says that his Algebra II substitute doesn't teach anything but just puts an example and assigns homework; he ought to ask the teacher "This is all new stuff for me, and I'm having trouble getting it. Could you explain it slowly for me?" I disagree with Son Goten. I just got into high school this year, and I know am on very good terms with the teachers and have quite a few rights. Being nice can get you far. If you have a positive reputation, teachers will respect you and give you enough rights. (Last year, even I was in middle school French II (didn't take it in 7th grade), I was allowed into a French III class for a few weeks to prepare for the Fr. I + II credit exams. If I had offended my teachers, either the Fr. III teacher or my PE teacher would not let me do this.)
I agree with you MathGuy2. My teachers love me,:whoops: this gives me more rights than those who argue or skip class all the time. To tell you the truth, I like school more than I used to because the teachers acually help me. Off subject question.. How are you in High school? Your 1 year younger than my brother and hes not even in HS yet.
Sere Tuscumbia
Different areas have different school systems Princess. Australians only go to school until their 17 (according to one of my friends) and the English, well, since I don't have very many English friends I can't say anything, now can I? And "Sex-Ed" won't be until junior year for us. Yeah, I've had the videos since 4th Grade, but acutal "Sex-Ed" is still to come. God. What's sad is 6th Graders are smokin' pot and having sex now. And yeah, the message "Drugs Are Bad" was pounded into us at a very early age. No one listens to it anymore . . . V.V;;

Acid
I don't hate teachers. You have to admit, they put up with alot. You proved it with your first post gojay. Although I agree they can get annoying. I got written up earlier in the year for throwing food at my U.S. History teacher though. She kept telling me to stop talking, but I wasn't. Of course evantually she sent me outside, when she came out she turned around and I nailed her with a peanut or two. Trust me, don't ever try that one. ;)

So the church does not hate Homosexuals like some think. But that's off topic sorry. As in my sig I hate health cause my teacher just has us copy notes off the overhead. We have never done anything for the whole year. I'm so sick of it.
[Sound_Nin]
Originally posted by Wing Gundam Teachers at my school tell me to shut up at leat twice a day, I've been called a little "snot nosed punk", "juvenile delinquent", "trouble maker". There's about 50 more but I can't really remember them. You think you have it bad? Pfffffft. One fact, nobody cares what us students think. I got in trouble in library for not opening my book when she said CLEARLY don't open your books yet. I tried to explain my side of the story to the principal but then she just sent me home for "not co-operating with the teacher". Anyways, never, never say F*** to a teacher, because they dont care if you got beat in the head with a baseball bat from the teacher because frankly no one cares. COLOR]
You don't know how right you are. My teacher did the same thing, so you know what i said, "Make up your mind." So naturally she told me not to threaten her. So i told her to leave me alone and forget about the thing, but she wouldnt let it go, so she sent me to the principals office. He wouldnt believe me either. So i got mad and said, "Just shup up and ****ing expell me!" So, thinking that i wanted to be, I got kept at school for another week before i told the very same teacher to shut the **** up and leave me alone. I must have been called humdreds of names. One is juvenile ****er:nervous: . Its very bad, but i didnt do anything because that never works anyways
