Siren heard the crying at the same time her gaurdian and best friend Lethe did... Siren stood, her raven hair blowing in her face as the cold breeze caressed her skin... Siren glanced back at Lethe then sprinted away, her in human dexterity and strength carrying her quickly from sight... She stopped suddenly and looked around... The ruins of an old motel leaned impossibly just across the street... She turned the corner and froze... A man stood in the middle of the road near the building... She sprinted across the road... Siren swung onto the ladder and sliped up to the collapsing roof noislessly... She crept to the edge and looked down at the person standing amid the rubble... Whatever he was... He wasen't quite human... That much she could tell... Siren prepared for an attack... Her muscles tensed and she prepared for a sudden return to her dragon form... Suddenly the man looked up...

Siren: Oh sh!t....

Winter watches from an alley looking to the night sky in wonder as the four winged beasts came and started to distroy. She thinks to her self, -They're so graceful in the sky, beautiful winged dancers. But tonight they won't distroy this town.- She picks up her staff and moves into the open. Wondering if anyone else is in paris.

Lethe landed gracefully, like a cat....eyes snapping with restrained energy. Siren gave her a look of complete panic...followed by one of satisfaction, as Lethe drew her bloodsword.

Siren: Oh shît!

Lethe: Don't panic.

????: Who...are you?

Lethe: Lethe Senica Sevenstar. Dragon Gaurdian.

Lacroix's latest run on the lyranthe finished, sevenths trailing off into a brittle, high note that seemed flowing silver. He sighed, and placed the priceless instrument to the side. He rose, and and surveyed the room around him. The tavern had given him its best room, which stood for little. Rough-hewn logs, some still leaking green sap from the millwright's, were hobbled together in one of the more ramshackle constructions Lacroix had ever seen. Still, the place suited him. His privacy and melancholy were respected, and there were very few people around. The place was in the mountains, and was deep in forest. Perfect for everything Lacroix wanted. Despite his normall itinerant nature, Lacroix wondered how long this place would keep him.

From Raiha's Post

<< Skee responds by looking surprised at the women's reply. >>

Skee: A Guardian you say?

Lethe: << Looks up at the building >> Yes. << Quickly runs off to aid her dragon, Siren. >>

From Tursi's Post

<< Only a few moments past then Skee noticed yet another figure approaching. Skee designs to confront this one before they confront him. >>

Skee: what is a person like you doing here?

Winter: who wants to know?

<< Winter gets her daggers ready >>

Skee: << Looking at the stranger readying her daggers >> No need for those fair lady, I come in peace.

OOC: Seems a common question in rpgs I particpate in, but shall be asked anyway. If you want to develop storyline know, do you want Lacroix to enter the main plot, or can I have some more fun first?

IC: Lacroix was cruely jarred out of sweet reverie(It's late, don't ask) by a loud banging. He sighed again, and slid the bolt open. The landlord walked in, an apologetic look on his face.

Landlord: I'm sorry, but things have taken a turn for the worse. Our local priest has got the popoulace up in arms, claiming your music is a gift from the devil.

A shocked moment of silence - musical, low laughter- a mocking bow. Lacroix straightens, and calmly walked down the stairs. He'd seen worse. Not neccessariyl stranger, but a lot worse.

OOC: Intolerably short post, I am aware, however I would prefer my question be answered before I immerse myself in getting Lacroix maimed or whatever I currently feel like.

OOC: Appreciated. Time then, to indulge in my time honoured specialty. Annoying irate lynch mobs! Not just in rpgs either...

IC: As Lacroix entered the taproom, the silence was broken only by the coarse breathing of the yokels below. And of course, the sound of burning torches, pitchforks being sharpened, and rope for a hanging being coiled. Lacroix sighed, so predictable.

Lacroix: I hardly think it wise, the amount of wood in here considered, to wave those torches at me.

There was a moment's muttering, before a brave soul yelled out "Devil worshipper! You sold your soul to the devil so you could gain the evil ability to charm us all, and use us for foul demonic acts!". Lacroix blinked in surprise, than continued in his scathing tone.

Lacroix: I assure you, had I wished to sacrafice you, you would all be dead by now.

This however, provoked anger rather than fear. A different loudmouth raised concern about families and innocent children. Lacroix paid it no heed, but his quarterstaff arced off his back in a brillant circle. The blades, intricately carved with delicate runes, seemed a testament of tigerish grace. As was Lacroix. With an acrobat's skill, he leapt high, flipped and spun all at once. The whirling quarterstaff formed a circular saw who's momentum could not be impeded by mere flesh, as the man chosen as Lacroix's target found out. When the spray of blood cleared, Lacroix was down on one knee, head downwards slightly. He was holding his quarterstaff along the line of his right arm, his left was tucked to his side. The blade on the rise side was soaked in blood. The corpse was just a mess.

Slashed tendons snapped back into still moist flesh with whiplike cracks. Veins leaked their last, and fell limp. Muscle spasmed, the fibres unentwining. The gaping eyes, transfixed for now, gave mute testament to the futility of attacking this man. Lacroix rose, and stripped the blood of the blade of his staff with his thumb and forefinger. Absently, he flicked it at the bystanders.

Lacroix: I hope we have learned a valuable lesson here. Aggravate me, and I will happily kill you.

Lacroix dug in under his cloak, and tossed a small belt pouch tot he innkeeper. Whistling a tune with a painfully sharp dissonance, he left the inn with a flourished, mocking bow. Despite the perfection of the physical setting, people would always be annoying. Lacroix, resigned, and not really unhappy, continued his solitary existance, not knowing or caring whether someone else waited at the end of the latest sojourn.

Blind panic overtook Siren and she reverted instantly to her draconic form, body rending itself apart. Lethe tightened her grip on the bloodsword, sending bright blue blood down her white knuckles...

Lethe: Be easy Siren.

The dragon bared her teeth, but lowered her wings ever so slightly....the figure stood up, shrouded in darkness....Lethe stepped next to her Dragon, eyes glaring as bright as her counterpart.

Siren: ...begone!

????: Who's gonna make me?

Lethe: The daughter of the Twilight....I, Lethe, sister to Everlasting Nepenthe.

ooc: Hi, soz about not posting but I've been a little busy lately. Harly is it okay if Labyrinth follows you for some time?

IC: Labyrinth watched the man single handely destroy the mob. He was definatly strange and seemed to know what he was doing. She watched as he left the tavern. She looked down at her human form and sighed, she hated trying to creep along but she would have to.

He went down the valley as of it wasn't there, Labyrinth followed making sure that no creatures saw her which would alert the man. He was whistleing a tune that sounded strangly familar, it reminded her of when she had been disturbed from her years of long sleep. She inevertaly stepped on a twig with an ear splitting 'crack'. She stopped dead to see what he would do.

<< Skee raises an eyebrow at the question at hand. >>

Skee: Perhaps we have ? why do you ask? Obviously you'd remember much an event, would you not?

Winter: << Stands Silently Pondering >>

Skee: But then again, its been quiet a while and you do seem confused about the question.

<< Skee looks over at Winter as if he forgot she was even there. >>

Skee: Ah. Sorry my lady, you must excuse me I'd become rather use to talking to my self.

Winter: Thanks okay, ???? ???

Skee: << Looks odd >> What was the question?
