Where common man lived in horror of each passing day, what would happen next the village burned, my daughter devoured, or my second wife possessed. These where only a few questions asked before one found an even greater horror around the corner. Until a strange young man feed up with the treatment of his people rallied an army to stand up against the dreaded Via'pus. This would later be know as the era of renewal where man would stand against those how rule them in an epic 7 year war. This showed people that indeed the Via'pus were powerful but were also able to be defected. The war spend to the very corners of the world until the Via'pus allured the last of the rebellion into a mountain valley. Lead by the same Strange man the people fought for there lives for the future of their loved ones but it seemed useless the new ideal of faith seemed to be failing them, the battle ground now lays silent a mere memory of what fate awaits those whom would fight. A year passes as the Via'pus slaughter millions as a punishment to mankind for there faith in themselves, and a show of power in what they can do if angered. ???.. The silent fields of the mountain valley were man would fight for their future trembles as you awaken, to reward mankind's faith. ???.. The Via'pus pounded towards her and as the villagers took the children up and ran, Siren clashed with the front lines of Via'pus, defending the narrow gates... She was soon covered in blood and riddled with arrows... She fell to her knees, the final arrow striking the fatal blow to her heart... Why you fight: Siren fights for the thrill of the fighting it's self... She used to fight for the cause of the people, before it became an addiction.. Background: Siren had been a traveling mercenary and a assassin... She disliked anything involving people but would work well with them when there was no other way... He made this desperate charge alone, to allow his companions to lead the Via'pus into an elaborate ambush. Quite obviously, not the smartest thing to do.... Why you fight: Lacroix fought for one reason. He was tired of life. It meant nothing to him anymore. That much hasn't changed. Sinistrad still finds existance a melancholy torture, but this time he has a purpose to fufill before he can return to oblivion. Background: Lacroix's father was a drunken bastard with no respect for anybody. Lacroix never even found out who his mother was, much less what happened to her. He grew up alone, and resented it. Solitude turned to introversion, introversion turned to melancholy, which led to the destruction of hope. Lacroix never cared what happened to him, and never bothered with human companionship, or normal emotion. After several long duels with different Via'pus members, a single blow through his stomach, and out the other end, destroyed his stomach and part of his lower lungs. His eternal care for his dieing friends, in the end killed himself too. He cried out for whatever God's of Justice there were to help him, but it was to no avail. He faded quickly.. Why you fight: Kenneth fought for his friends, family, and home. All he wanted was a better future for his little sister, who by now is around 14. He was a caring person, and a good friend- so defense of human interests came naturally. He gave his life for his friends gladly, and would do it again if given the chance. Background: He was born into a somewhat normal family, and lived happily, being trained in the family tradition of Swordsmenship. All was well intill he was 18, and his father died in some freak 'accident', leaving his mother, him, and his baby sister alone. The call to arms came, and most of his friends were going into the war. He decided to help them at all costs.. maybe the future would be brighter for his sister than it was for him. The captain had been a long time friend, and seeing him about to be slaughtered by a via'pus warrior caused Tomar to charge at him. He did manage to save his friend by buying some time for him to get up and win the fight, but also managed to get his head in the way of the Via'pus' swinging mace. Why you Fight: Alkora fights for one sole purpose. Revenge. After the via'pus killed his entire family right before his eyes, his life has become bent on defeating every single last one. And is still to find the one that killed his family. Background: He was raised in a significantly wealthy family, until the Via'pus robbed his home and slaughtered his family when he was only 7 years old. Taken under the care of an old general, Tomar was well trained and inspired by his foster father, who had convinced Tomar that the only way to overcome his sorrow was through revenge of those who ruined his life. Heartless Me Posted October 17, 2002 Share Posted October 17, 2002 Angelic Name: Pyrial, the angel of death Name in life: Balthazar Crumb Apparent Age: 19 Heroic Last Deed: He passed on valiantly guarding a small village, mainly of children who were orphaned by the mad rages of the Vai'Pus from the demonic hordes. His deed was successful though it delt him a mortal wound which had costed him his life. Why you fight: To protect the weak and innocent, to promote justice, and to smite the wicked! Background: Balthazar was born and raised into religion, at the very young age of three he was a squire to a great paladin and by the age of seven he had begun templar training. He learned a great many things from the priests and palladins of the pantheon of light and became very faithful of it's ways. By the age of eighteen he had become a full fledged palladin and had by far succeeded many of his peers. He thought himself without equal until the day he came to the village where he lost his life. And sorry but your not guaranteed a spot for this story, but I'm sure you can poll off a good character idea.) My character ...... Angelic Name: High-Rule Name in life: Unknown Apparent Age: Sixteen, maybe Seventeen. Heroic Last Deed: Never truly died but his historical death was that he was the last to perish during the finial battle at the mountain valley. Other then that nobody truly knows of his fate. Why you fight: Unknown, the myths of his families' death by the hands of the Via'pus are a popular one.
