Rain
:D Who do you think has it easier - guys or girls? Even though I'm a girl, I personally think guys do have it easier - they don't have periods, they don't have to give birth (actually, girls don't have to either) and they don't have to deal with bitchiness. So what do you think - oh, and give reasons as well
Shinobi
Um...Well....I think both kinda, guys might not have too deal with bitcheness but if someone is shoutin there mouth off and an argument flares, then there may be a fight. I parsonaly have a short temper, i'm a fun loving guy, love a laugh, but when people make fuin of me or things that are personal to me, then i aint the nicest guy to be with. Girls dont get broken jaws and noses, they just get bitched at...yeah words can hurt, but nothing compared to a burst nose, do you see my point? Also, girls dont get jumped in teh streets, gangs dont jump out on a girl and say "Were you from?" if you dont answer correctly then yu might get stabbed or beat on. Periods, i agree with you there, it must be hell. But men do have problems with sexual organs. Sadly, we have to cary around this stupid, non-inteligent, ugly oragn. By non-inteligent i mean, it doesnt know the diffrence between a women and teh back off a bus, you always take errections at the most annoying time (i personaly dont, i past that stage long ago. But still cna happen, lol)It can also be an embarrising thing, in changing rooms and dressing rooms, if you have a small, *ahem* "genitile". I personaly am not effected by this, but i know how it must feel, if you hit puberty late and so on. So there for, i think we are equal in terms of "Who has it easier"
Mitch
I think in guys have it easier, even though I'd rather just say Females just because I'm a Male ^^. Males have it easier because women or usually placed into our society lower than males are. If a women would want to play Football or something of the sort, they would most likely never make it, even if they were a talented person at it. And also, in the past, women have been looked down on even worse. Ex. Women's Sufferage (Sufferage means to be able to vote), women used to not be allowed to vote. And if you look even further in the past, Women have been even treated more worse. Women used to be there just to have children, do housework, raise the kids. So all in all I'd have to say throughout the history of Men and Women, Women have had it much tougher.
Dan L
Women have it easier... why? *Ahem* If a woman really gets on your nerves, you can't just punch them if you're a man ... or if you're a Christian woman... Non Christian women have it easiest of all ;) In case there's any doubt.. I was joking in that last bit On a more serious note.. I really don't know. I think we can't really know who has it easiest, because men can't know what it's like to be a woman and vice versa...

'sufferage' makes it sound like something else, other than the right to vote. I think that no one has it easier and this is a stupid question... ChibiV
I would say none, male and female each have their own difficulties. If I have to chose...I still chose to be a female.

I'll never forget the cliche sitcom scene where the female in labor grabs her poor, unwitting husband by the neck in the delivery room screaming, "You did this to me! I want to kill you!" Nonetheless, guys probably benefit from the society that we're in. Even language is a male operated machine. I mean, there are multiple derogatory words for women. I don't know if I went over this on the boards or not before, but women who put out too much are referred to as a "slut, whore, or a tramp." Women who are modest with sex are called a tease. Where is a male specific derogatory insult for either of those circumstances? There is none. If two guys go into the bathroom, they may talk about how many women they've slept with over a period of time. I can't picture female saying, "Hey Amy, guess what? I'm a slut!" It just doesn't work. Plus, I don't feel that stereotypes surrounding women have completely dissolved yet. They are probably still likely to be taken over by purchasing a car. Also, they'e still paid less then males with the same job.
Shinobi
Nuh-uh. In Scotland, male and female are paid the same, equal rights law. Not unless it is there own busniess, but if theya re caught or found out, they will be sued, finedor even jailed.
Kent
I would say men have it easier in the sense of dealing with passing a baby through the body and periods. but, men are the ones that have got to deal with females "bitchiness". also think that it really is equal. although I think generalizing makes things so much easier, and with that in mind, its hard for me to say it, but we both have an equally difficult time with life. except muslim women... they have it the worst.(oh yea, chinesse women too, I mean forced abortions by your own government, geez.) BabyGirl
Each gender has its tradeoffs, to say that one has it easier than the other is to be overlooking those tradeoffs [of good and bad points] of the two genders. It's true that women do have their disadvantages in places like Afghanistan or in the workplace, but they also have much more sexual power over men [Heaven's Cloud once pointed that out to me, and I do agree]. Why do you think Middle Eastern women are forced to cover their bodies and faces? The Muslim men have a paranoid fear that the women will not only attract other men, but seduce them with their mystical sexual prowess. (Yes, I do realize that it goes beyond simply the sexual thing.) There are other tradeoffs that deal with sexuality (my mind's running down that path right now). When virgin women engage in intercourse for the first time with a male, it is known to be extremely painful and rather unenjoyable, thus encouraging woman to get it out of the way and over with. Men, however, have to deal with the whole "only lasting two seconds the first time" thing. I've experienced both of those stereotypes...and they're both true...and they're also both tradeoffs. I could go on, but I can't think of much else right now. I just thought I'd lay that above tradeoff out there so that people could consider it...or such ^_^
Mitch
Yeh, I get what you're saying, Jenna. But I'm saying that if I had to choose one over the other, and would choose women.
iggy
I think girls have it easier for a couple of reasons 1. They usually dont do embarrasing **** like asking to marry 2. They usually are smarter so they get a lot of good jobs 3. Well theyre Usually more responsible.

Thats not entirly true, I'm always hearing about Woman getting jumped in the streets, and getting raped, stabed ect. Men have the advantage of physical strength to defend themselfs. To answer the question, I think in todays society it's equal, both genders have their hardships, but like AnimeLover said in the past Men had it easier, for example in the 18th century women were treated disgracfully, they were only considered good for conceiving children and raising them.
