ZeroBlade
1) I'm found at the most famous city in the world, New York. I live in the East New York section of Brooklyn. I originally came from the Island of Hispaniola, the Dominican Republic part of the Island (the bigger half. ;) ) I came to New York when I was about 2 or 3 years old. 2) Its the city that never sleeps....or the big apple. Thats some of the nicknames its known for. Originally it was called New Ansterdam back in days of 1800's and no one wants to experience today. 3)Everybody comes here! MTV HQ is here! And I just love it when you have guests and tourists from small urban areas just stare at the skyscrapers. There's always something to do here.... well... if you have the cash... 4) Twin Towers used to stand here... Crowded like whoa... Private cars aren't really needed since public transportation takes you anywhere you want to go. Currently a fare is $1.50 but soon might go up to $2.00!!! I'll be damned if I let that go up... I'll protest with everyone else later.... Area I live in is pretty decent. Unlike Manhattan, there's actually a forest of trees where I'm at. My area is also called Cypress Hills. Some people say its a bad area (drugs and shootings supposditly) but I never saw any of it really. Well not as common people might think. The area is damn convenient. If there is something you need, it just a block away. Any if you say you can't find a store, I'll slap you. Thats just about it I guess.:cross:
phoenixflames
I'm from Portland, Oregon. Ummm.... We have the first raising steel bridge in the US and..... The Willamette river is one of the most messed up in the nation! Yay.... We are commonly referred to as "Potlanders" because if you go downtown there are enough people using pot to fill up San Fransisco's China town! But the suburban areas are really nice. EXCEPT FOR THE HOLLYWOOD DISTRICT! I don't like that place..... *Shudder*
Guest Hikaru Ichijyo
:) Ok well first off you could have guessed this from my sig, I live in the United States, the city I live in is New York City. I live in the heart of the city in Manhattan and I'm approximately 6 blocks away from the Empire State Building. 2.)Well we pretty much have it all, though for me thats not enough. We have the MTV station hq, we have the Empire State Building, along with other land marks. We have probably the better clubs and bars, yes folks I know this for a fact. :p 3.)Unlike Zero, though I'm going to tell you DON'T COME HERE! This city is incredibly rude along with the people in it. Also bringing into the factor that this city goes on terror alerts almost as much as thunderstorm warnings I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you like to gamble with your life. It took me 3 years of my life out of 19 to get out of here. I'm ditching NY for Cali for the record. 4)Ironically I live in the part where most of the people, are rich white people mainly lawyers and computer programmers. Its probably the most expensive part of the city besides being located uptown, so you can pretty much figure out my finicial standings based on that. Not much more to say, if you like big cities and don't mind the rudeness come to New York, if your from a small town and not acustom to this life style I suggest you stay home. DON"T COME HERE!!!!!!! 3) I think that the Chislome Trail came through here... That is I think... :(
NorykoAngelcry
Hmm. . 1. I am from Franklin, TN. A small town/city south of Nashville, TN (country music capitol of the US) 2. Franklin is the sister city of Brentwood. Both are very rich cities, which make the county the richest in Tennessee. I suppose that is bragging, but at least the cities are really fortunate because they have a much better school system then almost all the other counties/cities in Tennessee. 3. While most of the state is really backwater run down cities, Franklin and Brentwood are very nice towns. It has really grown leaps and bounds since our family moved down here 14 years ago. Major businesses have spawned up around Franklin as well as Brentwood. I suppose I am really happy, though. . here comes the down notes to Franklin. 4. Country music rules here on the radio. . so. . I hate that, since I hate Country music. 5. There are WAY too many bad drivers. Me, being a good driver that knows what he is doing on the road, gets upset really easily with the BAD drivers. . Ok, I will stop with that, and just let it sit at that ^_^ love you all, *bows deeply* and goodnight.

RicoTranzrig
Yes...I also happen to know someone that lives a few blocks away that is from otakuboards, 2 of 'em actually from school and stuff. :D But I'll be talking about where I grew up...Union City is...ugh...tolerable... 1. Where are you from? San Mateo, California...few miles south of San Francisco. 2. Tell us something we should know about it. It's a really large city with a very diverse atmosphere, but it's spread out enough so everyone has breathing room. The main post office there was considered the happiest place in the U.S. lol. A very down to earth city where I would love to raise my kids if I had any :whoops:. 3. No "it's boring" or "never comes here" Well, there's tons to do around there. A huge park occupies the middle of the city, containing within it a Japanese garden, really old trees, and huge walking distances. There's a shopping center where I would spend some time as a kid at the indoor playgrounds. 4. Discuss about it! I base a quite a number of my writings on it. I basically lived in the run down area of the city...but, there was rarely any crime and everyone looks after one another in the neighborhood. The park left the most memories...and the something very special about this place is that my girlfriend used to live there when we were little kids, but we never knew about it until we met later on in high school. I always wondered if she was one of the kids that played with me.
SaiyanPrincessX
1. Where are you from? Phoenix, Arizona(Maricopa county) 2. Tell us something we should know about it. Lets see.. Phoenix is the capital, also the largest city in AZ. Arizona is considered the "Grand Canyon state" and became a state in 1912. 3. No "it's boring" or "never comes here" If you can take 110 degree wheather this is the place for you! If not, stay back.. 4. Discuss about it! From my experiance, I loved it! Although I couldn't really tell you what interesting places to visit withen Phoenix because I was young. I was usually outside playing with my younger brother and our friends. We were always outside, on our trampoline, swimming, riding bikes, sneaking up to the playground..:D I liked the heat, if we got hot we would go swimming at our friends house or play in the hose, lol. If you want to know what things to do in Arizona itself, goto the Grand Canyon. Thats a big tourist spot! I really did enjoy living there and really miss it. I moved to Ohio when I was 10 1/2(July/August 96'). Then again last year, still withen Ohio though.
Red
1.where are you from? Well, I currently live in London, England (pretty easy to find, eh?) but my entire family are Irish :D 2. Tell us something we should know about it Crime is on the increase in some areas and in others it's virtually non existent. Our government seems to be in disarray at the current moment in time. 3. no "it's boring" or "never comes here" London's not boring, most of the time! There's plenty to do and see, and there are tons of parks throughout the whole city to relax in, away from the hectic, smoggy city. 4. discuss about it! I live in a pretty nice area of London, with access to over 4 parks in my area, with plenty to do. It's also a pretty rich area (I'm not rich, I promise you that), so some people can be pretty nasty sometimes. London has a massive Underground train network, so it's very easy to get around.
Lady Asphyxia
1) Well, I'm from Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. I'm also currently cursing my mother for moving here from New Zealand, and melting in my own body heat. It is very hot here at the moment. 2) Toowoomba is regarded as "The Garden City" of Australia, despite the fact that New South Wales (or is it Victoria?) is known as the Garden State. It's the Second biggest inland city, the first being Canberra. Toowoomba's around one and a half hours drive from Brisbane, the capital city of Queensland. Toowoomba is also aboriginal for "Swamp"...great name. Every September, we hold a big festival, called the Carnival of Flowers. We have a population of around ninety thousand. We're on the Great Dividing Range, which means it's full of hills. We used to be a volcano, swampy type of place, which is how it got its name. It's pretty safe here. We've left our front door open all day and nothing has happened. Though, that might have something to do with living on a dead end street. I've got friends who've been robbed 4 times by the same guys. 3) Okay, I won't say it. However, I will say, that my Mum, despite knowing it was a good place to raise children, regrets staying here for so long. It's a pretty prejudiced place. If you'r from a different background, or a little strange or something, people won't like you. 4) Discuss about it ...Into which, I'll read, "What is your opinion of it?" Personally, I dislike Toowoomba. I'd rather be somewhere colder, rainer (I love the rain), possible somewhere like Scotland or England. But that's just me. I find this town a little too stifling, and my school, especially, a little too religious. However, it's a nice town. Pretty. Jacaranda's, Liquid Ambers...very very pretty in Autumn. It sort of depends on your tastes.

Pastbyer
From or live in? I think I'll write about both if possible... gah... 1. Where are you from? (country, city, locate it if it's not known) I currently live in Auckland, NZ (biggest city of New Zealand). I'm from Beijing, (capital of) China. 2. Tell us something we should know about it Auckland has nice (if unpredictable) weather. It's called the City of Sails and currently they're having the Louis Vuitton Cup here (some sailing competition). Beijing... Well, it's dry, dusty and very much crowded with around... is it 10 million people?? (I'm not sure). Sometimes I think even the snow is grey not white. And the name means "Northern Capital" in Chinese. 3. no "it's boring" or "never comes here" You can come to Auckland if you like... If you don't mind the strange weather we've been having. But I must warn you to NOT go to any big cities in China unless you're willing to be dusty all over and potentially die of asthma. I know someone who did. 4. discuss about it! Um... No thanks.

About 100 miles south of Amarillo, kinda close to the New Mexican Border. 2. Tell us something we should know about it A very big agricultural city. A lot of farmers who grow cotton. We have the biggest cotton industry in the nation or somthing like that and the third largest in the world. 3. no "it's boring" or "never comes here" It really isn't that boring. Something you should know?? How about the C.N. Tower?? It's the tallest free standing structure ever built. Pizza pizza is a Canadien company. Other than that I know nothing more about Toronto that you don't already know. 3. Hummm.... I guess this place would be a nice place to visit. The C.N. Tower and Skydome is a great attraction. Also China Town is one of the huge torrist attractions for an odd reason... It's over crouded down there and I dislike walking throught there at night since all the begger's come out at that time... 4. I don't have anything else to say except that I love Canada and it's the only place I remember going to other than a vacation to U.S.A. We are peace makers and very muticultural. Oh, and they once found this dead general guy baried were they were going to build a road... It's kinda funny the way they found him. I also heard that there's this dead beat liveing in the ventelation of this huge library... Lol, a friend of my dad's told him about that...
