Guest Morphious
Well guys, it's about time that I download some more music...please list all of your favorite artists (or bands) that you listen to, and what type of music they play. Right now I've got a playlist totalling well over 8 hours, almost 10 I think, and it's growing as I add Metallica and Rob Zombie songs.
wrist cutter
hide. He is rock. Laputa. They are rock, but nowadays they play techno-rock. And most of all, L'Arc~en~Ciel, who is pop-rock.
Guest Anakin Solo
Errr......Dowload Poem by Taproot Dave, very good song. Yes, it does turn away, but I think it sounds cool...the originals are great, also, so I listen to them both. ;)

OlgaTheDwarf
Here are a couple bands I like. Zao: Baiscally anything of them is good but I warn you the lead singer has a snake in his throat. Norma Jean: The songs "Memphis Will Be Laid To Waist" and "I Used To Hate Cell Phones But Now I Hate Car Accidents" are very good but they are extremely heavy. Project 86: Anything! Dead Poetic: They're a bit softer than the others I listed; they are a lot like Thursday. I recommend the song "Four Wall Blackmail".
Imp
I call my favorites the trile As, because they all start with A! And I'm going to list my favorite of their songs as well. Alice Deejay- favorite song: "Better Off Alone" ATC- favorite song: "So Magical" Aqua- favorite song: "Candyman" Well, that's it! My actual favorite song is "Look At Us", but it's by Sarina Paris, who is not one of my favorite singers.

Semjaza
Near everything on Short Bus is better than Nice Shot, I think heh. Most bands I care about right now are in my sig. I'd get more than one from each though, because most of the bands I listed have many different styles going on. Curve, I suppose could be classified as industrial. The vocals are beautiful though, and a lot of the songs are very mellow. Hell Above Water is a song they did, and I'm sure most people have heard it from those Spiderman commercials. Other songs to check out would be Lillies Dying, Gift, and Bleeding Heart. Those are just off their last two LPs though, Doppleganger and Gift. Worst Mistake is another good song if you can find it. Deadsy, I don't know what they'd be. They are an awful lot like the rock band Rush. They both use tons of synth and Z-tars (or however that should be spelled), but the vocal ranges are complete opposite. Deadsy has been around since like 97, but due to lots of unforseen problems they never really got a major debut until 6 years later, sometime in 2002. I'd check out Winnere and Mansion World. The Key to Gramercy Park is their single. The lead singer is the son of Cher, which is a weird fact I'd never expect heh. Pixies are probably my favorite rock band ever. They are an extremely acquired taste though. I didn't even like them much at first. I wound up listening to one song and just kept moving on. I now own every CD they ever put out officially, and then some. I'd start off with Here Comes Your Man, Wave of Mutilation (The UK Surf version is better), Where Is My Mind?, Alec Eiffel and Debaser. I think it's almost all good though. godhead is stuck in gothic industrial (at least according to music magazines, whatever). One of my favorite groups; another of which has been around for quite a while on smaller labels. They were signed to Manson's Posthuman Records a couple years back. I Sell Society, Bleed, Gimp, Inside You and Tired Old Man. Freezepop is synth pop... It's heavily midi influenced (it's mostly played on portable handheld Yamaha midi sequencers), and the lyrics are not deep or anything. It's just fun music, and I enjoy it quite a bit. Science Genius Girl and Lazy are both good songs. Rasputina is a group of 3 girls who play the cello/strings in a rock type format. A strange thing, but they are damn good. There are some MP3s available on their site (http://www.rasputina.com/audibles.html). Anything off "Thanks for the Ether" is a good track, and there are some great remixes of their songs around as well. Jack Off Jill/Scarling... I bunch them together because JOJ broke up after their last release, and the lead singer (Jessicka) started Scarling afterwards. JOJ is similiar to older Manson, back when they were still known as Marilyn Manson and The Spooky Kids. There is very little Scarling available right now, as they've yet to realease a CD (they've played live only so far), but what is around is good. A lot of it is mislabeled JOJ stuff though. I'd check out American Made, Horrible and Girlscout by them if you're interested. Last one I'll write about is Apocalypse Hoboken. They were a local Chicago punk band that recently broke up (lots of reasons... world was against them, and it didn't help than an ex-girlfriend of one of the members sold off all their equipment. They were signed by so many labels it's hard to keep track, most recent of which was Kung Fu Records. Their last CD was Microstars, which is far less punk-ish than their previous CDs, but honestly it's my favorite one. Stuff of theirs is VERY hard to find online outside of Little Fingers and Congested. I'd check out those songs and Monchichi, Brett, When's Steve Coming Home and Darling Nikki (Prince Cover). My absolute favorite punk band ever, and it's sad only 2 other people I know have heard of them without me bringing them up. Anyway, that's more than enough. If anyone actually checks these bands out and likes them, let me know (of even if you like them as it is). Would be nice to see heh. I write way too much about bands I like sometimes, so my apologies haha.

TheDarkOtaku
I'm a rocker, if anyone hasn't noticed by now, so primarily all the music I listen to is rock. It really doesn't matter what kind, except for punk. It's just not loud enough for me :demon: Some bands in punk could be okay, like New Found Glory, but mostly I like metal and even some classic stuff. Oh yeah and I can't forget how I listen to anime/game soundtracks. They're the greatest as we all know, especially the work of Miss Yoko Kanno! She's a genius in my book.
