Heh, third try and and I still cant beat him. OK what I need help with really is the pattern where Cross-Cleave comes in, and how to avoid it. As it just finishes me off while the Lance of Atrophy follows the move. Perhaps I should just stick and Aeon in instead of it getting banished.
I have Overdrive on Limit Break, and every Aeon is on Limit Break except for Ifrit and Valefor.(Summon Ifrit in Grand Summon)Bahamut does around 8,700 damage. I wouldnt know if I should level up and improve my health, Auron has about 3,789 at this point. Tch, not like me to ask for help, at least not in a while but can any of you help?

Holy crap, this brings back bad reminscience. Yeh, it took me like a million tries to beat him. What I did was level up crazily and got all of my characters and Aeon's limit breaks, also I think you can use some break attacks on him with Auron. But I could be wrong. Also be sure you have healing readily available. I'd mostly use Yuna to do that.

If Seymour Flux is the one in the Gagazet area, then this is what you do:
Poison Seymour, lol

I had Yuna, Auron and Tidus in the fight.
I poisoned Seymour, and then cast Hastega on everyone.
Then I think (it might not work on him, but I try to do it on all bosses) I 'Break'ed him for Armour, Magic, and Power.
Then you just keep hitting him with Auron and Tidus, and keep HP up with Yuna.
Use Overdrives when you get them, and Grand Summon Bahamut with Yuna and save yourself the effort of taking off an odd 15,000HP off him.

Oh yeah... Overdrive: Healer for Yuna, and Warrior for Tidus and Auron.
That's if it's the one near Ronsohome

He probably means Anima, that's the only chained aeon. Anywhoo Seymour flux was a big pain wasn't he, took me a buncha tries as well. If you use protect you'll cut cross-cleave's damage in half. If you have some lunar/light curtains you can mix them w/ Riku's overdrive and get a nice mighty guard. As for lance of atrophy, cast hastega and then use a holy water to cure the zombie first thing, because Seymour will always follow it up w/ full-whatever, but because u're no longer a zombie it won't kill you. That little ball thing, mortichis or something, is a good target as well. When you kill that it'll suck HP from Seymour to revive itself. You should also worry more about building Yuna's stats, because all aeons' stats go up w/ hers. If you have the items you can also slap auto-remedy on to protect against the lance of atrophy's zombie.

If you can, cast Slow on him, then while his turn is coming up, cast Hastega, and go on the Protect-spree. He'll only be able to Dispel one of those, and so you just re-spell that one magic, and so on.

And remember to use Holy Waters whenever necessary! Unzombify a dead party member, and Seymour'll cure them for you. Also, dead characters will lose their status magics, like Haste and Protect.

I didn't have a problem with Seymour for some reason, although Yunalesca-iii's Mega-Death is annoying me right about now...

Yunalesca was a major pain in the arse. I had to spend an extra five hours gathering enough stuff to make my people zombieproof. And then I just Aeoned her to death.

I don't belive Yojimbo goes up with Yuna's stats... I could be wrong... I think you have to level im up manually, which you can't do untill you have "Aeons Soul" or something like that.

The HP suckage from Seymore's little vehicle stops being effective when it drops to 1000. After it does that, just focus on Seymore.

Also, Rikku can be a big help in this battle. She can use items that can hit Seymore about 5 or 6 times. The 'Gems' mostly. She can also steal Elixers, I think...

And Anima isn't available at that point in the game. Yojimbo is a nice Aeon to have... but only if you have the cash to continuously pay him. I don't use him that much... I use Anima...
