Yoda
Strider's only wound from the battle was a small cut to his upper right leg. Already he had bandaged it, and had gone to give his council to Abob. Srtider: *Whisper* Abob, something is wrong. Both I and Lalaith were watching the road... and those creatures are sloppy. I find it impossible that they could have ambushed us... Abob: Yes, I feel some devilry at work. Do not worry yourself about it too much, they are sloppy fighters, and you seemed to handle the bettle better than most of us. You did well today Strider, and don't blame the ambush on yourself. Although, I fear it may be better if the ambush happened because you slacked. Otherwise, we are in serious jeapordy. Strider: Damn those creatures. I swear, no matter what happens, this will not happen again.
Sui Generis
Lalaith stood up and stretched out his arm. He winced slightly still extremely sore from the arrow wound. He walked up to Abob and Strider and listened as they talked. "...It has something to do with Ryan..." The two looked at Lalaith strangely, both with puzzled looks on their faces. "Not only does he have evil still in him, but that whole horro that happened with him happened an hour before this ambush, I don't think this was a coincidence. Something's brewing, they used that time to sneak upon us..." Abob: "Are you saying somehow Ryan is still connected to the evil, but how." "Yes thats what I am saying. The only one who knows how is Ryan himself." He looked over at Ryan slightly and shook his head. "Poor man...risked his life saving the world and what is he rewarded with...a life-long curse. That should be me not him." With that Lalaith walked towards the dead monsters' corpses. He bent down examining them, and took all the un-broken arrows he could find.
Boba Fett
Abob finished bandaging a minor cut on his leg, then got up and walked over to Lalaith with his arms crossed and a disgusted look on his face. Abob: "Lalaith, will you listen to me. You are not very badly hurt, but you have lost a lot of blood. You were very close to collapsing at the end of the battle. Please sit down and rest your body. We may have to fight again soon, and you will have to sit it out if you remain in this state." Lalaith: "Hold on, I just need to get this last arrow." Lalaith pulls an arrow from the chest of one of the monsters, careful not to break it as he pulled it out of the monsters bloody rib cage. Then Lalaith and Abob walked together back to the tree, and the both sat down and rested their backs against it. Abob hands Lalaith a potion, and Lalaith drinks it down, gagging. Lalaith: "What was that?" Abob: "Water." Lalaith: "You must be kidding, no water tastes this bad." Abob: "I drew it from a creek while we were walking earlier. The water in the creek was blood red, so I treated it with several potions to make it drinkable." Lalaith: "Why didn't you tell us?" Abob: "I didn't think it was important at the time, but now I think it may be connected to Ryan's blood problem." Lalaith: "We are getting too old for this, I should be at home in Rivendell, playing cards with you and Lauren and talking of old times..." Abob: "I wish it were so, but it seems Evil never rests..." Corey
I watched Lalaith scout for arrows. His going was slow, not hurried at all. I looked down at my hands and clenched them. Quietly, I whispered. Ryan- "Nostorag'e Ju'too Klinestocan..." Nothing. Nothing happened. I had attempted to cast one of my most rudimentary spells. Nothing. Abob damn tonic was still in my system. I stood up and walked into a nearby field, away from the rest of the fellowship. I knew that Lalaith saw me. A few other probably did, as well, but I didn't really care. I spotted a nice spot of raw earth. Slowly I walked over to it. I needed to meditate. It's not something that many wizards do, but sometimes it helps to calm the nerves. I had killed one creature in the past battle. I imploded his skull with a whack from my staff. I killed one when I could have killed dozens... I shook my head. I had been becoming irritable. And last night I had been very parinoid. I rubbed my temples and untied my robe. It fell around my feet and I nudged it out of the way. I slipped out of my undergarments and stood naked in the field. The wind wipped over my body smoothly. I was already becoming more calm. I sat down, feeling the coarseness of the dirt on my bare skin. I folded my legs in front of me and placed my elbows on my knees. I closed my eyes and concentraited on breathing. All that mattered was the in-and-out... In and Out... In and Out... I went into the expanse of my mind. That dark endless room that I had traveled to many times before. I materialized and the white hole appeared in the center. When I wanted to go back I would jump there. I recalled a summer. I was still very small. I hadn't even went into training yet. My parent had taken my to the Shire. What a beautiful place it was. The Hobbits weren't mean to us at all. They just minded their own buissiness. The trees were beautiful. The wind felt good. It blew the scents of the forest into my nostrils and invigorated my young body. I walked out of the memeory and smiled. I felt better. I looked off into the expanse of my 'mind'. There was a small red glint very far away. I looked at it for almost a full minute before it dissapeared. I shook my mental head and walked over to the hole. I jumped in. In and Out... In and... I opened my eyes slowly. I felt better. I felt better, but I didn't I didn't want to go back just yet. I closed my eyes and dozed in the field. Sui Generis
Lalaith waited for his friend to answer. He turned his head and saw Ryan lay down. He smiled, atleast one person here could find rest. He thought about Ryan more. He sighed again. He wish he could find peace, but he was the leader, he couldn't have peace. Abob looked at Lalaith with a hint of sympathy in his eyes. He looked at him again and sighed. Abob: "You've changed Lalaith..." "Don't worry.." Lalaith stood up and walked towards Lauren. He sat down next to her and smiled. He sighed and yawned. Boba Fett
Abob watched as Lalaith fell asleep next to Lauren. He didn?t envy Lalaith in the slightest. Being the leader of their small band was probably the most taxing job on Middle Earth at the moment. Sure, leaders of large kingdoms had to provide for their subjects and protect their borders but they had to face evil in the face all the time. They were up against the best of the best that the darkness had to offer, the horrors that were ten thousand years in the making. Lalaith had to decide in an instant if they would run or fight, live or die. He had to be ready to order one of them to their deaths if need be. Lalaith had been an outstanding leader so far, but his behavior in the last battle had disturbed Abob. Lalaith had put the others above him in importance, and nearly killed himself. He needed to realize that the group needed him to hold them together, and without him they would be disorganized and vulnerable. Abob began to repair his bow, removing the old string and replacing it with a new one from his bag. It was hard work to get the string at the exact tension he liked. The old string had been on the bow for two years, and he had gotten very used to it. Now his accuracy would be on the fritz for a while until he got used to the string. Not good while they were under constant threat of attack?
Yoda
Strider was visibly shaken, he had fought bravely and courageously, but still he was very disturbed by the fact that he was caught out. He walked over to the tree he and Lalaith were in before hand, it was time for him to put his head down and think for a while. Abob sat at the foot of the tree, and saw Strider force a weak smile to Abob as he began to climb up the tree. Abob: *Thinking* Poor guy, none of us were as young as he was when we set out the very first time. He has a lot to live upto as well, his father bring Aragorn and all. As if he didn't have enough on his plate. Abob noted how strange Strider looked when he moved. He had the build of a human, but moved with the grace of the lightest elf. He leapt up the tree just as Lalaith would have, and sat in the position he was at earlier. He immediately started scanning the area intently, anything dared to come near, Strider was determined to spot it.

His eyes flicked steadily as he began dreaming. Dream Lalaith looked around to see he was standing in a clearing. The fellowship was talking, waiting for him to decide something. He continued looking around confused. Abob slowly walked up to him and smiled. Abob: "So should we leave or rest for the night?" Lalaith looked around and noticed the fellowship was defintatly tired, even Strider's shoulders were sagging. He thought for a while then nodded. "We are tired, sleep is one thing we need. Strider will you take first watch?" Strider walked up to the two and smiled. Strider: "Gladly." With that the group began laying down and sleeping. Lalaith couldn't fall asleep so he layed against a tree watching everyone. He scanned the peaceful scene smiling contently. He looked at Lauren and gazed at her. He was happy. THen a noise was heard. Four arrows struck Strider in the chest and head killing him instantly. Lalaith yelled and woke up the whole group. Lauren was the first to react. She ran up to Strider then turned around just in time to see a monster swing his sword killing her also. Lalaith tried getting up but he couldn't. One by one the fellowship began being killed. Lalaith couldn't move. All he could do was watch. He began crying watching this. Abob was the last to go, he had ran over to Lauren trying to revive her. As he worked over her a monster jumped on him and stabbed the sword through Abob's back. Abob's face twisted in agony and as he fell he looked at Lalaith. Abob: "...help" Lalaith watched in horror as the monsters continued to stab Abob. Abob was looking at him for help and he couldn't do a thing. He tried to scream, tried to get the monsters attention but no sound came out. All this was his fault. He began crying harder. End of Dream Lalaith sat up with a start still crying. He looked around and saw everyone still alive. He breathed deeply. He wasn't going to let this happen. We were all asleep, and the monsters attacked. The entire fellowship was killed, one by one. I couldn't do anything, I was frozen..." Abob: "Do you think it is a vision?" Lalaith: "No, but I'm not taking any chances. We're leaving now." Abob: Right, you try and relax Lalaith. Being our leader seems to be putting a lot more stress than usual on you..." Corey
My face twisted itself into an abnormal, real smile. I was dreaming well for a change. It seemed that whatever force that was driving mine, had taken the period off. Dream I walked dilegently through the forest. I was happy. The world seemed bright. There was nothing wrong. Suddenly I took control of my dream. I had control where before I was just watching. I touched a tree trunk. It felt rough and pleasent on my battle-worn palm. The sun shone brightly on my face. I upturned my head to look at it and felt the warmth of the ball of life wash over my face. Lalaith- "Ryan, come here. We are having a celebration." Lalaith poked his head from behind a tree and then ducked back. I smiled and walked toward the spot where he had been. I rounded the tree and was suddenly in a room. I sat on the chair put behind me and looked over a feast fit for kings. We were obviously at Rivendell. I could hear the waterfall in the background. It's mist covered the hall in a kind of angelic glow. I smiled and looked at the feast. The entire fellowship was there. Lalaith, Abob, Lauren, Samantha, Iondarc, Strider, and two people I could not make out. Their faces were blurs. They must be the members of the fellowship that we have not met yet. I held up my glass and looked at the lavendar liquid. Ryan- "To the salvation of Middle Earth. Everyone- "Here Here!" /Dream Lalaith- "Ryan. Ryan, wake up. It's time to leave." I pulled my head from the dirt. I had apparently fallen over while sleeping. I attempted to say 'What?', but coughed out soil. I rubbed off my tounge and looked at Lalaith. Ryan- "Not," I coughed. "funny. Why are we leaving?" Lalaith- "I never said it was funny. I have a hunch." I noded. He threw my robe at me and walked off smiling slightly. I stared daggers into the back of his head and got dressed.

Abob looks around to find all the other members of the fellowship packing their thing and looking around much more than usual. There was something intangible in the air, something evil. It wasn't good... He walked over to his things, and packed them neatly into his backpack. He had finished and was about to put the pack on, when he noticed something on the ground. It was an arrowhead from the battle, and it was covered in the monsters blood. The arrowhead was made of stone, but the black blood had been absorbed into it and now the arrowhead was twice its normal size and taking the shape of a... Abob *Shouting*: "Lalaith, get over here!" Yoda
Abob and Strider remain at the back of the group, bows in hand, ready to fire on any chasers. Lalaith led the group from the front with all the strength he could fathom. An arrow shot over the heads of the fellowship, hitting a tree some way infront of Lalaith. Strider stopped, and turned as he fixed an arrow into his bow. He let it fly, and it shot through the darkness. There was a thump, and a wail, and Strider knew that he had hit something. Another arrow shot out from Abob's bow, and both turned and began to run again. There was another wail, and then a loud cry. Arrows were flying at them, 3, 4 at a time. Strider turned and dropped to one knee, drawing another arrow. Abob realised his act, and decided to follow. He turned, drawing an arrow of his own, and they both waited as the others ran. Strider waited, waited until a creature was within his keen elven sight. He let the arrow fly, and it hit the creature in the head. Abob let off an arrow of his own, which hit another creature in the neck. Strider: What's going on... we hit orcs. Abob: We'll worry about that later... let's go. Boba Fett
Abob and Strider run as fast as they can through the pitch black forest, occasionally shooting an arrow over their shoulders in a futile attempt to stop pursuit. Ahead of them by almost twenty feet, Lalaith and the rest of the group are running, their swords drawn. Abob: "Strider, do you hear that?!" Strider: "Yes, but what in the world..." The earth begins to shake and Lalaith stops, causing everyone else to come to a sudden halt. The main group stands still, in shock. Abob and Strider catch up seconds later, and follow Lalaith's gaze to the ground in front of the fellowship. There is a stream, it is swelled as if there has been a tremendous storm and is about to overflow its boundaries. The water is blood red, and upon closer inspection is blood. Here and there bodies float down the river, all of them horribly mangled and mutilated beyond recognition. Beyond the river is a village, burned to the ground and still smoldering. Sui Generis
Lalaith looked at the stream coming at him then turned to face the direction of the attackers. The stench of the dead was becoming horrible. This was no place for a battle but they could no longer run. The stream hit them, this wave only covered the tops of their feat. He grimaced as an arm brushes past his leg. He clenched his sword so that his knuckles were ghostly white, and he began trudging towards the orcs. "We will fight..." Lalaith questioned himself. He sighed and led the group towards the horde. This was going to be a horrible battle. The orcs finally came into view they were running screaming. When they saw the sight fo the blood stream coming towards them they howled for joy. The sound was horrible, it pierced Lalaith's ears making him wince. Lalaith gripped his sword handle tighter then as he reached the first one pulled it out of his sheat and while doing this sliced the first orc through the chest. The fellowship came running up behind him. Lalaith began fighting the orcs. Looking he saw no end to the orcs. This was impossible, there were too many. He shook his head and continued fighting. These were orcs and only orcs, he'd faught these many times. As he began fighting he suddenly became aware of warm liquid dripping on his face and down his back. As he looked up he saw red falling from the sky, as one droplet hit his face and rolled into his mouth his face scrunched up. It was salty, blood. This was becoming disgusting, there certainly was magic involved, he hoped. He continued fighting the orcs trying to keep his balance as the stream's current got stronger. He didn't want to leave yet, he figured the orcs would lose their footing before the fellowship did. "We shall fight hard, we will not die, its not our time!" Lalaith yelled this more as a reminded to himself than anything else. He began moving quicker. He began fighting harder, moving quicker, and striking without mercy. He no longer was thinking. There was a void in his mind. Nothing, just the battle. Side step, slice, thrust, block, attack. Thats all. Blood, orcs, death, swords, flesh, bone. That was all. Nothing else.

She said, placing a hand on the old man's forehead. "I know it's a little bitter-" "Fever?? What good will that do?? Mina already told me I was to die in four days!!" The man exclaimed, sitting up. "She told you?" "Yes Relee, she did." The old man replied, sighing. Relee looked down, and took a deep breath. "She shouldn't have told you, now-" Relee paused, and took a deep breath. Yoda
Strider held in his left hand Anduril, and his dagger in the right hand. He was shoving his way through the lines of orcs, cutting and stabbing, punching and blocking, his reactions were impeccable. One orc came with a horizontal swipe at Strider's head with his axe. Strider ducked, stabbed the orc in the chest with his dagger, then rose and punched the orc to the floor with his other hand, where he would die of blood loss. One orc came at him with a long knife, swiping vertically at his head. Strider sidestepped, and cut the orc in the back with Anduril as he passes. In one fluent turn, he hit another orc, slashing through his neck with his knife. He had to ignore the blood at his feet, seemingly swelling up from the ground. He had to ignore the blood that seemingly rained from the sky. What form of sorcery is this? Strider thought as Anduril beheaded yet another orc. Strider felt something hit his back... it was the back of another. He turned, bringing his sword down in a cut, and it was met by the sword of Lalaith. The two shot a breif smile at each other, even though they had nearly murdered each other, and went back to fighting. Strider turned, and threw his dagger at a charging orc. It hit the orc in the neck, and he collapsed with a stream of blood pouring from his neck. He ran towards the downed orc, and dived over his corpse, pulling out the dagger as he did so. Upon landing, he went into a roll, and took out another orc through a stab to the chest. He blocked the sword of another orc, and stabbed him through the chest with his knife. He was using the very rough, physical, and yet tremendously effective style that his father used. The sword would be held in one hand, but mainly used only for the initial strike or block, the knife would actually claim the most lives.
Boba Fett
Abob stood behind the others, notching his bow and firing arrows at the hoard of attacking Orcs as fast as he could. An arrow would fly from his bow, and an Orc would fall. Arrow...Orc...Arrow...Orc...Arrow...Orc... Then, suddenly he was out of arrows. He slung his bow over his shoulder and pulled his long knife from its sheath. He charged forward, in front of all the others and outside the defensive semi-circle they had formed. He dodged left and stabbed upwards, disemboweling an Orc. Then he ducked a sword and rolled right, knocking an attacking Orc over. He stood, and then continued to move forward, killing an enemy here and there as he ran. He was more than a hundred feet from the rest of the fellowship now, and beginning to tire. That was of little importance now, as his plan has succeeded. The Orcs were confused and in disarray, not sure where the greatest threat was. Some stood still scratching their heads while others killed each other in confusion. Abob ducked another sword, and then dove forward, avoiding a giant club that had been swung at him. Then he was out, at the other side of the hoard. He several potions from his bag and began to lob them like grenades into the mass of Orcs. The vials broke when they hit the ground, and exploded into purple fireballs. Abob delivers a crushing blow to one of the three Orcs who have pursued him, but another of the beasts takes advantage of Abob's hasty strike and drives its sword through Abob's side... Corey
Ryan- "Abob!" I saw Abob skewered by the Orcs blade. I started to advance into the tide of oncoming Orcs but remembered that I was still semi-powerless. I clutched my staff and chanted a simple spell. The staff glowed redhot yet was cool to my touch. I ran through the orcs hitting them as I went. Every time I hit one it burst into flames. I felt a knife pierce my upper arm. I hit the Orc that had stabbed me and turned away, back to Abob, as it flammed up. A group of Orcs was advancing on him. "Abob! Hold on!" I clouted another Orc and was finnaly at Abob. He looked up at me. Abob- "Ryan..." Ryan- "Be still my good friend." Blood was leaking from a gaping hole in his side. I looked back at the others. "Over here! Help me protect Abob!" Juu
Relee followed up the creek, watching the streaks of red paint the rocks with their color. When she approached the gate of the village, she stopped and talked to a guard in her native language, bursting into gestures as she spoke. The guard nodded, and let her outside the gates. She had told them she needed herbs for more medicine, so she didn't have much time to see where the red was coming from. Relee looked down, to see the head of an arrow in the water, that still seemed new. She could tell she was getting closer. Perhaps it was something other than one injured person or animal... She walked up the steep road up the hill, and stopped at a tree to see what was going on. She grimaced when she saw about twenty dead men on the ground. There had been a battle... but they must have moved further north... She thought, pondering ahead with caution. As she walked, she put her index and middle finger on the men's throats, to see if they were breathing. They were dead. Yoda
Strider started charging through the gangs of orcs, heading straight for Abob as best he could. Anduril was nearly a blur in his hand, orcs were falling by the score as he pushed and stabbed through the masses of enemies. Arrows shot at him, missing his face by inches, but it did not heed him. His own personal safety was not a factor right now, he had to get to Abob. Strider ducked and turned as an orc blade came flying to take him head off. With one swipe of Anduril, he took the orc down by severing his knees. He got up, and sheathed his knife. Now, holding Anduril in both hands, he pushed forward, taking huge, cutting sweeps with the broad bladed sword. He reached Abob in what seemed like very little time, a row of bloody, trampled, dead orcs in his stead. Strider knew it was pointless to check if Abob was ok, wasting the time doing that could get them both killed. Instead he turned, and started taking down more orcs, the best way to help Abob was by keeping them from him.
Boba Fett
Abob lies on the cold ground, blood trickling from his open would. He had given himself a potion that would accelerate the healing process, and slow the bleeding. He knew his wound wasn't going to be fatal, but the Orc had it him in the worst place possible. The blade had opened up a very old cut, given to him by Sauron in the fellowships first quest. It was a wound that would never heal, and his potions would have little effect on that dark magic. It could keep him out of the action for a long time. But at least they were defeating the Orcs. Less than twenty were left, and it was a miracle that they had defeated the hoard, which had outnumbered then a least ten to one. It showed just how good they were, but also how many minions this new threat seemed to have at its disposal if it could afford to sacrifice an entire Orc clan to simply delay them. Strider finished off the last Orc by bringing his sword down through his opponents brittle skull. Then the fellowship's attention turned to the wounded...
Sui Generis
Lalaith ran towards his wounded friend. An orc saw him running and changed at him. Lalaith continued running and swung his sword backwards in time to sever the head from the running orc. He continued hoping over dead bodies and dodging orcs. As he got closer to Abob he slid to Abob's side. He helped him sit up. Lalaith looked down at this friend's wound. It looked back. Then something hit him. This wasn't the first time he'd been hit there. This wasn't good. He tried to keep his face set, but he knew Abob could see the worried look in his eyes. "Don't waste your energy..rest. When we move we will carry you.." Abob: "I should be fine soon.." "I don't want to take that chance..Strider come over here!" Strider ran towards Lalaith and when he got there he nodded. Strider: "Yes?" Lalaith leaned over and whispered something into his ear. As Strider ran off he smiled. "You'll be traveling in style my friend, on a cart, you'll get plenty of rest!" Abob: "Lalaith you don't have to do this.." "Oh come on, you must be insane not to want to ride in a cart!" Lalaith smiled. He lent over and took a weed out of the ground. He smashed it with the butt of his sword then applied it to the wound. "Thats the extent of my knowledge my friend, its a simple elven trick to slow down the bleeding. Of course you know this.." Ryan arrived and nodded at both of them. Lalaith sighed. He had to check up on the rest of the fellowship. He stood up and looked at Ryan. "See what else you can do to help him." With that Lalaith walked off to check up on the rest of the fellowship trying to keep his features set.
Corey
My head hurt. Something was attempting to push it's way in again. I shook my head and momentarily stalled the beings invasive attack. I whacked another Orc and looked down at Abob. He was trying to fight as best he could, raising his sword and stabbing Orcs. Lalaith said for me to see what else I could do for him. What could I do? My eyes lit up. Over the time we had seperated after the last quest I had studied some white magic. I now knew some rudimentary healing spells. Ryan- "Cover us!" I knelt beside Abob as the others that were near made a circle around us. Abob- "Ryan... What the..." I put a hand on his mouth. Ryan- "Shhhh.... Galintho Helartha Cura Jelcani..." I put my hands over the wound and a bright light eminated from them. Abob tensed, as if touched by something very warm, and then relaxed. He stood up and looked me in the eyes. Abob- "Ryan, when did you learn that?" Ryan- "No time for that now. First we mus..... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!" The pain ripped through my skull. I dropped to my knees and looked pleadingly up at Abob. Abob- "Ryan!" My eyes went black and became full of fire. Abob took a step away. "Everyone! Drop!" The entire fellowship turned a questioning eye at Abob. Tendrils of black-rimmed fire drifted up from my shoulders. Lauren was the first to drop after Abob. Then Iondarc and Lalaith went next. Samantha went last, dragging Strider down with her. My body floated off the ground, majestically. Ryan- "GrrrrrAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!" Black-rimmed fire blasted out in every direction, incinerating everthing around. All the Orcs dropped, now no more than a pile of bones. Trees exploded, shooting boiling sap through the air. Undergrowth turned black and crumpled. The only thing that did not get burned was the life closest to the ground. I fell to the ground twitching and groaning. The presence had left my mind, but what exactly did it do?
Yoda
It wasn't long before Strider had returned, he was riding on a cart, the wood was ashen black, almost as dark as the horse. The horse had muddy hooves, and newly sealed cuts. No doubt Strider had helped this horse out somewhat. Abob: Is this the best you could find? Strider: I am afraid so... this horse way the only one with any life in him. Most of the others were collapsing on their feet... or worse. Strider had lessened the tale of what he had actually seen. It was horrid... most of the horses were burnt or burning, and almost all of them had arrows in them, orc arrows. They were the horses of the orcs, which was the strange thing... Strider had also noticed that two of the healthiest looking ones that lay dead, had arrows in them that he recognised. One of the arrows, through the horses cranium, was that of Abob's. Another arrow, through the neck of another horse, belonged to Strider. These must have been the horses they had hit when they were being persued. The horse he had found, was one of only two left alive... he had tried the other first, but it had collapsed under only the weight of the cart. This one was hiding in the forestry nearby, and it took Strider meer seconds to coax it out. He still prayed that Snowmane were with him though... he was strong enough to carry the entire fellowship all the way into the heart of Angband...
