SSJ_WILLIE Posted October 23, 2002 Share Posted October 23, 2002 It's not that Gokou couldn't handle ssj-3 it's that he couldn't sustain the power for a long time yet. Kind of like how gohan couldn't stay super saiya-jin when he first transformed in the hyperbolic time chamber. Plus, GT changes a few things, as mentioned before. Vegitto4 Posted October 23, 2002 Share Posted October 23, 2002 Well, thses fine members seem to have answered the question. me thinks that because of the power surge, and the strain it took to get there, SSJ3, was just a tad bit to much. However, by the time he ascended to SSJ4, he had been used to the constant powering up to high levels, and such, therefore, the power up to ssj4 didn't take to terribly much out of him. Charles Posted October 24, 2002 Share Posted October 24, 2002 Well, also we must remember, that he only had a limited reservoir of energy available. Once depleted, he would have to return to the after life. Also, at that time, he had very little experience with the Super Saiya-Jin 3 transformation. Once he comes back to life and battles Majin Buu, he handles the transformation very well. But, the SSJ3 is very taxing even in GT. In fact, Gokou attempts to train when he becomes a child, because maintaining SSJ3 for an extended period of time is difficult in that state.
