Gaming Final Fantasy Spins offs

As many of us have heard, the next Final Fantasy game is called FFX-2. It is a spin-off of FFX, (obviously, =)) using Yuna as a main character. little info has been released, but the fact that Yuna looks pretty much the opposite of what she looks like in FFX and may be using 2 guns. my reason for posting this is, what would your idea for an FF spin-off?

Mine off course would be about, Sephiroth. Either a all new story about him, or a game that follows him while cloud and the gang from FFVII. Of course sephiroth would win in whatever evil he did in this game =).

Whats your idea?

I think it would be very cool if you could play from the bad guy's perspective. Sephiroth would most likely be the best choice, as he has a considerable back story to work with. I'd definately check that out.

This FFX-2 game isn't really interesting me though, despite all my posts about it heh.

I would choose Kuja perhaps. I would love to see the events leading up to his insane rampage in FF IX's world.

if i could make a final fantasy spin off it would be to follow seifers journey in FF8, he could have his own Gfs aswell
another gud one would be a FF7 spin off, not a sephiroth one but about the rebirth of shinra, adn the main charcters could be the children of the heroes of FF7

Hmmmm. I'm actually writing one of those. Only it's bit bit wierd. I wondered what The FFV cast would be like if they were suddenly thrown forward into our time, and had to like go to college (I reckon they'd be about 18, right?) and get a job and junk...

Well, as I was discussing with Semjaza, Yuna has been robbed of her innocense. It's all well and good to express the beauty of the human body. But, this shift in character is [I]terrible[/I].

In my book, SQUARE has become a whore. Blatantly exploiting Yuna as a Lara Croft wannabe in order to sell more copies is outrageous. Seeing her head on the body of a silicon ridden stripper isn't my idea of staying true to FFX. It's especially nasty considering the fact that her face reminds me of my sister for some reason, lol.

As for a FF spin-off, I think it'd be cool if they made a game about the War of the Magi, from FFVI. It could explain more about the Statues and the Espers, and end with you saving the world from destruction at the end of the war, with the Espers retreating into their own world behind the Sealed Gate.

It'd be really cool if you got to play as the Espers, and have low level magic as your main attacks, with more powerful spells requiring magic points. You could have different Espers, some with black magic, some with white, and some with effect magic, so it'd be like you'd have different types of mages, almost. The only thing that'd be hard to do would be summons, because the characters you'd be playing as [i]are[/i] the summons, lol. :cross:[/color]

Personally, I'd like to see a game about the 'Great War' in FFVII, between Wutai and Junon/ShinRa. That would be very cool--Being able to play as Sephiroth in his prime, commanding squadrons of troops whilst nailing everyone else. Or maybe playing from the perspective of Gordo, fighting for Wutai? That'd be interesting.

Me, I would like a game to play off of Jecht's life, so we can watch some of his Blitzball games and get he FULL story of his and Tidu's life. That way we can see Auron and Braska and what they had to do to defeat Sin.

I would really like to play a spin off of Final Fantasy Tactics where I could play as Delita. Or better yet, they could just make another FFT's game. GAH!!! I have been waiting for this game since before I even touched FF7!

yeah, but I am too poor to buy a GBA. And I just dont like the GBA. College is just way to expensive for me. They need a FFT2 for the PS2.

If they did that then I just might shed a tear of joy. And I mean it.

I don't think any of the worlds at least in 7-9 are worth re-visiting, because they have them pretty much covered.
Let's take them one in a time (*includes ending SPOILERS if you haven't played the game yet!*)
FFVII: Okay, Sephirot was defeated and the holy-magic spreaded through the world. Yet, Aeris lies dead in that freaking pond. :mad: I don't think they can do much about Cloud and Tifa, either. Cloud is a brat, and doesn't deserve Tifa. Tifa can hook up with... I don't know, Red?:smirk: Shinra's are all defeated as well, and it's aaall about rebuilding. Wouldn't want to go back there.

FFVIII: Well, actually, I haven't played this game throughoutly, so the very ending lies hidden to me. ANYWAYS, the world is all mixed up, there's a freaking NATION hidden in Centra that nobody knows of. The characters I loved -mostly because of the appereances- but they aren't really recyclable, EXCEPT Sylphie and Irvine! They COULD wander around, but in some other world, and it's not really good to stick characters from one world to adventure around another.

FFIX: Yes, Garnet is da queen, and all is well in the kingdom. So? :therock: Zidane&co will fetch her, saying "Why don't we go merrily roam around Gaia, irritate some hiding villains and stuff?"? I don't think so. This world is pretty much covered.

So, I don't know about FFX-2, will it work or not, but a sequel from the three I'VE played will most probably be a flop... although the thought of Sylphie and Irvine began to tickle me...;)
