I chose other, as in Ed and Ein. I believe that they would do great if they had their own series. Of course, it would be mostly comedy, but it would be good nonetheless.

However, I'm not sure how long this thread is going to last. It has little to do with Cowboy Bebop and it is similar to picking a favorite character, which is against the rules.

I choose Faye. They don't really go into her life that much so a spin-off wold be great, in my opinion, with her. That or Vicious. Or possiblly a series about Spike, Vicous, and Julia still in the Syndicate, and Jet still in the ISSP, how Jet and Spike meet...We may dream... Lataz

Yeah, well, I didn't pick Spike for obvious reasons. I mean, I took the Cowboy Bebop series mainly about Spike, as he is the main character, LOL. ;)

But yeah, I'm actually trying to write sort of a fan fic about the past of each main character. Should be pretty interesting.

I like this topic, even though it is considered to be a "favorites" one. There is a lot of potential for this thread, if people would just put more thinking into their posts.

A good spin-off for Bebop would not stray too far from its' basic premise: bounty hunting and secrets from the past. Jet and Faye are still alive, and with their shady backgrounds some interesting stories could develop. Ed and Ein could come back to the Bebop too, and maybe some additional characters could be added.

There is plenty of room for spin-offs in the CB universe. :whoops:

I couldnt agree more, Shyguy. The huge amount of characters and the depth put into many could be easily rerouted to a spin off. More than one definetly. I would like to see a prequel series about Spike and his life with Vicious. Through out the whole series of CB there are lots of hints and clips but a good solid series about it would do well. It would be kind of sad though, like when you go see Star Wars Episode 1 and 2 and fall in love with Anakin and in the second one and don't want to face up to the fact that he will be Darth Vader. I would think the same of Vicious and Spike, they would work together but you know they would eventually have a problem.

what I'd like to see is a prequel to the whole Spike/Julia/Vicious thing. in the series, they gave little flashbacks about what happened, but not enough to get a really good story of what all went down. hey, it worked for Kenshin, it could certainly work for Cowboy Bebop.

EDIT: dagummit! I just reread vegeta rocker's post and realized I had basically put the same thing! my my, silly me. I feel like a fool now :flush:

a great add on to the series would be further indulgence in the history of spike and viscious, before they became enemies. hopefully, if knockin on heavens door is a hit in theaters, they might be pressured to do just that...
Well, now you're trying to mix the society of Japan and America and whatnot. You see, even it is a hit in theatres here when it comes out dubbed, what makes you think it would influence the creators from Japan to make a sub-series? I'm just saying, Cowboy Bebop is done and over with, even the movie is old news in Japan, so I doubt they'll decide to pick it up.

I think a series about vicious and spike's past would be good. Of course, Julia would be in it, too.

Or something about Faye's childhood would be good. I've always wondered about how she used to be.

A series about Jet when he was still a cop is also a good choice.

I can't really decide which would be best.

I think there could be a pretty kewl series having to do with Faye's life, before or after her freezing...etc..

It would be pretty fun seeing how she did before the end of the series, and what happened to her after, and before she ran into Spike.

Edward would do pretty kewl too. ^^ There could be a whole different anime having to do with her travels with her father, or how she lived before she ran into the bebop crew.
