Well, I used to be called ShadowGohan (SG), but was able to have that changed to Break. It's a long story, James was telling me about Shift (I think that's Herman) so I started going "Caps Lock, Shift, Ctrl, Alt, Alt Gr, Print Screen, SysRq, Scroll Lock, Pause, Break, Insert, Home, Page Up, End, Page Down, Num Lock". I was just looking at all the keys on the keyboard, and I just thought "Hmm, Break sounds pretteh coolbeans." So I had it changed.
Well, now that James has so kindly given me a name change (and a quick one at that), I might as well explain my new name.

I used to have a website called Kinetix (coming back soon hopefully) and the word Kinetix sounded familiar so I looked it up in a dictionary. Sure enough, I had heard it. Kinetic Energy: Energy created by movement. And now that I'm in Physics class, I know all about kinetic energy and the name sounds awesome so there you have it :p

Well there is this band called Rancid. I like them very much. So one day I saw James announcement and I was like "hey, I need a new name", so I was thinking of a new name when suddenly like a rocket ship it blasted it in to my head. RANCID! The band is one of my favorite, I decided to look in the dictionary and to my suprise

Rancid Having an unpleasent tase or smell.

Most people don't like me on this board so it fit perfectly.

A few years ago, my friends and I used to play laser tag alot. Before I took a clean shot on someone, I'd say 'lights out'. Kinda corny, kinda cool; but I started using darkness as my name when I registered for a game, so I use it now when I can.

I use 'darksueno' for things that I can't use darkness for. Dark is obvious, the sueno part is dream. DarkDream. You like?

a lot of people know why mine...at least the people who were on back then did, it came from a whole lot of drink, drugs, insomnia and kneeling in the mud in front of a castle... no really it seriously did.
I've known you since, 'back in the day' and I never knew that.:freak:

My name came some time after I got my first computer. At the time a good friend was setting up my computer for the internet and such (I didn't know anything at the time). We came across having to think up a AOL Instant Messenger name and I couldn't think of any. I came up with HighG214. Its basically the first half of my street's name, the first letter of my last name and the number of my house. Stupid? Yes but hey I still use it even today since its good to keep a different SN. Anyway, at the time was getting more and more of the fan of Zero from the Megaman X video game. It wasn't until about a month or so later that I came up with the name ZeroG214. The cool thing is that after putting some thought into it, that SN fits me perfectly and pretty much use it on just about all of my other programs that require an SN. (Except for AIM.)

All of these name changes are hurting my head... It took so long to recognize people, and now I have to do it all over again heh.
And that's exactly why we don't have a name change feature. It's also why people have to have their old names in their signatures for a little while.

As much as people want to change their names...this is exactly why we haven't just gone ahead and put in the name change feature right away. :)

Yeah, I have noticed that one word/one syllable names are pretty popular. Lol, then Tony can remember them easier. :p

Hmmm, I'm new, but I'll say how I got this name anyways: I used to use the sn dogiechan, then I diecided (sp?) to change it to catzbane because, I don't much care for cats and I was reading a book and it had things about dragon's bane and what-not...and I am not creative enough to think up a different name. Two word (or more) names are actually better, so you lose. And I can remember, I just have to forget all the old names lol.

Ok well the story behind my new name: Lalaith Ril

Lets see one day I was really bored and decided to run around and look at some Elvish dictionaries. I was humming along when I finally decided I thought it'd be kinda cool to have an elvish name. So I looked around and finally came up with Lalaith Ril. Its a rough translation but it means "Laughter's Flame". Lalaith=Laughter and Ril=Flame. Yup so right as I was doing this I happened to see "LOTR The Second fellowship" on otakuboards and decided I would be an elf named Lalaith Ril. I used it, and had it for that whole trilogy. I also used it in two other RPG's. Well some people...LAUREN...couldn't get past calling me Lalaith Ril...so well I decided to change it, so vua la. My name.

I know I know not very fun at all...

Guest Anakin Solo
My new name is the real name of Grand Admiral Thrawn from Star Wars. The books with him in it, are my favorite, so that is why I changed my name to it. :D

mine was originally genkai_yyh, and was till yesterday....

im not THAT obsessed with YYH anymore(even though im listening to the theme song currently), and i only REALLY like the genkai tourney, that's about it..... though the rest of the series is great..

i thought that i had kinda grown out of that name, and that it might be giving me bad merit because i KNOW that there are YYH haters...

but genkai still has a great ring to it..

uh, if it helps, SA, try looking in the sig for the former username...heh
