RicoTranzrig
Hmm, this should go under the Final Fantasy fourm...you might want to give an explanation as to why they're your favorite as well.

Guest Zeh
You forget Break, we can have Favorite topics as long as they stay coherent. I hadn't seen a problem with that one.

Guest Chocobo
I din't have ff1... I've never seen it in a shop, I'd get it if I could! But I'll vote according to what I think in ff5 :)
Semjaza
After all that stuff, only one person attempted to answer the question lol. I'd go with Red Mage, simply because they can do magic and still be a decent fighter. Theif seems like the most useless.
Desbreko
If we're talking best class to get through the game, well, I'd say fighter, because you've got powerful attacks early on in the game. And then, when you get a class change and the fighter becomes a knight, you also have white magic available for healing. As for my favorite class, though, I'd have to go with white mage, simply because I like white mages. :p

I mean, some low level Black Magic and White Magic is better than higher levels of one of them. Also their ability to equip many different fighting weapons (not just Mage Staffs and such) makes them very flexible in battle.

Fighter, Red Mage, Fighter, and White mage
Semjaza
Black belts are extremely strong later in the game after your characters grow up. Just don't equip them with items and they do massive damage heh. Really thieves are quick... but who cares? They aren't very strong, and you can't steal anything in the game. I've never really bothered with one lol.
Flash
Black Belts score about a perfect zilch on my list. I mean, after the level up, Thiefs (Ninjas) and Fighters (Knights) can cast Low-level Black/White Magic, which is kind of handy, and the Red Mage is always really well rounded. Not to mention Black Mages own everything once they're at Max. level. (Challenge for those who want one--Play a game with 4 Black Mages. Hard at the start, but imagine 4 maxed out wizards with FIR3 and NUKE and XXXX and stuff... Heh heh, well worth it) So yeah. Overall, Fighters are probably the best, in that their high attack from the beginning makes it easier to get them to a high level.
Guest Zeh
The hardest thing to do would be going through the game with a group of thiefs. White mage's are much better than you think. You don't really die often while using them, it's just inflicting damage that getsa bit hard. I did it once, when i first got the game. I swear i beat it atleast five times the first 3 months i had it.

I contest--Going through the game with a group of Black Belts would be the hardest thing to do. At least Theives can run good, and they turn into Ninjas after class change, then they can cast low-level Black Magic. 4 Ninjas with FIR2? Yes please. Black Belts on the other hand, gain nothing from class change. Except their sprite is uglier. Which isn't a gain. And they don't start getting as strong as a fighter until level 60+... I'd like to see anyone get a group of Black belts to Level 6, let alone 60.

Axel--Ignition
I find Theives to be decent chars in a party. Say that you have some problems with the monsters, you've run out of potions and your White Mage is dead. What do you do? Use your theif to make a grand escape! I find Black Belts useless because they have so few weapons. I'd say fighters are the best, for obvious reasons. My team is usually a Fighter, Thief, Red Mage, and a Black Mage. Not a bad team. I also like White Mages, while not as powerful as a Red Mage, they are more powerful than a Black Mage or (on some occasions) a Black Belt.
