Anime confused need answers??

I am confused, I was watching DBZ today,
(Garlic Jr. Saga)
I missed last week :mad: However I got to see today,
A flash back to when Garlic jr. faced Gohan before.
He was wearing the suit he had on in the beginning of DBZ,
Plus he had his tail!! My Question is when does that happen??
What is the deal with this garlic guy anyway?
Did he ever face Goku, or just Gohan?
By the way Gohan talked he didn't,
I know they cut out a bunch of stuff when they dubbed it,(Funi)
was that part of what they cut,
was it in a movie or do we just not know???
like a flash back to a presumed past? Anyway your thought

Ok, the flashback went to an old movie, called Dead Zone for American viewers. It had Garlic Junior who was after the Dragonballs, and the clip that you saw was Gohan trying to stand up to him.

Garlic Junior is the son of Garlic, a man who competed with Kami for gardian of Earth, but was turned down. Garlic Junior's deal is now to get back at Kami for getting that spot.

So, he starts by gathering the Dragonballs to get immortality. Since Gohan has one on his hat, his henchmen take it, Gohan and all. Soon, Goku, Krillin, and Piccolo all go to Garlic Junior's palace, but he has already wished for immortality. He opens up the Dead Zone, a place of emptyness that he plans to send everyone, but Gohan stands up to him at 5 years old and knocks him into the dimension instead.

Thus, the Garlic Junior saga picks up after Garlic Junior finds a way out of that dimension.
