If you mean why he was angry throughout Evil Dead 3, it's because he wanted to get home. If your talking about his evil side splitting from him in an odd and bizarre manner, it's because the mini ashes dropped one mini ash in him and it grew when he poured hot water down his throat. It then grew and split from him, got shot and didn't look pretty. :D
