Which of these is most important to you

Put these in their order of importance to you:

1. Interaction (does the environment seem alive with reactive items?)
2. A.I. (are the in-game bots convincingly intelligent?)
3. Graphics (does this game look photo-realistic?)
4. Gameplay (does the game itself stimulate your gaming sensibilities?)
5. Story (would it almost make a better book or movie?)
6. Props (cars, guns, planes, boats? do you prefer more toys?)
7. Sound (music, effects, voice overs have to be soundtrack-worthy!)
8. Size (does this game take months to finish?)
9. Design (the more realistic, the better?...... or the more bizarre and creative?)
10. Gore (not for the faint of heart?.lots of dismemberment & blood!)

Nice name -_-;

Um.. Order of preference:
Gameplay- If the game doesn't interest you... what is the point?
Design- there has to be a different mode of some sort to make it stand out from other games of the same genre or series
Size- If it's going to take me a weekend, there's no point to it, really

Everything else more or less comes after that at the same position

In terms of RPGs? For games in general, it depends on the genre.

Anyway, I'd personally put character development first. This is most important to me in any RPG, moreso than a great involving story even. Good character development can totally make up for an average story.

I find that since FF6 (which I admittedly love anyway), character development in the series is very mechanical.

All the other things you have listed here depend on the game, but I'd put gameplay first in any of them. Design would probably be second.

Story- Without a story, what the hell is it?
Gameplay- What use is there having a game that gives off no thoughts or emotions to you?
A.I.- It would be useless talking to a character that just said "hi".
Interaction- Well, nothing could happen that was interesting if there was no interaction between characters and stuff.
Design- No creative design on things in the game would be boring as hell.
Graphics- Square blocks aren't funny.
Sound- Aww, come on, you need a soundtrack that sticks in your head!
Props- Not too important really..
Gore- Utterly pointless.

1.Design-whatcha think??????No design would mess up the whole game
2.Graphics-nobody like a character the look like a built up toy legos.
3.AI-Well.....it wouldn't be very good if the whole character is udderly stupid.
4.Interaction-is it cool that you could float in a Jungle???Nuh uh
5.GamePlay-this is very important to RPG games
6.Story-no story....means nothing coming together
7.Props-more fire power.
8.Sound-gotta love the music
9.Size-doesn't matter
10. Gore-Max Payne good......but Teletubbies........better.

This would be if you are talking an RPG.

1. Gameplay- I don't care about anything else, if a game isn't fun, I'm not going to play it. Why would I spend time on something that makes me bored?

2. AI- I like my enemies to be very difficult to fight. I might not be able to get anywhere, but I keep trying again and again if it's a bit harder.

3. Story Story can make a game more interesting, but I hardly think it should be as important as everyone makes it. Mario Brothers for the Atari had NO story, but I can still play that over and over, especially with a few friends.

4. Size- I'd like it to be a nice long game. I don't want to spend fifty dollars on it and beat it in a couple hours. I don't think a game can be too long, as long as it stays fun.

5. Sound- I like a good beat. I can't wait for a game to use "Linus and Lucy" from Peanuts. ^_^

6. Interaction- I like for characters to say different things, and I like it when you can go around and attack things and they shrink or something.

7. Design- I like things to be very odd, because "Hey, I live in real life, why do I want to see more of it?" I don't want everything to be off the wall, though. That would make it boring, and not as special.

8. Props- Um... I don't care about props either way.

9. Graphics- I don't care anything about graphics. I can still play the NES and have tons of fun. Graphics just take up room where more playing can be had.

10. Gore - This does not belong on a list of important things on a game. What's the use of it? It doesn't add to anything.

The only non-RPG games that meet the criteria as far as I'm concerned are Halo and GTA3. There's a game coming out one of these days called HAVEN that might actually live up to all the criteria, but I'm only basing that on the game description they have at the website:

Haven: Call of the King may just be the most important videogame of all time. With its all new FreeFormer? gameplay, Haven, Call of the King has introduced a new videogame genre, which allows the player to experience multiple gameplay mechanics blended together in a seemingly boundless Universe. Haven is the first game to truly combine groundbreaking technology and unbelievable real-time fully-open worlds. Played out through an epic tale of a hero who seeks to liberate his people from the tyranny of enslavement, HAVEN provides total freedom to move anywhere both on foot or vehicle and spans across seamless transitions between turret based shooting, boat racing, bike battles, plane flight, gladiator arena combat and space exploration. Simply put, HAVEN transcends traditional videogame genres, to deliver the most diverse gameplay experience ever realized.

- I mean that SOUNDS pretty amazing, and the screens look great, but of course I won't know it's actually in my PS2.

This is the Final Fantasy forum, so lets try to stay on the topic here, OK?

I'm not really going to list anything here, i have a better way of saying it.

The only things i look for in a good game are how developed the characters are, and the gameplay. Replay value doesn't mean a thing to me, but it does to most other people. Everything else you listed, i think of after. And sometimes the gameplay doesn't really matter, if anyone here has played Legend of Mana you'd know what i mean. It had no set story line, but i still enjoyed it... hell, it's on my top 10 list of games!
